In 2009 we completed a major whole year renovation of our tradtional home. We kept the traditional atmosphere while creating comfortable, safe B&B rooms with new ensuite bathrooms and we offer them to you including a nice Dutch breakfast.
We own a traditional split-level building but there is no need to climb a lot of stairs because all our rooms are on the ground level or first floor. Every room has a new, private and en-suite bathroom, good showers, heating and lots of light (and often gardenview). All rooms also have a dining-table for 2 or 4p, private coffee & tea facilities and free access to our WiFi-network (but do bring your own hardware).
We offer a Dutch Breakfast with local breads, cheeses, sausages (cold cuts), jams, orange-juice etc. While serving breakfast I always have plenty of time to answer your questions or, on request, suggest things to do or places to eat. Also on any other hour of the day you are welcome to contact us. Our B&B rooms are on the lower levels of our family-home so also an early or very late arrival or departure is never a problem.
Our family consists of my husband Paul, our 2 young kids and me Charlotte. We run the B&B entirely without outside help so you always know whom to address and we know for sure that everything is as clean and complete as you may expect it to be.
We try to offer a good balance between privacy, attention and help. We do speak several languages (English, French, German, Dutch and a little Spanish & Portuguese) and know our city well. We are looking forward to share that knowledge with you.
IMPORTANT: THE PRICE SHOWN ON THE RIGHT IS FOR ONE ROOM FOR 2 PERSONS ONLY. You can find the prices for more than 2 persons by clicking the ´RATES´-tab above and check the ´NOTES´ on that page.

B&B Jordaan is perfect in every way! We spent 5 nights and loved every minute. The rooms are perfect. We had both rooms on the first floor. The room with the bunk beds was perfect for our two grandchildren and us to share! The breakfasts were delicious and delivered to our room. Every day, they were slightly different and always more than enough to fill you up for a busy day of sight seeing. Charlotte's tourist information was invaluable! Everyday, when deliverying our breakfast, Chatlotte would inquire about our plans for the day. She gave us suggestions of places to see and the best way to get to the sight. You can not go wrong staying at B&B Jordaan!
My boyfriend and I were on a weeklong vacation in Amsterdam and stayed at the B&B Jordaan. Charlotte put us in the ground floor garden room—if you're staying for more than a few days, book the garden room! It's sunny, has a table and chairs for eating outside, gets light all day long, and is floral and beautiful.
Every morning Charlotte brought us a delicious Dutch breakfast, which consisted of a rotating menu of sliced meats, cheeses, yogurt or a hard boiled egg, fresh squeezed orange juice, and a selection of breads. We never had breakfast anywhere else, the food was so good. We had a french press for coffee and a tea kettle for tea that stayed in the room throughout our trip—good for me because I like tea all day long!
Charlotte was beyond helpful—you couldn't ask for more. She gave us a long list of delicious local restaurants, then pointed them out on a map so we could find our way. We were allowed use of the Amsterdam info books she kept on hand, and because we were kitchen adjacent, she even allowed us to keep some leftovers in the fridge. This is a place to stay when you want to feel at home!
Most importantly, at least for me, was how helpful Charlotte was all around. I have a problem with my left sacroiliac joint, which falls out of place, causing one side of my body to be higher than the other, and resulting in constant pain. Unfortunately, after 3 days of walking in the wrong shoes, I threw out the joint worse than I have ever done before. We told Charlotte, and she immediately called her manual therapist (Chiropractor, for the Americans), who was unfortunately away on vacation. The office suggested sending me to some freshly graduated medical students, and Charlotte said absolutely not—I needed someone with experience. Within a day I had an appointment with the manual therapist who works on the Dutch National Ballet Company. I was fixed within a day, and I truly believe had I stayed anywhere else, I would have , I would have either been waiting in an emergency room for an entire day, or suffered through the rest of the trip in pain—never mind the 8-hour plan ride back home.
Charlotte saved my vacation! We've already told Charlotte we will be back next year, & plan on it. B&B Jordaan truly felt like home, and suffice it to say, it was very difficult for us to leave. The beds were incredibly comfortable; the room was cool, clean, and private; the neighborhood is a family neighborhood with lots of kids, nice antique shops, bakeries, restaurants.
B&B Jordaan is a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of sightseeing. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts of local cheeses, meat and bread are generous and hearty enough to keep you going until evening. Rooms are cheery and very affordable. Easy access to all areas of Amsterdam from this location. Would be happy to stay there again =)
We were a party of 6 and had the pleasure of spending 3 evenings at the B&B Jordaan.
The rooms were just as they were in the picture and very clean. The showers were awesome with plenty of hot water.
Meeting Charlotte was a treat. She has all the information at hand for her guests. You can read her books or pamphlets or ask her anything you need to know. Her English is perfect.
Our breakfast each morning was delievered to our room at exactly the time we requested.
The food was fresh and enough to satisfy our hunger.
The area is one of the better ones in Amsterdam. We were close to almost everything.
The street is nice and quite and set back in from the main road for a good night rest.
We all agreed that if/when we return the B&B will be where we stay.
You certainly get the value for this great quality spot to spend your days/evenings.
Thank you Charlotte for making our stay in Amsterdam a nice memory we will always treasure.

This was a great B & B Very wheelchair friendly and our hostess was wonderful
This b&b is located in a quiet street in the Jordaan area and there are many small cafes and bars within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. The owner, Charlotte, was very professional to deal with when arranging the booking and was helpful with suggestions about places to eat and visit.
The apartment is particularly convenient if visitors plan on visiting the Anne Frank Museum. I highly recommend booking the museum visit on-line to avoid the long queues.

The Jordaan is a dense patch of small-scale streets and canals peppered with interesting shops, galleries, charming 'hofjes' and inviting brown cafes. Quirky and characterful, with an intimate, easy-going atmosphere of it's own. It was built for workers even before the 'Grachtengordel' (Canal-rings) were completed.
