My husband and I are retired and love to travel. We rent our own home (which we're proud of) to travelers so they can enjoy it while we're gone. It is the back half of a 4 unit building that we own. It has its own private backyard. It is 2,500 square feet -- as large as a large house. The living room, dining room, eat-in kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and office that can be used as a 4th bedroom are on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms and 2 very large bathrooms. The master suite is private and has an ensuite bathroom. The bathrooms have double sinks, a stall shower and a full bathtub. The master bedroom and one other bedroom have balconies. Our apartment is in the back of the building. There are 3 story tall trees that form a huge hedge behind our back yard. This means that the bedrooms, balconies, back yard and downstairs rooms are very private as you can't see the building behind us because of the density of the foliage.
We've tried to include as much comfort as possible, such as nice cotton sheets, quilts, pillows and towels, lots of cooking equipment, high speed internet access and TVs with lots of channels. Everything is neat and clean.
This home is in the Beverlywood area just south of Beverly Hills. As mentioned earlier, it is an extremely spacious (2,500 square feet) 2 story, 3 bedroom, 3 bath townhome. It is fully furnished including sheets, blankets, towels, silverware, pots and pans, dishes, shampoo, soap, etc. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The third bedroom also has 2 single beds. There is also an office on the first floor that can be used as a 4th bedroom. This office has a couch that folds down into a double bed. There is a bathroom with a stall shower on the first floor, which give you a total of 3 bathrooms.
There is a large private back yard for your use with plenty of tables and chairs so that you can enjoy coffee or a meal outside.
There is parking for 3 cars at no extra charge. Weekly cleaning is also provided at no extra charge.
This property is less than an hour drive to Disneyland and Universal Studios. It's close to the beach, Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, Century City, etc. Rodeo Drive is within walking distance and so are very upscale restaurants such as Bouchon and Spago. But there are moderately priced restaurants as well. About a dozen Kosher restaurants are very close. There are also Italian, Chinese, Korean, Persian, Turkish, Middle Eastern, and Vegan restaurants. Just about every culinary tradition you can think of is represented here.
As mentioned, this home has a fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 supermarkets within walking distance as well as smaller grocery stores.
High speed WIFI is included as well as cable TV with HBO, Showtime, etc. There is a washer and dryer in this apartment.
We are now retired and long to travel. Allowing other travelers to stay in our home helps us to do this.
The Owner purchased this townhome in 1995
It's located in the best area of Los Angeles (in our opinion), just south of Beverly Hills. It has just about every amenity. Located between Universal Studios and Disneyland, we are convenient to all the sites in Los Angeles. The beach, Hollywood, downtown, and the airport are all 30 minutes away or less. Although this neighborhood has lovely tree-lined streets, there are 2 supermarkets in walking distance as well as several grocery stores. You can walk to a large variety of restaurants for every budget and taste. A 15 minute walk will take you to Spago, Bouchon and other elegant dining experiences. This immediate area has about a dozen Kosher restaurants, including the Milky Way which is run by Steven Spielberg's Mom. There are also Chinese, Thai, Deli, Korean, Persian, Indian, Turkish, Vegan, Italian, Japanese and Middle Eastern restaurants very close by.
The extra large master bedroom has a balcony and its own separate very large bathroom. Everything about this apartment is large -- the kitchen, the 2 dining areas, the bathrooms, the livingroom, etc. It's 2,500 sq. ft. total plus a private backyard. The weather here is the best in the area -- Los Angeles has micro climates. This is just about the best. Not as cloudy as it often is closer to the beach, but a lot cooler most of the year than the San Fernando Valley. There is very little smog in this part of town.
Joy and her husband were wonderful hosts. I made a very late arrival, and they were very accommodating and welcoming despite that inconvenience. Joy made every effort to help me in any way that she could and her husband went out of his way to make me feel welcome. The rooms are very comfortable with very good beds and comfortable linens. The baths are spacious and clean and have original retro features that I found charming: traditional LA as I knew it from my childhood. This was a very convenient location for me. It was quiet and restful..Best of all Joy and her husband are very, very nice people and I was delighted to have the opportunity to meet them.
This was the second time we stayed at this property. It was nice that the both the second and third bedrooms now have twin beds. Another enjoyable stay,

The kitchen was very well stocked with every appliance one could need.
The home has a beautiful patio and is conveniently located a short walk from many restaurants and grocery stores.
This listing was great for our family of 5 with one exception...two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. But there is no door between one of the bedrooms and the bath.
The hosts were very welcoming, gracious and helpful.
We stayed here for two weeks. The house was very clean, cozy and was more than enough to fit our family of six. It had everything we needed including new towels, kitchen supplies and even bathroom and shower products. The owners were there to welcome us upon our arrival, they showed us everything we needed to know about the house and its amenities, and we had snacks and fresh fruit waiting for us after our long trip. We were also welcomed to use all kitchen supplies including spices, dressings, coffee, teas, etc. The owners were extremely nice and generous, they made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay, and even searched for stores with us that sell outlet converters. The house is located in a nice, safe neighborhood that is close to Rodeo Drive and a lot of other stores and restaurants, Ralph's and local grocery stores were a short walk away. It truly felt like home, and we will surely be staying here again on our next trip to LA.
We didn't realize the people lived there just left when there were guests. Were told owners have apartment in back. Home away isn't concerned in what they rent out.The place smelled very musty , moldy bothered my grandsons allergies. Place does not have regular cleaning crew. Has a spot clean I guess by owner. Was not very clean clutter all around as expected if someone lives there. Refrigerated went out so groceries we purchased had to be thrown out more money. We bought cooler & ice. The owner reluctantly sent repair guy he said frig computer was probably resetting its self. So was afraid to use after that. Showers were not cleaned used soap in them. The only positive was it was big enough &asking the people were friendly & the husband seemed more interested in pleasing quests. But we refer to have clean place where after last quests rooms are disinfected, with clean kitchen & empty working frig.
Wonderful place for a family to stay. The home is in a wonderful community yet has easy access to the tourist locations in LA. We had a family of 8. We were in LA for a wedding and hosted our new in-laws one day and there were about 16 people at the home that afternoon. We never felt cramped.
The home was very clean and had all the things we needed for the week stay. The owners were great! They even picked up a few groceries for us before we arrived.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were very pleasant and helpful, and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, including providing lots of useful information about places to go/eat/shop in the neighborhood and the LA area.

The property is in a great location and is definitely an excellent value relative to booking hotel rooms for the whole family.
We are a short walk to the downtown Beverly Hills shopping district. We're also close to celebrity homes in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Fox Studios, Sony Studios, Paramount Studios, etc., etc. This neighborhood has many restaurants in every price range within walking distance. Directly on Pico Blvd. (1 block away) starts the largest kosher restaurant and grocery area in L.A. Steven Spielberg's mom's dairy restaurant 'The Milky Way' is about 6 blocks from here. And she's there a lot greeting people! There's also Sushiko - a kosher sushi place, believe it or not! About 3 blocks away is a vegan-kosher-Thai restaurant that's very good and inexpensive. If you stroll up Beverly Drive (1 block west of our place) you will find lots of little eateries and larger, more expensive ones as you continue on up to the heart of the Beverly Hills shopping district. Bouchon and Spagos are walking distance, for instance. The Urth café is one of my favorites. There are lots of supermarkets. There are buses on Pico Blvd. that will take you to the beach, downtown, Hollywood, etc. Disneyland is about 50 minutes away, Universal Studios are a 35 minute drive, the beach is 20 minutes away, Even though this area is very convenient and urban, it has a suburban feel with lots of residential housing with beautiful landscaping. It's also very safe here.
