Couldn't be more pleased with our week stay in homestead at this cute, very clean, private, secluded home!! Came down to visit with our new grandbaby and this house was perfect in every way! Loved the location (out in the country yet minutes from everything you could need), loved the quietness of the country and set back at the end of a private road surrounded by lush landscape. Will be visiting more often now that we have a new baby in our family and will be calling again to reserve this home. Thanks so much!!
My husband, 20-something daughter and I enjoyed two nights here, April 8-10, as the springboard for our visit to Everglades National Park. Home was comfortably furnished with all we needed to make dinner one night and a couple breakfasts, as well as to do our laundry after our hike thru' the Everglades River! Had a wonderful sunset view and enjoyed the peaceful and quiet surroundings of adjacent orchards. Enjoyed the space and being able to spread out as well as have private sleeping spaces. It was convenient to the National Park where we would highly recommend a day with Garl's Coastal Kayaking for a knowledgeable and fun guide, plus great adventure with plenty of wildlife and habitat viewing thru' an Everglades River trek, followed by lake kayaking, and then a coastal sunset kayak. The home was also close to shopping for groceries and suntan lotion, and the fun Robert is Here fruit stand/fruit shakes.
We stayed at this house for 9 days over X'mas/winter school vacation. We found the house and its surroundings in good order and to our satisfaction. I definitely think it's a great place for a great price. The owners even decorated a X'mas tree for our children!
Since we cooked at the house quite a bit I had to improvise with pancake making :-). Probably a whisk and a mixing bowl would be good to have at the house, but as I said I improvised and made our pancakes twice without a problem. Oh, and we couldn't figure out how to turn the cable TV on, but since we hardly ever watch TV at home, it was again not a problem for us. Children played outside if they had energy left after day outings or had their own electronic devices to play on and the Wi/Fi worked fine at the house. So, in general we glad we booked this place and recommend to others. We had sufficient space, but wouldn't recommend for more than 5-6 people. We were 4 (two adults and two children) and it was perfect for us.
I'd love to come back and explore Everglades, state parks and beaches again, do strawberry picking, even buy a 'dangerous' Knauss farm's cinnamon bun or two (the yummiest bun ever tasted).
Location was a nice experience in the Redland Agricultural Region. House was super clean with all amenities including washer and dryer. Really enjoyed the peaceful and quiet location. Close to Biscayne Bay, Keys, Everglades, shopping. Great getaway with family, friends or couple.
The house was perfect! It was spotless. Julie was very helpful answering questions we had before we arrived. The setting is very rural, peaceful and quiet. An easy drive to all attractions. We spent a few days exploring the everglades and keys. We would recommend the house to anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable place to stay.
I loved this place from the moment we arrived. The yard is huge and the property is surrounded by nut orchards and crop fields. The house was very nice, clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for us because of its central proximity to Everglades, Keys, Biscayne Bay and Miami airport. Best of all was how beautifully quiet and relaxing it was. Only regret was that I couldn't stay longer. We never met Julie and John personally but they were only a phone call away when we had a question. We ate at a few of the local restaurants (Mario's being my favorite) and they were all very good. I would recommend this house to family and friends.
