Drop down the lane to the vacation cabin on the river. You are out of the city and into the country in 60 seconds! Ducks, geese, birds are some of the wildlife you will see with a view from every window in the cabin. Drop in your fishing line, pick up that good book, and just relax...........
Back up the lane to restaurants, shopping, casino's, entertainment, and events in the Quad Cities that are happening daily. If you have a larger group we do have another rental right next door that you could go back and forth. That listing on VRBO is 559078 if you care to take a look at it.
Bring your boat/kayak and use the dock, or watch the Backwater Gamblers Ski Show just upstream every Wednesday and Sunday evening during the summer.
Winter is just as beautiful. See Eagles and deer right here along the river.

My husband and I have been married 30 years. We spent a lot of our free time with our two sons and their friends on the rivers in the summers (The Rock and the Mississippi):boating, camping, fishing, ice fishing - and in 1999 found a home on the river where we live today. We love it here on the river. It's the best!
Jeff and Rosanne Puck purchased this cabin in 2005
We have rented vacation rental cabins in Minnesota, Lake Okoboji in Iowa, and in Estes Park, Co. ourselves and have realized we have the best of everything right here and would like to share this we you!
Here you feel as if you are in the country, but right up the street are shopping, restaurants, theaters, museums, parks, 3 miles from the Mississippi Riverfront, casino's, and lots of live entertainment. Numerous events of the Quad Cities are DAILY! = NEVER A DULL MOMENT!! but without the drive!
A perfect place for our weekend. Beautiful river views, good fishing, and very clean. The pull out sofa bed is a little uncomfortable, but other than that an outstanding cabin!
Thanks so much!
The location is great. We enjoyed the dock and porch. The house has a smell to it though, and the water in the kitchen and shower has a horrible odor to it. If the water was fixed we would be more likely to return and recommend it.
We have stayed here two times in the past two years. Each time, we have found the home to be very clean and the owners very helpful. We were able to bring a pontoon boat and hook it up to the dock. The sun room over looking the river was a nice relaxing area to enjoy the view and watch family members waterski and play outside. While not truly "handicap accessible" as defined by federal guidelines, we were able to bring our 90+ year old mother who is able to get around with a walker. She was able to maneuver inside the house and enjoyed her time there. With the cabin next door also available, we were able to have 4 families together for our vacation gathering.
There are many areas of attraction nearby and several walking trails nearby with good eating places within walking distance. We took advantage of the river with kayaking and boating. Last year we even did a little fishing off the dock. The owner gave us much good advice about boating in the river which made it a very enjoyable and safe outing for our family.
This year we had a couple items that needed the owners attention and Roseanne very quickly addressed the problems with very little inconvenience to us. Unless we approached them, they left us alone to enjoy our family time. But they were very friendly in all of our interactions and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed.
We hope to be able to come back next year and enjoy another week in this place.
We three ladies enjoyed staying on Roseanne and Jeff's cabin on the river. We would like to rent it again next summer!
Great place. Clean and comfy. Well stocked with extras. Owners were close if we needed them but left us to ourselves which was nice. The view is so peaceful. A family of ducks swam by frequently. It was very quiet and serene in the mornings. Comfy beds with extra everything. Kids had a great time. The dock was a hit and a free water ski show right behind the house!
Thanks to Jeff and Roseann. Although I live in the Quad Cities, due to overflow of family visitors this past week, my daughters and spouses and one granddaughter stayed out on the Rock. Everyone had a great impression of the facilities provided. Plenty of personal space, screened in porch and coffee on the riverbank in the morning. The cottage was clean and well maintained.
10 minutes from Moline Quad City International Airport, Casino's, QCCA, IMAX, John Deere Pavilion, Augustana College, Palmer College of Chiropractic, Rock Island Arsenal, Black Hawk State Park, River Music Experience, I-Wireless Center, plus too many more events to list. We now have 'The Cottage', so if you and another family are wanting to vacation together, we have another vacation rental right next door to 'The Cabin'.
