My penthouse is located in Playacar Phase I which is the PREMIER location in all of Playa del Carmen as it's in a quiet, low density gated neighborhood with private million dollar estates. It's is a 12 minute walk from our complex to 5th Avenue shops/restaurants/bars and the ferry dock.

My penthouse has million-dollar views and you can throw a rock into the ocean from the balcony! This condo and complex is beachfront. You are not only renting from an owner, but a licensed travel agent!

If the idea of a small beachfront resort, a short stroll (10 min) on the beach into town to try a new restaurant and having a private driver greet you at Cancun airport with an icy cold beer waiting for you appeals to you (rather than a large all-inclusive resort with lots of buffet lines) than look no further, you can stop your search! My beachfront penthouse offers ALL of this and more:

Fisherman's Village in the private gated community of Playacar, right next to the town of Playa del Carmen. It's perfect for two couples with a king and a split-king in the 2nd bedroom OR a family because the split king can also be two twin beds.

Fisherman's Village is a luxurious beachfront condominium complex with just 55 units in the quiet coastal community of Playacar just a 10 minute walk to Playa del Carmen. Fisherman's Village is known to be the nicest quality resort/condo complex in the entire Yucatan Peninsula for it's elegance, fine service, and resort-like amenities such as a full service restaurant, room service, swim-up pool bar, full sized pool and a children's pool, water sports, jacuzzis for the complex, air conditioned gym, Spa services such as massage, facials, pedicures and manicures too.

The bottom level features 2nd bedroom, bath, kitchen, living, half bath and dining areas and a large balcony overlooking the pool, beach and ocean. At night you can stand on any of the units balconies and see the twinkling lights of Cozumel across the Caribbean.

One NEW feature of Fisherman's Village is an optional Meal Plan. This is your option which can be decided after you arrive at the complex and used one day, but not the next if you choose. Free for all guest's use at Fisherman's Village are the bicycles, kayaks, boogie boards and snorkel gear! It's a fabulous place for adults and kids alike.

Playa Del Carmen is located just 40 minutes South of Cancun and offers the same powdery white sand and turquoise waters, great restaurants and shopping-- without crowds of wild Spring Break partiers and towering hotels. In fact, Playa has a building height restriction to a maximum of 3 stories!

Fisherman's Village is just a 10 minute walk along quiet cobblestone roads or the beach to the town of Playa del Carmen. Also within a short walk is the 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, the local aviary, and the ferry that takes you over to Cozumel. Most guests do not rent a car during their stay except days they wish to explore other areas of the Yucatan. If you plan on lounging on the beach, shopping and eating out in Playa del Carmen, maybe taking the ferry to Cozumel one day-- you may not want a car the entire time. We can recommend reliable airport transportation to and from Cancun International to Fisherman's Village.

We love to vacation here ourselves. Our boys have grown up at Fisherman's, learned to swim here and boogie boarded the first time in the beach in front of this property. We love the fact that our resort offers Hobie Cats, Paddleboards, kayaks, and other activities like beach or aqua volleyball.

There are butterflies, an aviary full of birds, ghost crabs, iguanas and lots of exploring to do. Mom and Dad like to swim, bicycle and relax but occasionally take in a seaside massage that is offered by Fisherman's Village. We also love the town of Playa del Carmen...5th Avenue is really fun for shopping and dining.

Great location and accomidations

Had a great time! The location is great for access to the beach, shopping, and is very safe. We stayed in this unit with another couple and it worked out wonderfully! The view from the master bedroom and main balcony is excellent and well worth the price. They staff is very friendly and accommodating. Pam set us up with Diego a concierge local contact who was able to help us arrange a deep sea fishing adventure! It is a little bit of a walk to 5th Ave but it's any easy walk. The bellman will help get you a taxi if you don't want to walk and taxis are extremely affordable. We utilized the resort spa a number of times for massages and had a great experience. A lot of the people staying at this resort seem to be long term (multiple weeks or months) and are very easy going and easy to talk with. The beach was wonderful and there were plenty of beach chairs and beds to use at no extra charge. I would love to come back soon!

Best of Everything!

