Three bedroom home with pull out bed in loft to sleep up to 10. Located on Lake Barkley very close to Lake Barkley lodge and all the amenities (excellent boat ramp and dock, golf, tennis, dining, beach, fitness center and gift shop). The house is on serene Little Creek Bay within site of the lodge and features lots of fishing and water-sports opportunities. The master suite has a queen bed with walk-in closet and spacious bath. Two bedrooms on the first floor..one with a queen bed and the other has twin beds and bunk beds with a walk-in closet. Rental does not include lower walk-out level.
The house is completely furnished with generous linens, a fully-stocked kitchen with ice maker, trash compactor, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and MediaCom cable TV, WiFi high speed connection, books and puzzles. Landline phone service is free for local and long distance US. There is a lovely screened porch always shaded that includes table and chairs for meals. There is also a big deck with lounge chairs perfect for gazing on the lake and grilling. The dock is very accessible and fun to swim off the dock with a ladder to get back on the dock. There is an elevated fish cleaning board built in for your convenience at the dock. There is no running water or electricity at the dock.
The location is terrific for golfers (1 mile) and fishing plus convenient to Cadiz, a charming town with several antique shops, small grocery stores and restaurants (Sonic, Subway, Pizza, Mexican Restaurant, Country restaurants and famous Broadbent country ham)

This is a home where two families vacation and include their grown families and grandchildren. Everybody has some entertainment they enjoy from the nearby golf to quick access to the lake for swimming, waterskiing, or fishing. Everything to accommodate family cooking/grilling. It is easy to get there (even trailering a boat) as the area interstates connect to a recently built 4 lane corridor at Hopkinsville that goes all the way to Cadiz.

Lake Barkley area is actually where we grew up and our families have lived there for well over 100 years. We have local Civil War, WWI, and WWII veterans from this area.
We are a neighbor to one of Kenucky's best parks,Lake Barkley State Resort Park. The park has a restaurant open all year, golf course, boat launch, marina, fitness center, pool, beach, hiking, and horseback riding,
Everything was just as projected in the VRBO pictures. Plenty of room for our family to gather for our Thanksgiving get together. The big screen TV in the great room was perfect for watching all of that football over the weekend. The kids were able to enjoy the TV and games provided in the loft. We loved hiking down to the lake and were able to walk for quite a ways along the shore. The water was down this time of year but we were still able to do some fishing. We enjoyed being close to the Lodge and the playground, hiking trails and buffet offered there.
We did use the fire pit down by the lake with the kids enjoying the S'mores. Will definitely come back....probably during the warm weather seasons....where we can take more advantage of the lake.
We all had a great time.
The interior of the house was nice- but the dock was missing some planks, a leg could easily slip through those. A little more concern should be given to safety. All the toilet seats were stained from age. It wouldn't cost much to replace those seats.
We were surprised when we discovered that someone else lives in the basement of the house. But the lady who lived down was a kind person. There was very little lake view from the house. But the lake itself was beautiful, had a vast expanse of water to ride my Jetski
Overall, a nice house, very clean and comfortable inside. But a few improvements to the toilet seats and the dock would go a long way. Letting renters know that they would be sharing the house with someone would help too. Renters can make an informed decision about what they are getting into
This is a very nice house that accommodates quite a few people. The location is great if you like to boat in the Lake Barkley State Park area and Barkley marina, where we like to rent a pontoon for a couple days.
House is in very good shape, comfortable living room, nice tv with wifi (def needed in Cadiz!) plenty of space, showers are fine, beds are ok, not great. Someone lives in the lower level but there was absolutely no issue with that and hardly noticed. The only issue we had was the grill was not working properly, and we like to grill. The owner sent over maintenance right away to fix it but only made it a little better. If there was a better grill available, we would probably go back.
The location was perfect-- large gently sloping yard down to a great dock. Private. Home was spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed coffee on the deck. Fishing off the dock, and boating on the lake. Very close to lodge and marina. Perfect for our family of 6. Would definitely consider returning
Great location with access to Cadiz, Land Between the Lakes, and other amenities. House accommodations are as shown and very comfortable.
WiFi on property was good but we had little /no service off the property. Having a land line was nice for phone calls. We hoped to use the charcoal grill in the pictures but it had been removed due to some previous damage to the deck but our s'mores were able to be made on the fire pit by the lake which was nice. Owners were friendly and quick to reply.
Land Between the Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area, has mountain biking trails, wildlife viewing, elk, Bison, bald eagles,deer, wild turkey, etc. Patti's 1880s Settlement is a great restaurant in LBL.
