Fabulous house with everything in it you could want. It it kept extremely well.
We really enjoyed staying here. Lahinch is a beautiful place and this house has everything you could wish for in a beautiful setting of well landscaped gardens and views of the sea. All normal consumables that you could need were provided. Quality of beds, linen, towels, showers, kitchen utensils, kitchen supplies etc were all top class. The owners are very responsive to any issues that may arise. Everything was clean, tidy and very well maintained. As it is in a lovely location a few km outside Lahinch, you do.need a car for all travel even into Lahinch

Lovely home and wonderful stay
We were very excited upon arrival to see this lovely house, amazing views, quiet secluded location and beautiful yard. Inside was well decorated, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed meals around the large kitchen table, cooking in the spacious kitchen and sleeping in comfortable beds with amazing ocean and farm field views. Lahinch is a great little seaside town perfectly situated near some of the most spectacular sites in Ireland. Being just a bit outside of the city was perfect for spending some time with friends, but close enough to enjoy sightseeing, shopping and a fun meal at O'Looney's. Plenty of room for eight!

Pretty countryside views but convenient to Lahinch
We enjoyed our second stay at Soheen very much. As usual, the weather was ever changing and provided lots of dramatic scenes outside, which were best viewed from the comfort of the big kitchen. It was nice to have the hedges trimmed compared to how they were for our first visit, which improved the view from the kitchen. In addition to the kitchen, there are several different seating areas downstairs and upstairs, which is a key reason we like the house so well. The internet was definitely improved and the owner immediately dealt with one issue we had with the hot water. A very well laid out house, so quite functional but also very comfortable and cozy.

About the host

Hosted by Joan and Brian

Joan and Brian live in Oakville in Canada and have 3 wonderful children with our youngest in University! Brian grew up 20 miles/ 30 kms from Soheen and visited Lahinch every Sunday as a child and vacationed there every summer. Lahinch is a very special place for us and just thinking of there reduces our stress! Soheen is a house that we never can stay there too long and we get so excited every time we stay there! We built this house with the best of materials and appliances. It is the house we intend to retire in.

Why they chose this property

Soheen (or in Gaelic is Súichín) is a very special place for us and it lives up to its name which means 'a place of rest'. The review are spectacular and we just love spending time there when we can! We built this house with the greatest care and attention to maximize comfort and be a restful house in keeping with the surrounding natural area.

What makes this property unique

We, like our guests, that visit our home just love the atmosphere in the house - the wonderful finish which makes it most comfortable. Large open kitchen with wood floor and a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views of the countryside. The living room with natural stone fireplace which is just a perfect place to read a book and take it easy. The master bedroom with its en-suite and has a fireplace to give it that real Irish feel. The large gallery area on the 2nd floor which has a desk to sit and read and do yoga or stretching exercises! The main bedroom upstairs which has wonderful views and the feel that you are in another world and of course the children's room which has 2 bunk beds (3 singles and a double)! A place of rest and rejuvenation !