The view from this condo is beautiful and it really does have the best beach area in both directions. Location is perfect! It truly is only a 15 minute walk down the beach to 5th. We stayed at Pamela's condo for 2 weeks February 2018 and we never took one taxi aside from the transfer to and from the airport. We walked the beach each day to the Cozumel Ferry Pier and up to 5th Avenue. We picked up our groceries at Walmart and hubby carried them back to the condo in a backpack. We enjoyed the walk each day and found some great little 'off the beaten path' restaurants on our daily excursions. We loved the condo and the property. Everything is very clean and the staff are all friendly. This was our first VRBO experience always having done all inclusive previously and we loved it. We spent so little on groceries and we weren't dropping $2 here and there all day long. In the end we actually spent less buying our own food than we did tipping all day long at an all inclusive. Pamela has a little BBQ in her unit and we BBQ'd on her balcony a few evenings and it was wonderful and relaxing and we didn't need to get dressed up to go out if we didn't feel like it after a full day in the sun! The condo itself is very nice and very clean and would be perfect for 4 people. I think there's a pullout in the livingroom so you could do 6 if you had somebody that didn't mind sleeping on a pullout - kids maybe. We had a couple of issues ie. the air conditioning on the 2nd floor in the master wasn't working when we arrived but a call to the front desk had a maintenance person up to correct the problem quickly. We never were able to get the TV's working even though we called maintenance twice (they never came - guess they didn't see TV issues as a priority) but Pamela has an assortment of DVD's so we picked one each night before bed. We weren't there to watch TV anyway but it'd be nice to keep up with the news. Most days it was impossible to get a chair at the pool as they were all saved before sun up it seemed but we always managed to find a chair someplace on the property. We loved the pool here! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Fishermen's Sunset Village and Pamela's condo there.

Sorry the TV service isn’t great here. The cable TV is big subject at our next HOA meeting but truthfully with Wifi, one can get news on their phones or laptops. Still it would be nice to be able to get more channels! Glad you were able to enjoy some of my DVDs and yes, my views are awesome! 😊? Hope you return again to this little slice of paradise! PS I’m staying in my penthouse now and there are lounge chairs available even for a late riser like me at 10 am. If you want one right around the pool or one with an umbrella, you may have to be an early bird.

Great location with GORGEOUS view! Smaller resort with well maintained grounds.

If you are not into BIG resorts with all you can eat buffets this is the place for you! Fisherman's Village is located in the gated community of Playacar Phase 1 just south of 5th avenue. The resort is surrounded by beautiful homes with a short walk into town (10 minutes). This family of four felt perfectly safe walking to and from the resort. Taxi's are readily available. Staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.

Pamela (owner) was 100% responsive to our questions and needs. I highly recommend using her private concierge Diego for setting up special tours, activities and restaurant recommendations. He is a true foodie and will not steer you wrong. Our favorites were El Fogon (went twice!) and Salento for Italian. My daughter and I discovered the newly opened Frida Kahlo museum...highly recommend for art lovers. Our guide was so knowledgeable about her life and her art.

Diego set up a tour with Sergio for Tulum ruins, Coba ruins, cenote and then lunch on the beach. All amazing, however we were under the impression that Sergio would be our tour guide within the Tulum ruins and he left us at the door:( (For $110 pp we were disappointed). The book in the condo was misleading as it says that the" tours include historical guides.." just make sure to clarify before you commit. On the up side, I think Sergio provided us with a great experience and a little off the beaten track which we LOVE!

Make sure to snorkel in Ya Kul Lagoon in Akumal. AMAZING...head out toward the open water to see more fish, sting rays and more!

The best thing about the condo is the fabulous view! We got off to a rocky start without hot water for 3 nights in a row because of an issue with the boiler. After long days at the beach and exploring, coming home to cold showers was a bummer:(

Another disappointment was heading out to the beach and pool area and finding ALL of the chairs claimed with towels, etc. by people who NEVER sat in them...while the resort has a policy against this (sign near bar bathrooms) it is not enforced. While aggravating, we often managed to grab at least a couple of chairs and drag them together.

Overall a great spot! We would return tomorrow if we could!

Owner's Response: Stephanie, I'm so sorry about the hot water issue. It was a fluke but building wide, so it was an issue for every guest in the building. Apparently the issue was caused by a careless guest in another unit who flushed a baby diaper down the toilet and it got stuck in the hot water side of the plumbing. It took the maintenance team 3 days of diagnosis to see where the diaper was stuck. This has never happened before but my sincere apologies. The new tour & excursion book inside my condo is new and provided by Diego, the concierge. This is a new service being offered to guests but I've already notified Diego to either not recommend Sergio or make sure Sergio provides the historical tour as promised in the brochure! Any excursion that goes into the book in my condo has nothing to do with me as a private condo owner, but I'm trusting Diego to find reliable and awesome tour conductors! Anyway, your 2 big issues are already fixed so when you come back, hopefully it will be smooth sailing! Thanks again for staying in my condo! Pamela

Pamela's condo is amazing! We stayed there for our honeymoon and were very impressed with its amazing views and location. The beach is well-maintained and the water warm and swimmable. The staff is incredibly friendly and there are scheduled activities to take part in, if one so wishes. I'm not usually interested in group activities on vacation, but these were low-key and very entertaining. We did not do the all-inclusive plan, but opted to eat on our own. It was nice to have a full kitchen in the condo! I highly recommend Pamela's place!

If you like history, there are some major Mayan Ruin sites in the Yucatan penisula. There are dive shops in Playa del Carmen as well as Cozumel- just take the ferry over to Cozumel (45 min). My condo is just a 10 min walk to the ferry!
