Notes:
One of the distinctions for the parish of Sandys is the easy access to the public transportation and the proximity to Naval Dockyard. The Dockyard was established by the British in the 1820’s to provide a re-provisioning base for the navy. The extraordinary buildings have been refurbished and converted into museums, shops and cafes on a promontory that has a commanding view of the entire island. A visit to Bermuda would not be complete without seeing and experiencing Dockyard.

Home and owner exude Bermuda charm. A property with elegance of bygone days and modern amenities!

  • 5 of 5

This home was by far the best run property rental we have ever enjoyed. Cheryl-Ann provides a home away from home in an elegant setting. She has put much thought and effort in providing a welcoming place like the stocked kitchen with special treats and pretty much everything you need to make your stay exceptional.

The house has such an interesting history and everywhere you look is something that attracts your attention. To mention a few...the high ceilings with skylights and a chandelier in the dining room, the piano in the living room, artwork by one of the former owners, and the 4 bathrooms!

Once you discover the pool area with the barbecue patio, you may decide that is where you will spend your entire stay. We did for a couple of days but the ease of catching a bus to get around the island kept us busy discovering the beauty of Bermuda.

The house's location near the Dockyards provides access to the ferry to Hamilton for shopping and dining. The village of Somerset is within walking distance of the house and also provides views of the water.

Don't miss stopping at Woody's on the way to or back from the Dockyards. The fish is fresh each day and is one of the more reasonably priced places to eat. Also you can get delicious pizza delivered from Four Star Pizza and you must order at least a couple of their homemade desserts....delicious! The kitchen is very small but has everything you need and more...how many rentals have you stayed that has a extra large ice maker and fresh drinking water in a crock!

When you get home from your stay, you are going to miss drinking coffee on the veranda in the early morning enjoying the view and returning to your chair in the evening to watch the sunset, floating in your private pool surrounded by a luscious garden, watching the turtles in the pond, listening to the Kiskadee birds and night frogs, and settling into a comfortably air conditioned bedroom for a restful nights sleep. Luckily the long ride to the airport provides memorable views of Bermuda and opportunity to plan your return visit.

Great Accommodations and Very Thoughtful Hostess

  • 5 of 5

This was a perfect home to rent for our family vacation with 5 young adult children. We loved the porch, the pool, the air conditioned bedrooms, luxurious down comforters, and well stocked kitchen. The home owner, Cheryl Ann surprised us through the week with a few little extras that were very thoughtful and much appreciated. Using the bus system we were able to explore much of the beautiful Bermuda Island. We loved our stay at Camden Inn!

A beautiful property and gracious host

  • 5 of 5

Our one-week stay at the Camden Inn could not have been better. We arrived to find not just a wonderful home but a property that was more like a park. Our host, Cheryl-Ann, provided much more food than expected. She treated us like family and was extremely responsive to our requests for more towels, water, etc. The pool is beautiful and a great place to start and end the day in Bermuda. Bus stops are very convenient and the walking trail is a short walk from the home. We can't wait to return to the Camden Inn!

Lovely home and special vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Bermuda. We met our adult children at the airport. Our driver,Arthur, was there and waited for us at the grocery store while we bought groceries. The house is beautiful. Cheryl Ann stocks the kitchen with more than essentials. The pool was nice to have. We enjoyed the space and comfort of the home. The bus stop is very close and you can get to the ferries easily. If you want to stay in an authentic Bermudian house this is it. Lots of outside space and a view of the water. I'm ready to go back already!

Outstanding accommodation and facilities

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Camden Inn for a week in August 2015 as we were visiting Bermuda from the UK for the wedding of my eldest son. We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Cheryl-Ann was not there for our arrival but her lovely daughter looked after us in her absence. Camden Inn is a beautiful property with exquisite furnishings and many personal possessions in place, which makes it feel so much more like a home than a holiday property. We loved every aspect of it and were thrilled with the beautifully stocked fridge on our arrival. The grounds and swimming pool were greatly appreciated and we certainly made good use of them. We were able to host a barbecue by the pool for some of the wedding guests and Cheryl-Ann made everyone feel so welcome – it was as if we were inviting them to our own home!

None of us wanted to leave and the happy occasion of my son’s wedding was definitely enhanced by staying in such beautiful surroundings and being made to feel so special and welcome. Thank you Cheryl-Ann and all your staff/helpers who looked after us beautifully. Nothing was too much trouble. If ever we come back to Bermuda, we certainly know where we will stay!
