at home in London's West End
We just returned from a month and our third visit to this wonderful flat in the middle of everything. We could rave for pages about the joys of staying here, but will try to highlight just a few. First, the owners are real, welcoming people who know how to make you feel special. Their third floor flat (with an efficient lift) features a well equipped and spotless kitchen, comfortable bedroom, and spacious and quiet living room with a great view of people rushing to the many theatres in the neighborhood. There are numerous good restaurants nearby, a handy supermarket, and a tube stop around the corner. Also, entry and exit for the flat were easy. We managed to enjoy 14 plays in 28 days from this central location. Of course, during the days, we could easily walk to the many excellent museums and parks in the area. If you are looking for a great location in central London, this is your place. Our only selfish regret in writing this glowing recommendation is that too many people will want to stay there and it will make it more difficult for us to return. Kudos to the owners!
Fulfilled highest expectations
Very clean, beautiful apartment. Excellent accessibility for my mobility-impaired spouse via elevator. Difficult to imagine a better location for theater, Trafalgar, underground, and shopping. Useful kitchen and Tesco grocery nearby. Highly recommended.
Charming flat in the center of it all!
The flat was delightful, it was close to all of the downtown attractions, we didn’t even need to use the tube. We read some reviews that said it was loud, but other than Friday and Saturday nights during prime hours did we hear much of anything and once the windows were closed, nothing at all. We felt perfectly safe at night for late walks and found several charming restaurants nearby! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Patrick and his wife were charming and replied quickly to us and kept us informed of everything we needed to know — Great people renting a great flat!
Excellent location, flat and host
Location, location, location ... but not only that.
It´s a great flat, comfortable and with everything you need. Patrick is an excellent host, very helpful and who answers back any question really fast.
We had a great time at his place and we would like to come back in the future.
Amazing location, comfortable apartment complete with amenities
The apartment is very well located to everything you could wish for - variety of restaurants, retail shops, theatres, museums, supermarket, underground tube etc. It is in close proximity to Charing Cross Rail Station, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and Chinatown, all within walking distance. The nearest tube Leicester Square station is just across the road.
It is a good size one bedroom apartment complete with amenities. It feels like home. The bed is very comfortable, my child loves to procrastinate in it. The kitchen is fully equipped and so we end up making some of our meals during our 10 day stay. There’s a sofa bed which can comfortably sleep 2 adults and to our surprise, it is also quite comfortable. You can tell that this is an apartment that has been lived in by the owner before.
As the building is located along the main road, it can be quite noisy. But once you closed all the windows, the noise are shut out. We arrived in June so the weather is still cool to shut the windows at night. But I think it would be warm and stuffy in the hot summer if the windows are closed.
This is a large and very well equipped apartment just off Leicester Square (and so pretty much dead center of London's West End). The Underground is a very short walk away and taxis roll past your front door regularly so there's never a problem finding one. Add that for all its amenities it's less expensive than any decent centrally located hotel and just as easy to book, and it's appeal is obvious. My wife and I visit London regularly, and we don't plan staying anywhere else. Enough said.
