About The Owner

We bought Trinity Hill because we love the hills and the wooded environment that it provides. We decided it would be a great place for us to go to to get away from the city and at the same time we have a chance to share it with others.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2005

Why The Owner chose Nashville

We know that a lot of people enjoy Brown County. It is well known for the Art Colony.

Wonderful Weekend with Adult Family

  • 5 of 5

My 87-year-old mom, three sisters, and brother (all adults) stayed two nights at Trinity Hill in July 2018 and loved it. Our previous "re-bonding" weekend had been at a hotel, but it was much homier and more comfortable being able to make use of an entire house. Also more economical being able to cook at "home." The kitchen didn't have a lot of counter space or an island, but was well-equipped with all the pots and pans we needed. (We had one cook in the kitchen and one on the grill, so no problem bumping into each other!) We managed to prepare two huge meals (one each night) while we were there. The dining room table was perfect for the six of us both for meals and for games. And the hot tub was divine to soak and chat in late at night with my sisters. The owners were very generous with towels (both for the bathrooms and the hot tub). We've been spoiled! Then there were the chats on the front porch each morning over coffee. The road is heavily traveled, but we didn't let a little road noise bother us. (You can't hear it from inside, tho.) Oh, and the house was perfectly accessible for my mom to get in and out of from the driveway and the patio. She chose not to tackle the hot tub, but did sit on the patio and chat with those of us who were in there. And she had no trouble getting around everywhere else in and around the house. This charming, but modern cabin has everything you can hope for. You're just minutes from shopping and dining in Nashville or visiting Brown County State Park. But you can also just stay here and watch the birds in the garden, play cards at the dining room table, or simply unwind. The owners were very responsive to emails and made everything run smoothly. The cabin was very clean and had everything we could want (and then some!) There's no wi-fi and cell phones didn't work, but sometimes you need an unplug weekend, right? There was a landline phone we could use for the few calls we needed to make to each other to make sure everyone knew where they were going. And I'm sure the owners would have been there if we'd had any problems at all, but we did just fine! We highly recommend Trinity Hill for anyone who wants to get away from it all! While we were all adults, it would also be perfect for a family with children!

Great place

  • 4 of 5

We stayed 3 nights. It was a cute place. No cell service, but that was a plus for us. You can't adjust to temperature in the house as the thermostat is locked. That is the only reason we were not 100 percent in love with it. 75 degree was not comfortable for our family.

Owner's Response: Thanks Shannon for your review and the kind words. I must say that your comment has made us realize we need to open up the thermostat for the summer. It is now set for people to adjust for the summer months. Thanks, Jim and Jan

Had a lovely time

  • 4 of 5

Oh, I wish we would have had more time this weekend to fully enjoy everything this cabin offers! It was a very comfortable cabin nestled in the hills with lots of privacy. The cabin is rustic, but clean and had space for all 5 of us. The kitchen was fully furnished. The dining/living area is open so there was plenty of space for socializing. We appreciated the satellite TV when we had some down time. Some of the things we didn't have time to enjoy include a small pond and paddle boat, group picnic pavilion with a roof, grill and several picnic tables, a closed-in porch with chaise lounges perfect for reading a book, and a lovely back patio with another grill, picnic table and lounge chairs.

The bedrooms were nicely furnished with comfy beds.

There is no cell signal at the cabin, which made it a little hard to communicate on a busy weekend, and made it hard to use our maps to figure out where we needed to go. Also, because they use geothermal to heat and cool the cabin (which is understandable!) the thermostat is locked, and it was a bit warmer than some of us preferred, but for the most part, it was comfortable.

I plan on going back when I have more time to just relax and enjoy the place. Thanks for a great stay!

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Great little place!! I found this on VRBO. It has a great amount of property with a 6 person hot tub, pond with a paddle boat, lots of picnic areas, 2 queen beds and a couch that probably folds out. Owners are very hands on and it is obvious that they take good care of the place. Very clean... Not one single bug!! 😁?

Only advice... If you stay for more than a couple of nights, you may want to bring another mattress cover, like memory foam or something... The mattresses were a tad uncomfortable. Also, the master has a skylight over the bed, so if you like to sleep in, might bring a sleeping mask.

Very close to town and lots to do. Go there!! 😁?
