The Ledroit Townhouse was perfect for our visit to DC with our two children. The house had lots of natural light and felt cozy as well. It was clean and comfortable. The location was great to tour the city with the Metro close by and the parking permit was helpful since we had a rental car to visit friends in Virginia and Maryland. We always had parking right near the property no matter what time we returned to the house. We had no qualms about feeling safe walking around in the day although we would probably not walk around late at night. The owner was very responsive-- taking care to make sure we arrived ok and felt responsible when we arrived to the fire alarm beeping due to the need for a new battery. Unfortunately it was somewhat late DC time, the owner was not in town and there were no spares in the house so we purchased some batteries on our grocery trip. It was easy to replace the old battery with the new one. The next day however, she had returned to town, came by and reimbursed us for the batteries and set out some chocolates for us while we were out and about. In addition, I had forgotten to let her know what time we were leaving and then asked the night before if there was a possibility of leaving the property a couple of hours after her check out time and she was able to accommodate us. We would definitely recommend this location-- much better than staying at any hotel for both comfort and the expense.
I spent a weekend at this house. I thought everything was ok. Pretty close to everything, longest drive was about 10 mins. Close to bars restaurants etc.
I must say that the only downfall was the fact that I was charged for a "broken wheel on a vacuum " that I never used. Charged for trash "strewn throughout the house" which was entirely false because all of us went around tossing all the trash. And charged for "dirty dishes" which is false because I ran a whole new load. I emailed them asking not to be charged because the accusations where false but instead of working with me they went ahead and charged me anyway. Nice.
All I can recommend is that while you're there don't eat or sleep or have trash because you will be charged for the house keeper having to house keep.
This rental was perfect for my family and my parents (4 adults + 3 children) during our trip to DC to celebrate my father's 70th birthday. It was a short 7-10 minute walk to the Metro and then it was just a couple of stops to the mall and all the attractions. The townhouse had everything we needed and the owner was super accommodating. She called to ensure we arrived safely and even brought over donuts one morning! While we were there, we got one of the drain plugs stuck and when we texted her, she was willing to come over immediately. Thankfully we were able to get it up without help, but I was impressed by her quick response and immediate action. I would definitely recommend this townhouse to anyone visiting the DC area.
It was a great house for 8 people. The house was very clean and comfortable. Large enough for all of us even if the bathroom is quite small. Easy to park with the parking permit delivered by the owner. Not far from metro and from groceries and nice restaurants. To recommend!
The house was very clean, comfortable and the location too was close to everything you need and to visit in D.C. I would surely recommend this house. The house was spacious too for 8 people.
It was perfect for our family of 7 (4 generations). Large enough for all of us and very nice. The outdoor area is very relaxing. The subway was close and a great way to get around. I ordered groceries ahead of time online from Safeway and they were delivered not long after we arrived. The owner is very accommodating and great to work with. Will stay again.
