This is an absolutely charming guest house in the best area of Sherman Oaks. We are right near the intersection of Ventura Blvd and Sepulveda. Walking distance to the Sherman Oaks Galleria, with an Arclight theater, 24 hour Fitness gym, Burke Williams spa and restaurants.
It is a studio guest house, with a full bath, walk-in closet, private laundry, kitchenette. Plenty of space for 2 people. We DO NOT have a full kitchen, we have a refrigerator, microwave, Nespresso Coffee, and dishes, similar to most hotel kitchenettes.
Because of our location you can get just about anywhere in very short time. Beverly Hills is 20-30 minutes away. Downtown LA is 20 minutes away. CBS Radford studio is 10 minutes away and Universal Studio's is 15 minutes away.
The guest house is about 500 sq feet so much larger than any hotel room you can get for the price. Even our local basic Marriott is over $200 a night for a regular room. This is your own cottage, private entrance, totally detached from main house.
It is furnished with a very comfy bed, sofa, chair, dining area, dresser, TV with DirecTV and free internet. There is air and heat as well, tons of windows and light and in a beautiful backyard with tons of fruit trees and lush lawns.
We only allow 2 people max including babies and children, no pets or smokers. Please do not ask for more than 2 occupants.
If you are coming to LA and want something more like a home for a great price, this is the ticket!

This cottage is beautiful! Very clean, great location, and in convenient safe neighborhood. Elizabeth is a phenomenal host, pleasant to work with and highly organized...we didnt have anything to worry about except to enjoy our vacation. We travel to California every year and would absolutely stay here again.
We had a great stay in this little gem located (behind the owner's home) in a very quiet neighborhood in Sherman Oaks. It is equidistant to everything there is to do in the Los Angeles area. Within walking distance to good restaurants and shopping. Owner is very friendly. Cottage was very brightly lit and immaculate. The linens were better than most hotel's (extremely appreciated!) A great stay in LA!
Just be mindful of street cleaning rules; park on the wrong side, ridiculous $73 ticket!
This is the second time that we stayed here. It is a quaint little cottage that fully fulfilled our needs. The cottage has many amenities, and it's very reasonable. The cottage is located behind the owner's home on a quiet street in Sherman Oaks. It is walking distance to the Galleria and many restaurants. It is not meant for more than two people. The owner is quite hospitable. I would highly recommend it.
I stayed here for 2 weeks while apartment hunting. It was great, with plenty of parking! Quiet, and very private. Loved the restaurants and shopping on Ventura Bl. Convenient to both the I-10 and the 405 so great for heading downtown, or to the beach in Santa Monica.
Elizabeth knows Los Angeles well, so was an excellent resource and very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a home-like atmosphere over a hotel room (no shared walls or slamming doors!) – no need to worry about your belongings while away and you’ll definitely get better sleep!
I had an AMAZING time staying in LA. Elizabeth was so helpful with details, and was quick to answer any questions I had. The house is really private - I hardly ever saw her, but when I did she was always friendly and greeted me with a smile. The location is great - just off the highway, and within walking distance to a galleria (outdoor mall for your East Coasters like me). There's plenty of restaurants, Starbucks and some shopping there. Commute during rush hour to Hollywood was about 1/2 hour. Not bad for LA traffic! Parking at the house is a breeze - just pay attention to street cleaning signs.
I highly recommend this cottage for a quiet get away or in our case for business travel. It was very quiet within a secure gated yard that is very well maintained. We only saw the owner upon check in and prior to our check out. Prior to our visit our questions were promptly answered by email in a very courteous and professional manner. I would stay there again.
