This beautiful, modern vacation rental cabin with amenities like a hot tub offers the perfect location for winter and summer as it is a short walk to the Sandy River trails and a 15-20 minute drive to the ski resorts of Mt Hood.
The home is set on a double lot which gives you plenty of space and privacy without being too far from the conveniences of the shops and restaurants in Rhododendron and Welches.
As you enter the home you are greeted with an inviting living room with beautiful hardwood floors and a gas stove that keeps you nice and toasty! There is a sofa that converts to a full-size bed so it is a great sleeping option for a couple or for kids.
The kitchen is thoughtfully finished with granite counter tops and a slate tile floor. It is fully stocked and offers a couple of nice extras including an espresso machine and an electric griddle. The dining table between the kitchen and the living room seats four and expands to six, so it is easily adaptable to suit your needs.
The master loft features a sitting area with a picture window looking out into the cedars and vine maples. If you open the window, you hear the nearby Zigzag River. The knotty pine ceilings, recessed lighting and ceiling fans make it a comfortable setting for rest and relaxation. The queen pillow-top bed has a down comforter, and the sofa/lounger folds down into a full-size bed. There is also a flatscreen TV and a DVD player that is great for winding down after the day's adventures on the mountain.
The second bedroom is downstairs and features a queen pillow top bed with a down comforter. The full bathroom is also downstairs.
This unique vacation rental offers loads of amenities to make it the perfect home away from home including a wireless Internet connection, a large deck off the back of the house, a private hot tub and a firepit in the backyard.
There are plenty of activities surrounding the house for kids and adults of all ages. You can check out Mt Hood Coffee Roasters and watch them roast a fresh batch of beans or you can tackle the slopes at Ski Bowl, Mt Hood Meadows or Timberline. The summer activities include hiking along the Sandy River or taking some excellent photos with Mt Hood views on a walk along Mirror Lake.

Recently remodeled kitchen and loft were nice and in good taste. Owners were very pleasant to work with. Surroundings are peaceful and serene.
This place was exactly what we needed! The hot tub was very clean and well maintained. The property was in a perfect location with a big back yard for the kids and dog to really enjoy.
As we arriced neither of the porches had been shoveled, 3 feet of snow were on both porches and to the hot tub. It had been there long enough it was ice and the plastic shovel provided wouldn't break it up. The hot tub was set at 95 degrees. No notes that this would be the case, so we found out in our bathing suites after climbing over the snow to get there. The downstairs bed is horrible, the springs pop, and is on wheels, and on hardwood floors that are slanted. We rolled during the night into the door. I understand it is an older cabin and it has been updated. We have rented a number of cabins and beach houses in this price range and didn't feel it was a value compared to the others we have rented.
This cabin is so cute. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, they provided so many things...towels, bedding, tons of pillows, anything you need in the kitchen. They even started the wood stove so that when we got there it was nice and warm. I highly recommend this place.
I think the property needs a deep cleaning once a while. The coffee maker was nasty the night we came in, the toilet seat was cracked and put together with duct tape, the higher windows of kitchen had a lot of spider webs, the batteries of heater control died on us the first night, I was going crazy trying make a radio work, it turned out that the power outlet of kitchen wasn't working at all, the bathroom tub has stains or mold of old water sitting there, the worst disappointment was at the very last day, when we removed the bed blankets, we realized that the very bottom one was filthy dirty, we thought the blankets were clean at the time of checking in. I'm not trying to be pickie but I'm sure that we left the place way cleaner than the way we found it and I really wish I could get a refund, that would be more than fair.
It is wonderfully maintained and ready to just show up and enjoy. The hot-tub was already running when I got there which was a nice touch. I appreciated how well stocked the kitchen, bathroom, laundry area(s) were as well. I stayed with my dog for 5 days.. we hiked every day and hot-tubbed every evening (me, not the dog;). Everything was clean and the communication was great. I would recommend this property and intend on booking it again next year.
