Beautiful views, lovely in every detail

This is a wonderful property in South Hero, ideal for two families or a girls weekend away. Amazing view of Lake Champlain, gorgeous sunrise from the deck, sunset every night at the end of the road. The owner is incredibly responsive, kind, answered all of our questions and made sure we had a comfortable stay. Lighthouse Estates lives up to its name! The property is decorated with a tasteful nautical theme with many of its items from HomeGoods-and since I work for the parent company, I was impressed! Wonderful decorating details and touches, incredibly clean! Bedrooms and living quarters were comfortable and cozy, with throws and chairs, felt more home than rental. Bathrooms well supplied with nice towels, soaps and hair products. Kitchens had snacks, wine and a gift card for the local gem of a restaurant, the Blue Canoe. Beach chairs and towels, grills on the deck. Space for a large family meal (we were 2+ families). Yet each evening, we could close the spaces and have privacy (house is set up to allow to separate living quarters). Nice cocktails in the Adirondack chairs on the deck each evening, lovely property surrounded by farmland. A lot to do in the area, nice and quiet on the island yet access to much. Ferry to NY and Ausible Chasm, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming at various beaches, bike riding in Burlington. Don't forget to research swimming holes, one of our best times! Highly recommend, if we decide to go back to the Lake Champlain Islands again, would definitely call on this property.

Girls weekend getaway

What a fantastic setting for a girls getaway weekend. The house was huge, clean, had incredible views, and came with everything we needed. The owner is so accommodating and really made us feel welcome. This was a great jumping off point for downtown Burlington and the Ben & Jerry's factory, but we really didn't need to go anywhere because the property itself was so great. Highly recommend!
