Well kept tidy with great amenities. Wonderful helpful owner and manager. Really nice to have all the basic stocked and ready for you with a well-equipped kitchen and basic supplies. And of course the desert in the pool are fantastic. My family and I loved it and hope to come again

Great place to stay. Well maintained and beautifully decorated.

We love the area, and enjoyed staying in this casita. I would recommend replacing the bedroom pillows, as they were flat, and uncomfortable. The patio was filled with visiting quail, red Western Cardinals, and various birds. I loved sitting on the patio drinking my coffee.

Lovely sun-drenched Casita

  • 5 of 5

Was a good choice as it turned out. Spacious casita, we were very comfortable. 2 bedrooms separated by LR gave privacy. Each BR has its own full bathroom. Kitchen very well equipped. Washer/drier. I shopped for groceries at Whole Foods and Trader Joes, prepared many of our own meals at the Casita and saved much time during a busy week. It is located adjacent to the huge Marriott Starrpass where our conference took place. I drove past the neighborhood swimming pool on our way in and out of the complex, but did not have time to swim. Marriott provides a shuttle back and forth and we were either at the Marriott or touring Tucson until late each evening. We would book again, next year (2018). Thank you Janet!

Great Casita in the Desert

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in the Golf Casitas twice now in the past couple of years. This Casita has everything to make your stay enjoyable. Very clean, well furnished, comfortable beds, and every little thing you need, from appliances to a little cooler to toiletries! The back yard seating area has bird feeders (birdseed to replenish in the closet) to attract wildlife right outside your door and is fenced in to protect you. Trails are accessible right though the back gate. We truly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back to Casita 21!

A home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Casita 21 on a recent trip to Tucson for our son's wedding. This Casita is perfect for a vacation; we only wished we could have stayed longer! The Casita was very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The two bedrooms provided plenty of room and privacy for our party of 5. The second bedroom has it's own entrance, a mini fridge and microwave. There were plenty of towels and bed linens; the Casita also has a washer, dryer and iron if needed. We enjoyed having coffee on the private patio in the morning overlooking the golf course and the Starr Pass Resort. The view at night was spectacular!

The owner Janet was very easy to communicate with. She was quick to answer emails and phone calls with questions we had. We consulted with her on area attractions as well as dining logistics for our son's rehearsal dinner.

I would highly recommend this Casita and give it 5 stars! We look forward to returning soon!

LOVED this casita!! Brought my mom here in April 2014 because due to her health issues, I needed a two bedroom place. This casita was just what the dr ordered!! Mom and I each had our own rooms and bathrooms, and saved a lot of money fixing our breakfasts and a few meals in the cute kitchen. We popped popcorn in the microwave and stored the yummy Chocolate Therapy ice cream we discovered at Albertsons - in the freezer for our evening snacks! We live in a very windy area of California, so mom LOVED sitting out on the patio - so peaceful and quiet - with a GREAT view. Each day we looked for the javelinas to visit us, but only caught a glimpse of one as we drove up to the casita one night. Mom still teases me that she doesn't believe they exist and that I'm making them up! The older I get, the more I want some peacefulness in my life - and this casita is a piece of heaven for me.

I loved it so much that my husband and I rented several days this Oct 2014 - another awesome stay! Love taking walks around the area, and the pool is really nice. Is a great base camp to branch out from to do daytrips and other activities. We plan on returning to see Tubac, taking some good hikes right nearby, seeing the butterfly exhibit at the zoo, eating at North restaurant at La Encantada mall (try to crispy potatoes there - yummmmm), and of course seeing the USC/U of Ariz football game every two years (hubby is a USC alumni).

Am bringing mom and my sister back here in Apr 2015 so that my sister can take a glass blowing class at the Sonoran Glass School - they have a lot of artistic opportunities here - just a lot of neat things to explore in this town!

Janet is a great owner - she is great at communicating - and is very willing to accomodate any special requests. I was concerned mom would slip in the shower w/o a bathmat (many hotels don't provide these) - but Janet made sure I had one for mom. Also got extra towels :) The casita has a lot of things you need - spices, olive & canola oil, salad dressings, condiments, napkins, basically everything short of the food you'd want to fix yourselves. Very convenient. What I love about it is that you don't really HAVE to go out anywhere - is so peaceful and wonderful just hanging out at the casita, that is nice to just be there. How many vacation spots can you say that about?

Am dreaming I can own my own casita someday :)
