Hi, we are Wladimir and Barbara. We have an apartment in the city centre of Amsterdam. We already received many guests that found a warm welcome at our place. As we live in the same building as this apartment is located, we are always stand by to provide our guests with handy tips or practical solutions.
Barbara purchased this apartment in 1975
We love to keep the space clean and well maintained. This is an ideal place if you're looking for a quiet place to stay in this lively Jordaan neighborhood.
Spacious and quiet apartment
Excellent apartment in a perfect location. Car park across the street, airport bus right next to it! Close to anne frank house, grocery, and restaurants. Try the noodle place around the corner! Yum!
Rent a bike, it's worth it!.
Hosts were very kind and even let me do a load of laundry. Would definitely recommend.
Amsterdam is a complex and varied place and accommodation for families can be very tricky to arrange as I and my wife found out, probably due to the stigma of staying in Amsterdam. I decided to write this review to provide an honest family man opinion of the accommodation, baring in mind i have two girls who love dancing !
The premises is primarily a Dance and Thai Chi studio with accommodation integrally designed into the building, however as a tenant you are kept completely separated and unaffected by the daily events of the premises.
The loft apartment we stayed in had resemblance to a dance studio with varnished plyboard floors; plenty of ventilation if required and small structural poles and original 300 year old timbers, creating a very unique Amsterdam apartment that anyone can feel comfortable in and one that my 8 year old daughter enjoyed extremely !
The owners are extremely friendly and helpful willing to accommodate any respectful tenant, and i would have no problem referring this apartment to any family wishing to enjoy a family break in southern Amsterdam, well away from the things that families do not want to see.
Location wise the premises is within 10-15 minutes of any Amsterdam attraction, extremely quiet in comparison to some places i have stayed, and no drunken stag doe's outside all night !
This place is a safe bet for any family staying in Amsterdam and perfectly placed.

We love this loft. It was a home away from home with lots of space, very peaceful and quiet considering its great location. The beds are comfy and new. The loft was spotless, quiet, well equipped with a luxurious bathroom.
Shopping for groceries and laundry services are within 3 blocks....a 10 minute walk at most.
Barb was so accommodating and friendly. We will stay here again and recommend it to our friends.
There are 2 flights of stairs to the loft which is located in a Dance Studio; however they are wide, well lit and not too narrow and easy to navigate with sturdy railings on either side.
We stayed at this amazing apartment for 2 days at the end of a 3 week vacation. It was one of the best we stayed in! Beds were large and comfortable! My 10 year old loved the large tub and we all loved the amazing shower. The kitchen had basics like coffee, tea, & peanut butter. There was a fan but no AC, and windows only opened on 1 side so it got a bit warm, but not awful. The location was perfect- tram stop across the street, airport shuttle nearby, on a canal in the Jordaan. We loved this place and will recommend it to anyone going to Amsterdam. The owners were great to communicate with and let us check in early! Great place & location!
The property was even better than we expected, clean, comfortable, easy access from the airport by bus, centrally located with good restaurants within walking distance, wifi. We were there with our two teenage granddaughters. We each had a bedroom and shared one large bathroom. The efficient kitchen allowed us to buy a few groceries and eat breakfast before starting off sight-seeing for the day and to have snacks when we returned. Everything was handled in an orderly and very friendly manner. All my emails to the owners were answered promptly and with useful information. The location allowed us to explore the city on foot. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. We hope to return someday soon. Joyce, Torrance, California
Our family of four stayed here for three nights and found the location great for us and was as described in the listing. Barb was prompt with her reply's to any questions I had previous to our arrival, check-in was easy. The beds were comfy, lots of room in the living space to relax after hours of sight-seeing. The washroom was a good size and newly renovated. The only down-side to this apartment was the smell in the washroom probably from the old sewer system?! maybe a candle would do the trick, and the narrow, long staircase coming up to the apartment if you have trouble with stairs, would be hard to navigate with large suitcases. Lots of restaurants and shops close by we especially liked the De Negen Straatjes (9 streets), Pluk was a favorite for it's charm, healthy menu and good coffee.
We offer a quiet en clean apartment in the lively neighbourhood of the Jordaan Area (City Centre). Shops, restaurants and cafés are around the corner.
As we are in the city centre most museums and other sights are within walking distance from our place. Bike rental is just on the other side of the canal.
Originally a working-class neighbourhood, the Jordaan has become one of the most expensive, upscale locations in the Netherlands. It is home to many art galleries, particularly for modern art, and is also dotted with speciality shops and restaurants. Markets are held regularly at Noordermarkt, the Westerstraat (the Lapjesmarkt textile market) and Lindengracht.
