Welcome!! Cabrite Villa overlooks the Pillsbury Sound, the passage between St Thomas and St John, Jost Van Dyke and Tortola. From your private deck you have an incredible panoramic view of the crystal clear water of the Caribbean and a dozen islands great and small. As you dream your day away gazing out you will see the most elegant boats float by, while listening to soothing music and the sound of waves crashing on the cliffs. The temperature is a perfect 85-90F cooled by the ever present trade winds.
We are located 10 minutes walk or a couple minutes drive from the Ritz Carlton. The picturesque small harbor of Red Hook is located 3 miles away with many restaurants and entertainment options in addition to the ferry to St John. The best beaches on the East End are only minutes away; the beaches of the Ritz Carlton, Secret Harbor, and Sapphire. The world famous Magens Bay and the St John National Park are within easy reach, giving you an endless opportunity to explore.
This modern Villa is built on one floor, surrounded by a 2 tiered porch of 2300 sq ft!! The pool with the outdoor wet bar, grill and a large dining area are located on the first deck. The second level has lounge chairs in addition to a second eating area. Take a SWIM any time of day or at night under the stars.
The living area is also on 2 levels surrounded by 2 full walls of glass. There is no place from where you cannot see the ocean and feel the breeze. Open the glass doors with full screening to lounge on the comfortable modern furniture. There is a stereo system and 5 CD player with in and outside speakers. (We are working on a music library..bring some copies of yours to share). The second level has the well equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, full size oven and an eating area. In the pantry there is a washer and dryer. The master bedroom has its own bath with a unique and private shower. Lie on the queen size pillow top bed and watch the boats in the distance. The room is equipped with TV with DVD player, cable and a Polk isonic with connection for iPod and iphone. The second bedroom has a shared bath, a queen size pillow top bed. No TV for now. There is air conditioning and fans in both bedrooms. For Internet service there is a 1 Meg DSL Modem and a wireless router in the Villa.
We are located in one of the most romantic, secluded, private and at the same time diverse areas of St Thomas. An occasionally paved lane takes you to the house with its own parking area. (See attached map) We recommend you rent an SUV or jeep but if you wish, our hostess can arrange for your pick up and she can make car arrangements for you too. We can pre-arrange lots of fun things for you to do. There are many activities within a short distance from the Villa to choose from: snorkeling, fishing, diving, kayaking, golfing and parasailing just to name a few. You can charter a boat to go deep sea fishing and or to the BVI or island hopping. You can provide us with a food and drink list prior to your arrival and will have it stocked for you!! You can enjoy a glass of champagne immediately!
You can get married here too, have a perfekt honeymoon!

I fell in love with St Thomas on my trip in 2002, ever since my family has returned frequently. This is our second home, we can't stay away! We love the warm crystal clear water of the Caribbean, the people, the music, the food. We also go diving frequently, the visibility is incredible. We charter a boat occasionally to interrupt our lazy day and go island hopping from St John to the BVI exploring beach bars like the Soggy Dollar and Skinny Legs.
Katharine Navone purchased this villa in 2010
We saw many properties and villas on St Thomas, but when we stepped on the deck of our villa with its dramatic cliff-top view it took our breath away!! The incredible view off the deck, the living room and the bedroom, it was love at first sight.
The panoramic view is breath taking..still not sure how many islands are on the horizon. We take walks in the morning to the top of Cabrite Point and the Ritz Carlton sandy beach and we jump in for a quick swim before returning home. You can take a sunset sail on the Lady Linsey or you can rent a kayak, paddle boat, Hobbie Cats. You're minutes away from Red Hook with more then 10 restaurants and the famous Duffy's Love Shack.
Thanks for the great time at Casa St. Thomas. What a neat place. All
we could do is marvel at the interesting boat traffic that cruised by.
You have a gem of a property!!!! Upscale restaurants, trendy
bars and a beach within walking distance, what else do you need? One
doesn't have to imagine too hard becoming an islander full time. Many
I have stayed here on multiple occasions, and each time has been the same great experience. The outdoor area is outstanding. The views plus the pool create the most relaxing place I have ever been to. Our favorite part though was how close to redhook you are. This is where you can eat, party, or catch a ferry to check out some other islands. It is literally a 5
Min drive. I highly reccomend taking your vacation or short getaway here. The owners will make it easy on you to book and begin your vacation.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Cabrite Villa. The owners made the booking process so easy despite our weird arrival date. After finding out it was our honeymoon, we arrived to a sweet note of well wishes and a bottle of rum to get our vacation started off right! I could spend every second out by the pool. It overlooks the end of the island and all you can see is ocean. I can't think of a more relaxing and romantic way to spend a week than surrounded by the sea. If you ever get tired of that view, it takes literally 5 min to get to Red Hook/the ferry to St. John and the beach is a short walk away. The house was clean, well stocked (all you need to prepare a meal), and while subject to the wear and tear of salt and sand, everything worked as advertised. We will most definitely return to Cabrite Villa!!
We stayed in the villa for a week with another couple and loved it. Best view on the island.
The outside pool, patio, view, speakers, and privacy is spectacular! Additionally the location is perfect in the East End with easier access to best beaches, ferry to St John and Red Hook pubs. The bed was great in the master (only was the two of us) and breeze so good we never turned on the a/c all week. The inside is plenty good enough, and the kitchen stuff worked great and was well stocked with pots/pans (we cooked breakfast every morning and steaks on the grill for dinner once). Yes the doors stick a little, just like every other house we've stayed on that's this close to the ocean - do not let that one review sway you from staying here if you are a couple looking for a fantastic ronantic spot!
We stayed at the Cabrite Villa with another couple for a week. The views were amazing and the space works well for two couples. The outside space with the large deck, small pool, grill, etc. were perfect. We cooked several meals at the villa and found the kitchen equipped with anything you would need. There are two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and two bathrooms. Driving in St. Thomas was bit of a challenge (not used to the driving on the left side of the road) and the area is quite hilly. Red Hook is very close and has everything you would need. We found the owner very responsive throughout the process and would highly recommend Cabrite Villa for anyone venturing to St. Thomas!
I was asked to take down my first review, but I don't think I should have. It is a wonderful place with issues. The view and outdoor area is amazing. The issues get old after staying a month. The important ones are the doors. I slammed my thumb trying to shut them, bruise was there for weeks. Almost lost a hand on another door. The maintenance guy came out twice to help grease them. The owner says she will replace them but I wouldn't recommend staying there until they are replaced. Very dangerous. Beds are super comfy, sheets don't fit. The furniture is very old and you will fall through the sectional if you sit on it in the wrong place. Hard to find comfy place to sit so we spent most time outside. We were happy to do that! The house has plenty of mold so if you have a mild allergy then just make sure you have your meds. I had to find a dr to get a inhaler. I have pics and video of it all. It didn't bother my husband so it's just a problem if you are allergic. Hard to avoid the mold since the house is so close to the water. The trade winds are great and the a/c in the bedroom is perfect. We loved the area so much we bought a place there! Nice to have a washer/dryer there and they work great. The location is perfect.
Sunset beach walks are amazing. Renting a boat for the day and go island hopping to the BVI or deserted islands is an unforgettable experience. Bring a passport.
