This quaint, fresh and beautifully furnished Cottage is located in the family-friendly, pristine neighborhood of Old Florida Village, is an easy walk to the sandy-white beaches of the Emerald Coast and is just steps to two new relaxing community pools, each with their own bathrooms. This neighborhood has it all . . beautifully designed cottage-style homes, lush landscape, green areas for children and paver driveways. We guarantee you won't be disappointed.

The location of Old Florida Village, on the popular and scenic beach-front road Hwy 30-A is ideal! The picturesque and charming villages of nearby Grayton Beach, WaterColor and Seaside offer great restaurants and shopping and Destin is just a few miles down the road. It is approximately 50 minutes from Fort Walton Beach Airport. This well-maintained and appointed cottage features three bedrooms and two and a half baths. It sleeps 6 comfortably in one King, one Queen and one Full lower bunk bed, 8 (if children use the upper bunk and trundle).

Slice of Paradise is a newer cottage-style home that is located in a safe area where you and your family can enjoy endless summer time activities. There are eighteen miles of bike paths accessible at the entrance of the neighborhood and Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is just down the street. The beach access across the street is complete with bathrooms, shower, covered picnic area, bike rack and parking.

Slice of Paradise is one of the largest three bedroom models in square footage in the village. This Non-Smoking home is beautifully decorated in an Island motif with an emphasis on quality and comfort. This fun, cozy get-away boasts three spacious bedrooms and two and one half baths. The house was purposely designed and decorated with two things in mind - comfort and enjoyment. To that end, you will find porcelain tile floors on the first level with carpeted bedrooms on the second level. Porches on both levels - front, rear and side with rockers and Adirondack chairs - are great for catching the sea breezes, reading, barbequing or simply enjoying each others company. The kitchen is outfitted for the gourmet cook and finished with stainless steel appliances, Corian counter tops and breakfast bar with stools. In addition, there are four flat screen TVs and two DVD players to provide entertainment options for the off-beach time of your vacation. Cable TV and wireless internet access is provided.

The community pool is just a few houses away and the pristine white sandy beaches of the gulf coast are an easy walk or short bike ride of less than .6 mile. There are a multitude of great restaurants in the area, some within walking distance and 'Silver Sands', a very large factory outlet mall is a 15 minute drive. Outside summer concerts, local art displays and trendy shops and eateries are just a short walk to 'Gulf Place' or short drive to 'Seaside'. These offerings along with golf at nearby 'Santa Rosa Golf Club' boasting two holes overlooking the emerald green gulf, and the 18 miles of biking/running/walking trail, are just a few of the entertainment options.

REFUND/SEVERE WEATHER POLICY:

Refunds will not be given for late arrivals or early departures. If hurricanes or other extreme weather conditions occur the County Emergency Management Offices of Northwest Florida in conjunction with the National Weather Service may issue a mandatory evacuation notice. Only at that time, will refunds be pro-rated from the time of your departure. If no evacuation notice is issued by either of these government agencies and you choose to leave before the end of your reservation or to cancel because of the potential threatening weather, neither refund nor compensation will be made.

We are Southerners who love going to the beach to take a deep breath inhaling the majesty of the beach with the mighty waves crashing in and yet the gentleness of the water once it comes ashore to lap against the sand.

We have three generations of family who count the days until we can return to the beach.

Why Richard Green chose South Walton

We had vacationed at the beach for a number of years and always yearned for our own home. Slice of Paradise spoke to our hearts because it is only a short walk to the beach. This home is located in a village where the architecture and landscape compliment each home. The two community swimming pools are a great asset while Dad grills dinner or for a swim just before bedtime. The open floor plan draws the family together whether it is for a meal, to play a game or just visit.

What makes this cottage unique

The porches galore with rocking chairs for those early morning cofee visits hooked us on this home. The rush of our daily lives doesn't allow us to talk with the people we love most as much as we would like. The conversations never seem to slow down and the laughter is abundant when we are together at the beach.

Beautiful Beach Home. Wonderful Location.

Slice of Paradise location is stellar! We have stayed numerous years in the wonderful community of Old Florida Village and are always quick to return. The beach access is an easy walk or a very quick bike ride. We brought bikes, paddle boards and kayaks and enjoyed them all! The white sands and emerald waters can not be beat--a 5 foot Marlin breached the water 3 times while we were kayaking! Hooked a 5 foot tarpon for 30 seconds while kayak fishing! Red Bar (our favorite dinner destination) is a short drive away in Grayton Beach. We have stayed at many homes in the 30-A area and this beach home fit our needs perfectly. This Birmingham family would not hesitate to book this home again. And again...

Home away from home

My husband and I along with four tweens and teens spent our vacation over the fourth of July at Slice of Paradise. It. Was. WONDERFUL. The home is beautiful- inside and out. It was so nice not to have to bring beach chairs and umbrellas- there were enough for all six of us! (And there were more that we didn't use.) There were floats for the beach and pool, along with a cooler and tons of beach toys! The kitchen was equipped with everything we could've needed, too! We loved the layout and openness of the downstairs so everyone could hang out together. The bedrooms were spacious and super comfortable. We rented a golf cart and had it delivered for the week and it was extremely easy to get around in the area and also plug up and charge at night. Margaret was super easy to work and communicate with, answering all the questions I had before we arrived. We will definitely be back!

It IS a "Slice of Paradise"

My husband and I celebrated our 38th Anniversary at this property. The condo is very warm and inviting with all the comforts of home. It is immaculate and very well maintained, the kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to prepare meals. While not directly on the beach, access is just steps away, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. This was our first visit to the Emerald Coast and it will not be the last. I highly recommend this home for your stay, the owner has prepared a book complete with menus and recommendations to make your stay a wonderful memory, great customer service. We will be back!

Great property!

Very nice home with a spacious layout. Quiet neighborhood with two pools in close proximity. Well furnished with comfortable seating and beds - and every appointment you could require in the kitchen.

Lots of chairs and beach toys available for use by the kids - as well as a grill. Two beach access points within .5 mile - and lots of restaurants and shops close by.

Wonderful Family Getaway

Our family has spent nearly 30 years vacationing in the South Walton / Sandestin area and we were looking for something less commercial and crowded in a quiet neighborhood. Slice of Paradise was a perfect match. It is located in a quiet community with one way in and one way out so traffic was non existent and children played and rode bikes throughout the neighborhood. We had 7 total in our party and had plenty of space. The kitchen allowed us to prepare meals when we wanted to avoid some of the busy restaurants. The swimming pools were within walking distance and the beach was a 2 minute drive with ample parking to unload all our beach gear. The storage shed was stocked with beach floats, a beach cart, umbrellas for shade, chairs and sand castle making supplies. The home was impeccably clean and the A/C kept it cool even in the late July heat. I would recommend bringing some beach towels as there are plenty of bath towels but no beach towels. There is a shower outside the front of the house to remove beach sand so you don't track it into the house. A great family getaway--close enough to Destin and Panama City Beach if you want to explore either. Quiet enough to have plenty of family time and a break from the traffic of South Walton. Highly recommend.

Great house for our family vacation

'Slice of Paradise" was such a great house! We loved the location and really appreciated the fun list of attractions the owners provided. Also, all the things in the shed (floaties, chairs, sand toys) were so convenient! This is a great place for a family vacation. Can't wait to plan another trip!!

Baytown Wharf toward Destin and The Pier at Panama City offer children activities, restaurants, shops and music. Harbor Walk in Destin near A.J.'s Restaurant offers a large zip line, trampolines next to the water, mining for fossils and shells and many other activities for the whole family.
