I am the Property Mgr. and I am originally from Philadelphia (The City of Brotherly Love). I have thoroughly enjoyed living in Washington, DC for over 25 years and plan on retiring here. I continue to enjoy the tourist sites and the many interesting and historic places that Washington DC and nearby Virginia and Maryland have to offer. I love bumping into famous people here like Senators on Capitol Hill and even see the President's and Vice President's motorcade racing through the city. Since this property is conveniently located near the METRO, it truly simplifies travel to the numerous sites. For example, the White House, The Smithsonian Museum, The Kennedy Center, The Spy Museum, Mount Vernon and countless other places. My desire is that my guests will experience the joy that I have experienced, while staying in a very comfortable home. My desire is to provide an immaculate home with fine accessories at an affordable price. My ultimate goal is that my guest will consider staying in my home each and every time their visit brings them to the Capital City. Washington DC has been my home since 1986 and I do enjoy such a transient city where one has the opportunity to meet so many people of so many diverse backgrounds. I take great pride in living in The Capitol City where one has the opportunity to bump into law makers, senators, diplomats, students from all over the world and many other interesting people. My 20 plus years living in Washington DC has provided me the opportunity to provide a comfortable home in a convenient location at a reasonable price.
What makes this Apartment unique
This Home is equipped with the following amenities: Iron and Ironing Board, Shopping Cart, hair dryer, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, few periodicals (compliment of the owner other valued guests), umbrella, fine china and many other items for your convenience. The home is located on a residential street that is conveniently located only one block away from a vibrant commercial area. There is a Marshalls, Target, Star Bucks, Ruby Tuesday, Five Guys, Day Spa, Radio Shack, Federal Express, Staples, Hair Salon, Sports Store, The Washington Dance Institute and other places of interest. The home is located on a major thoroughfare that is heavy with traffic heading downtown DC in the mornings yet it is a street that grows quiet in the evening and night. There is a lot of foot traffic with friendly neighbors who walk their dogs and many cyclist who utilize the bike path. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION to this lovely apt. is highly encouraged as this home does not have a garage for parking. The METRO Subway train, which is about 2 city blocks (a 2-5 min. walk) is perfect for touring. There are two public parking garages in this neighborhood. We have learned that Colonial Parking, Inc. at Tivoli Square 1345 Park Rd. NW Columbia Heights Washington, DC 20010 has $10.00 per day Parking! This neighborhood is ideal for travel via public transportation because the Metro is less than a 2 minute walk (2 city blocks) away from the home. There are local shuttle services that may be boarded one block away and these shuttles go to many tourist sites. There are buses one block away and many taxi cabs as well as airport shuttles are often spotted in the neighborhood. At the supermarket, a very short walk from the home are bicycle rentals. Please keep in mind that this home is not equipped with a parking garage.

Great location for restaurants, metro
Internet access should be improved. Property managers perhaps over extended, only provided check-in instructions when prodded.
Convenient to city
2 night stay. Very fast response time communicating with property management for small issues upon check in. Parking at garage for $18/day less than 5 minute walk as well as Metro station. Kid friendly and plenty space to stretch out.
Great location 2 blocks to Metro and Target
•Two seperate sleeping areas, good
•No real living room space. Master bedroom in living room
•Nice outdoor space in back, but only usable in warmer weather
•Minor maintenance issues: Dishwasher (couldn't open door), no drain stoppers for tubs and kitchen sink, need bulb in stairway and under kitchen cabinets
•Great location and neighborhood. Giant Supermarket and Target very close.
•Metro station very close (the way to get around DC)
•Enjoyed our stay and would book again
Great location and price
The floor plan of this duplex was pretty tight. It was a little awkward opening the front door right into the bedroom. The kitchen was definitely functional, but definitely didn't allow our group of six to eat together. The dining room only had four chairs. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the fact that the four kids/young adults in our group could all be upstairs together.
There were a few problems that showed themselves on the day before we checked out. We had a mouse visit and eat through all of our snacks on the counter. There was a terrible odor coming from an upstairs closet. And there were plenty of bugs.
We loved being so close to the metro station and to a reasonably priced parking garage. The price made our trip affordable. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again; probably only if I needed something very reasonably priced.
Old Apartment with Problems
Location was good. Close to the metro and grocery store. When we arrived the TVs upstairs did not work and from reading reviews this has been a continuous problem. It was difficult to get WiFi upstairs. No tv and no wifi made things difficult with kids. The downstairs toilet was also broke and this was a huge problem with elderly that cannot walk up the steep stairs. For 2 days we had 6 people and one bathroom functional. The kitchen sink only had hot water when we arrived. The air conditioner also broke during our stay. We had to have window units installed in the bedrooms at 9pm. The gentleman who was the contact was extremely helpful and tried to get things done. However these things are not what you want to deal with while on vacation. We messaged the owner and received no response. Very disappointed. We made the most of our vacation and enjoyed Washington. We will visit Washington again but will look at other options to stay.
Unfortunately, this was the hottest day of the year and the output from the central Airconditioner was not as expected, so we decided to add the window unit to cool the home down.
There was hot water in the kitchen as the guest did not know how to operate the kitchen faucet.
The entire home was trashed as the home only sleeps 6 but the guest had 10 people in his group.
There were clothes every where as we had to help to straighten things out .
There was WiFi in the home but guest was not able to connect due to the type of device they were using.
We did all that we could to make sure that the guest had a pleasant stay.
There was nothing wrong with the toilet as the complaint was that the water was not filling up the tank quickly.
This home only sleeps 6 and there are two bathrooms.
Very clean, perfectly located apartment in DC. Check in was easy but there is an electronic lock on the front door that is a bit wonky. Luckily there was a key available to enter the front area. Everything was in good order. It is strange to enter a place through a bedroom but it works! We could not get either TV in the upper bedrooms to work and the hall light in the upper area would not turn off, but other than that all was great!
The sheets were clean, the shower water was hot, and the metro was an easy 5 minute walk away-what more could anyone ask for??
