Why Teresa McElroy chose Beverly

This is such a naturally beautiful area, the perfect retreat from hectic city life, somewhere to relax and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings, listen to the birds and the wind in the trees, gaze at the stars, view wildlife, watch the seasons change...there is beauty and solitude in every season here.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin/log home offers complete privacy and seclusion, a chance to get away from it all and enjoy nature, see the night sky and the stars, birdwatching, etc., yet is not too remote for enjoying off-site activities. The property features grassy and shaded yard areas, private walking trails, an outdoor fire pit, a small creek runs near the edge of the acreage, and there is a variety of terrain to enjoy, hills, flat areas, natural woodlands and open wildflower fields.

A super host and top notch hidden getaway

  • 5 of 5

Can't be beat if you like seclusion, nature, peace and quiet. It's all there for the taking.

The cabin is clean and comfortable, and Teresa has left no stone unturned when it

comes to supplying everything one could possibly need. Her attention to detail is remarkable.

As a couple of old timers walks through the woods were a bit much, but in my younger years I would have loved every step. Still we were up before the dawn and before we knew it we were watching the deer as the sunset. We will absolutely be requesting another visit.

A cabin to relax

  • 5 of 5

A great place to get away from the everyday grind and relax. Thersa has equipped the cabin with everything you will need. The hot tub is so relaxing. There are hiking trails and you can enjoy does with their fawns in the yard and fields at the cabin

Places to go are not far away Cass railroad, Rich Mountain Civil War battlefield, the small town of Beverly is full of Civil War history, and Gandy Dancers. We recommend this cabin.

Peaceful & Perfect for Dogs

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this house for the third time for a long weekend, and it was as perfect as we remembered it. It's very secluded, with short trails on the property and forest all around. We had several deer visiting us and of course lots of birds. The deck is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The new hot tub was a big highlight! The fenced yard was great for our dog. Inside, the house had everything we needed and was clean, and cozy. While there's no AC except for a window unit in the loft, the fans helped keep everything cool, so we didn't mind it. While secluded, the house is easy to get to, and there's so much hiking, cute small towns, and scenic driving close by. We love this place and will be back!

Quiet seclusion, extreme privacy, and nature lulls you.

  • 5 of 5

Easy to find, but harder to part from. This cabin nestled at a forests edge is a slice of wilderness history with a hint of modern convenience. Host were always there ONLY when or if you needed them.

The property was well cared for, inside and out. More for young adults and mildly older couples. Stairs might be trying for the extreme elderly or little children. Great honeymoon location. Cozy and comfortable. Although no air-conditioning in the main areas(upstairs loft has a window unit) I found the natural mountain are more in tune with the surroundings and adapted to a comfort level. Honeymooners "clothes optional" Phone reception inside the home is none existent. One must go outside on the deck to get a satellite. Radio and TV for the bored are available.

Main bathroom is on the lower level. Location is not totally handicapped accessible. Wild life (dear, rabbits, and other critters) make you feel like your in a Disney movie. This is a Great place to Vacation. We will try to stay here again.

Peace and Tranquility along with an amazing hot tub!

  • 5 of 5

Read the reviews... truthful and accurate! (Pictures are also spot-on!)

If you like seclusion, privacy and getting away from it all...this is the place to go!

You will not see listed in the reviews the words "close to it all" and that is exactly what we wanted. Our activities included 11-mile canoe ride using Blackwater Outdoor Adventures in Parsons, a great vista view from Bickle Knob Observation Tower outside Elkins, visiting all the antique/thrift stores we could find and finally a wonderful dinner (with a view) at The Forks Inn! All activities highly recommended.

One final thought....yes, this is a pet friendly property and no, I did not bring a pet.

However, I would have never guessed that this property had ever had a pet inside. Very, very clean!

Relaxing and Secluded

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for four nights at this cabin for our honeymoon and loved it! Peaceful, relaxing and secluded cabin surrounded by trees and hiking trails right behind the house!

The driveway leading up to the cabin is rough— if you drive a small car but worth it for the seclusion.

Very impressed with the maintenance and cleanliness of the home!

Our favorite things about this place were the big windows for natural lighting, hot tub, grill, and peacefulness! Highly recommended for a family stay, or romantic honeymoon/getaway! Definitely coming back and might bring friends!

Not tons to do in Beverly/Elkins, but plenty to get into at Blackwaterfalls and other surrounding areas!
