Ocean View Beach House with Air Conditioning, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

The Hohe's (HOY) Beach House is a private, and spacious 1200 sqft. 2nd story, 2BR/ 2BA Ocean View Beach House, with two sun decks, reserved parking for two cars, and Whole House A/C for those peak Summer days when the Ocean Breeze may not be enough..

We are located at the Southern border of La Jolla, in a unique North Pacific Beach neighborhood, next to the water, at Law Street Beach. It's a great Family Beach. 'The area's best beach' as quoted in (S.D. Home & Garden Mag.). Our Beach features a grassy park, with showers, restrooms, overlooking the beach with lifeguard services, Swimming, Boogie Boarding, and Surfing. Our Pacific Beach/Mission Beach Boardwalk begin at the park, and heads South for 3 1/2 miles through all the Beach Community. We're located close to all the beach has to offer[Beach, Boardwalk , Restaurants and Shopping], yet quietly removed from the hubs of activity for a nice night's sleep.

* We supply the Bikes, Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, coolers... even Boogie Boards and Soft Surfboards, so that you can enjoy the neighborhood the way we do.

** We are Dog Friendly for folks traveling with their pups. Please ask us to send you our "Pet Policy" for your consideration so we both can determine if your pup or pups is a good fit for our place during your stay. We ask a $10/nt. Pet fee.

Amenities also include 3 TVs with Digital Cable, (6 HBOS & SHOWTIME), 3 Blu-Ray DVDs) CD Stereo with smart phone and iPad adaptors, as well as Wireless Internet. Two generous decks, a propane barbecue grill with teak furniture for dining and relaxing.

The Kitchen is fully equipped, with an Ocean View, and Breakfast Bar. We provide two Dining areas for 6 ( inside and outside ), with direct access to the Patio deck and BBQ.

Our Hohe's Beach House sleeps six with A/C... an Ocean View Master Bedroom and full Bath, with Comfortable, Cal King Bed. The Second Bedroom has two Double beds. Both Bedrooms have Cable TV with Blu-Ray DVD, and CD player, as well as Ceiling fans.

** For an additional Bedroom and Bath, we offer special nightly rates to add our Studio Beach Cottage ( located on the property) when rented in addition to our 2 bed / 2 bath Hohe's (HOY's) Beach House.

The Bathrooms are newly remodeled, with tile floors, beadboard wainscoating, full bathtubs and shower w/marble surrounds. Each Bathroom has two separate vanities with sinks.

Close to all sorts of water activities: Boating, Kayaking, Surfing, Swimming, Boogie Boarding, Jet Skis...you name it.

About Steven or Karron Hohe (HOY)

Hi ! We're Steve & Karron Hohe ( HOHE ). My wife, Karron and I are San Diego natives... Born and raised at the Beach. The Beach is in our blood, and an integral part of our lives. We have raised our children here, and are now blessed to have our three grandkids continue the beach lineage. I've been Surfing since I was nine, and Karron is a long distance runner who loves to be able to kick back at the waters edge with a good book. As the co founder of The Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes Restaurants over 30 years ago, we have continued a passion for hospitality. As we have retired from the restaurant life, we have not lost that passion.

Why Steven or Karron Hohe (HOY) chose Pacific Beach

As a boy in High School, my folks moved from the beach to a few miles inland from the water. I was naturally upset, and did all I could to get back to the beach every chance I could. After College, I bought my first home near my parents, but always kept my sight on the beach...'Some Day' I'd say ! One home at a time I was able to first get back to the beach, and each time a little closer to the water. One day, 27 years ago, this great Beach Property came up for sale. We jumped at the opportunity, and will never move again. In the few blocks that make up our beach neighborhood, most all properties have two homes on each lot. This presented the perfect opportunity to live in one home ( my favorite place on earth ), and be able to personally share the 2nd home with others. Our Beach Home resides on the same property as our Hohe House & Guest Studio. We truly enjoy sharing our homes, neighborhood, Beach, and community with folks. We love it here, and try to set you up with everything you will need, from Bicycles & Boogie Boards, to Wireless Internet, so you can enjoy our town the way we do.

What makes this house unique

This neighborhood is close to all the unique places in San Diego that make it so special. A 10 - 15 minute drive to every attraction in town, or park the car and stroll or bike to all you need to be quite happy and refreshed... again, we provide the bikes. You have a nice ocean view from our Beach House, and though you are close to all... you will be quietly removed from the hubs of fun activities, to always get a quiet nights sleep. You can listen to the waves breaking while you lie in bed, and appreciate the wonderful sea air. It's a 2-3 minute walk to have your toes in the sand. You will also have us as neighbors. Though we always respect your privacy ( sometimes we never see our guests at all ) we can always be available to help guide you to all the best spots to explore, shop, or dine.

Had a fabulous time in The Hohe House! Our first vacation with our two Boston Terriers. Grandkids and friend came to visit and enjoy PB. We are only from a community 25 minutes away...and we have traveled all over the world and this is my favorite little piece of Paradise!

What a wonderful experience!!!

We couldn't immagine how COOL are Steven and Karron, how BEAUTIFUL is their house and how STRATEGIC is their location.

My husband and I had an amazing time during our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable, and you could tell our hosts thought of everything when putting together the place. Our only regret was that we didn't get to spend more time there. We will definitely be back!

Quiet yet close to popular areas

We really enjoyed our stay at Hohe house. It worked very well for our family of 4. We were able to bike places and walk to the beach. And overall it's a pretty convenient area for visiting different tourist locations in the area. Steve was a gracious host and the kids really enjoyed giving their dogs treats as we were coming and going.

Very roomy, clean and comfortable!

This beach house is in no a terrific location. The house is very well appointed and quite comfortable. We enjoyed using the kitchen. It has terrific views. Everything was in good working order!

The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. There are all the beach toys you could want available.

So close to everything!

We have been vacationing in SD for the past 12 years, the last 10 of which we camped. After our stay here I don't see camping in SD in my future. I was very skeptical about renting someone's house but, the Hohe's made everything so easy. Our request for reservations was answered the same day and any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed.

The home has had a lot of updating and they recently installed air conditioning for their guest's comfort. We didn't use it once! We just left the windows open and let the breeze come in. The ability to hear the ocean from the home was also a big plus. The fridge and cupboards are stocked with several items but there are so many fantastic places to eat within a 5 min walk or short bike ride. If you like fish tacos and civiche you need to try Oscars on Emerald. My new fav place for fish tacos!

Outside there is a huge shed with everything you would ever need for your beach vacation. Chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards, surf boards and a wagon to haul it all in. There's several bikes with locks and also helmets. Really. You don't need to bring a thing! There's even beach towels in the house.

Steve and Karron are wonderful people. If you need anything they are there to help. Even with surfing tips! Their place is perfect and we've already been making plans for next year! The only bad thing I can say about Hohe House is that it's not mine!

You can visit all the sites that San Diego has to offer, and on other days, just relax, and enjoy hanging out at the house... walk over to the beach, Sunsets, walk and ride bikes to most anything you need in our Pacific Beach Neighborhood.
