Description

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Bozeman - The Bird House

Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

'The bird house' is a sweet little neighborhood cottage, in a great location! The house is VERY UNIQUE a NONTRADITIONAL setup, it is not for everyone. The house is located in the Cooper Park historical district, close to MSU, and downtown Bozeman is just a few blocks walk away.

If you are seeking a unique, artsy, cute and very cozy neighborhood cottage, this could be the place for you. The house is an adorable updated cottage with a private large backyard. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, with access to a dog friendly park just a 1/2 block away. There is a humble and nicely landscaped yard, flowers and fresh herbs in the summer. Making it nice to relax in the hammock or just read a book in the yard, under a canopy of mature trees.

The local Farmers/Art Market is just a few blocks away. Inside, you will find everything you will need, two bathrooms, hardwood floors funky and tasteful decor and furnishings. The kitchen is cute with all the basic necessities (stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee makers, juicer, dishes, etc. No Microwave) Pets are welcome with certain rules and deposits. There is a Washer and Dryer, Linens Provided, and Off Street Parking. As for beds there is Queen Bed, And A Double Bed.

*It is VERY important to note that both rooms have stairs/loft ladder in order to access them, and some may find it a challenge for small children or elderly. Like stated before it is a unique and nontraditional home.

The house has cable and Wi-Fi, and has a Pet Friendly backyard fenced and suitable for larger dogs. Well behaved dogs only accepted (Two max) Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested. Thanks, Stacie Smith

Rustic/Conveinently Located/ Totally Bozeman

  • 5 of 5

The "Bird House" was the perfect place for me to come and take my three kids for a weekend getaway with their dad. Now mind you the way this place is set up, older kids would have a better experience because the upstairs is like climbing into a tree house.....totally cool. There is s big back yard and there is way more space in the house then you would originally think. When you pull up to it in the car you think.....cool! but it looks kinda small......then you walk through then door and it is like walking through the door of the TARDIS in Dr. Who and you find yourself saying "It's bigger on the inside!" We had a great time, the owners are great, the location is perfect to get anywhere in the gallatin valley and Bozo area. I would say this.....if the "Bird House" is available again when we are traveling in smaller numbers like we did this time then we will definitely be back. So thanks a million Stacie we Loved It......wish we could have given it more then just 5 stars......it deserves a 10!

What a pleasure!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, my dog, and I took a baby moon vacation to Bozeman, MT for a weekend stay. We had a fantastic time staying at the Bird's Nest. The Bird's Nest was very clean and was decorated so well. It was kind of unusual... reminding us of our home in Joshua Tree, CA. The home has 2 bedrooms, one up a very steep ladder, and the other down a very steep flight of stairs. However, I was 7 months pregnant at the time of our trip and could manage both just fine. Just be careful and hold onto the railings!

The Bird's Nest is also located very close to the main street of Bozeman, which we found to be an excellent location. It is also a block away from an off-leash friendly dog park. The tree lined streets have ample sidewalks and it was nice to just walk our dog around the neighborhood. At the time of our stay, the leaves were changing colors, which just added more charm to the entire area.

Stacie was a perfect host. Giving us our privacy, but available by phone, e-mail, or messaging at any time. Stacie came by and provided us more firewood one evening, which was super nice and helpful. We used the backyard fire pit to make s'mores one evening. She also left us a hammock for relaxing in the large backyard. I really enjoyed both of those activities!

Overall, we highly recommend staying at the Bird's Nest when looking for a place in Bozeman, MT. Thanks Stacie for all your hospitality!

Sincerely, Brandi & Paul

Great historic house

  • 5 of 5

This is definitely a one of a kind home, historic and artsy, and in a great neighborhood close to downtown and to the college. We also enjoyed the backyard although we ended up with cold and rain so couldn't use it as much as we would have liked. As mentioned, it does have stairs and ladders, so you need to consider that, but all in all it was very comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. I also appreciated having the bike and lock to run to the grocery store for a few things.

Adorable house

  • 5 of 5

This place was great. So cozy and amazing. The bicycle was super helpful to get around. The ladder up to the loft was very stable (but steep) and the second bedroom is downstairs. A small microwave would be the only thing I'd add but we just reheated using frying pans or ate leftovers cold. The coffee was amazing! There was a small dishwasher to hook up but we just hand washed dishes easy enough. Stacie (the owner) was super nice and helpful.
