We stayed at this house for 9 days over X'mas/winter school vacation. We found the house and its surroundings in good order and to our satisfaction. I definitely think it's a great place for a great price. The owners even decorated a X'mas tree for our children!
Since we cooked at the house quite a bit I had to improvise with pancake making :-). Probably a whisk and a mixing bowl would be good to have at the house, but as I said I improvised and made our pancakes twice without a problem. Oh, and we couldn't figure out how to turn the cable TV on, but since we hardly ever watch TV at home, it was again not a problem for us. Children played outside if they had energy left after day outings or had their own electronic devices to play on and the Wi/Fi worked fine at the house. So, in general we glad we booked this place and recommend to others. We had sufficient space, but wouldn't recommend for more than 5-6 people. We were 4 (two adults and two children) and it was perfect for us.
I'd love to come back and explore Everglades, state parks and beaches again, do strawberry picking, even buy a 'dangerous' Knauss farm's cinnamon bun or two (the yummiest bun ever tasted).
Location was a nice experience in the Redland Agricultural Region. House was super clean with all amenities including washer and dryer. Really enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location. Close to Biscayne Bay, Keys, Everglades, shopping. Great getaway with family, friends or couple.
The house was perfect! It was spotless. Julie was very helpful answering questions we had before we arrived. The setting is very rural, peaceful and quiet. An easy drive to all attractions. We spent a few days exploring the everglades and keys. We would recommend the house to anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable place to stay.
My husband and I Stayed in this lovely home over Thanksgiving week. Perfect!
Within 30 minutes of the southeast entrance to the Everglades. Minutes to the Florida Turnpikes.
The home was clean, nicely appointed with everything we needed. Perfectly situated on a quiet acre surronded by an orchard, natural habitat and a large field.
Will definitely stay here again!
The home was in the Redland area. Very clean & had all ammenities including a washer/dryer. Owners responsive & friendly. Close enough to attractions & far away enough for privacy. The Zoo Miami is a must & check out City Church in town.
We chose this home because of its proximity to the Everglades. It was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was a perfect size for our family (2 adults, 2 kids). We loved the surrounding farmland -- we felt we were staying somewhere quiet and remote given the big yard and farmland all around us -- yet we were still very convenient to the Everglades and Homestead services. The sunset from the back deck was gorgeous! Key Biscayne had a great beach to go to, as well, about an hour away.
