Comfortable respite from the city
This charming cabin is in a new growth forest and within walking distance of the muggoon Creek wilderness area, which offers uncrowded, sandy beaches on lake Michigan, bluffs overlooking the beaches, and a beautiful forest with conifers and aspen trees. The kitchen has cookware, a fridge, and electric stove, but you can also get good food and drink with a short drive up red apple and maple into Manistee, which boasts more great beaches, public parks, and 19th century buildings. We had good food at blue fish and north Channel brewing company. You can have beers and roast marshmallows around the fire pit in the side yard. My three and one yos loved the sandbox.
great place and so close to Lake. MI. and they let us bring our dog.
Quiet and Secluded! Loved our time there!
My husband and I brought our dog and stayed from Aug. 4-11. Cabin was stocked with anything you might need. We liked the seclusion and quiet! Close to town (12 minute drive to downtown). We really enjoyed the restaurants we tried there (dinner: TJ's, North Channel Brewing, Bungalow, Painted Lady Saloon; breakfast: Restaurant at Pier 31 and House of Flavors). If you don't mind driving, try Doc's and Ludington Bay Brewing. We also liked all of the beaches, but our favorites were Sundling and Magoon Creek. Great for beach glass and Petoskey stones! We took our dog to Manmade Lake for a change from the beach. Take the time to see the Overlook in Arcadia and the beaches in Ludington as well. The Vogue Theatre is a must if the weather is less than appealing outside. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back to Lake Michigan! Thank you!
The cabin was well furnished, very private, and met our expectations.
Great place for a family vacation!
My family of 5 had a great time staying at this cabin, it was absolutely perfect! The cabin has games, books and toys for the kids to play with as well as outdoor activities. We loved having fires in the fire pit and spending time taking in the beautiful forest. Very easy to get to downtown Manistee, grocery stores and other attractions. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!
Beautiful well maintained clean cabin. Thank you Dave and family.
Our family spent a week in this perfectly located cabin in Manistee. Walking distance to Lake Michigan. Sandy beach area perfect for swimming. We walked down at night to watch the sunset. Just loved the area. Driving to local shops about 10 minutes. Cute and quaint. We would definitely come back and stay.
