Spent a wonderful week at the Waring residence! The property is well situated, tastefully remodelled, well maintained, loaded with amenities, and very clean.
This property boasts a great location! Situated one block from Melrose Ave., you are steps away from a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. We enjoyed falafels at Ta-eem, Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles at Bulan Thai Vegetarian Kitchen, and hot dogs at Pinks (corner of Melrose & N. La Brea). Independent boutiques, funky vintage clothing stores, a few chain stores, and sneaker shops line Melrose Ave. between Fairfax and La Brea. Live like a local and check out the excellent flea market at Fairfax High School on Sunday. Ralph's and Target are a short drive away for groceries. Hollywood Blvd., Griffiths Observatory, Korea Town, Santa Monica and LAX are an easy drive away. We walked to Hollywood Blvd. in roughly 35 minutes. Stick to the main roads and stay off the highway to avoid commuter frustration.
We felt like locals at this property. The kitchen has a nice gas range for cooking; the bathrooms, while a bit small, are well designed and include rainfall shower heads; the mattresses in the bedrooms are very comfortable and are topped with duvet covers; the 3 wall mounted TVs are top of the line; built in speakers set the tone for a nice evening at home after a busy day. An excellent washer and dryer is located in the garage. The outdoor patio is the jewel of this property! We cooked several meals on the gas BBQ, ate outside, and relaxed by the fire pit most nights. Off street parking is a plus, as the street fills up at night with restaurant patrons. We felt very safe and comfortable in this residential neighbourhood.
Note that the pictures posted of this property are slightly, but not materially different vs. real life. An outdoor table has been added to the patio, and the living room now sports a very comfortable corner sectional sofa. The outdoor sofa is a bit weathered, but that is easily overlooked given the pleasure provided by the outdoor space.
The home is very clean, comfortable and well-maintained. We truly felt like locals for a week. David, the owner, was very easy to deal with. We are looking forward to staying here again the next time we are in LA.
Nice house in a very nice neighborhood , excellent location toward all touristics areas , very quiet , you don't feel in the heart of Weho. , don't miss the Farmer Markets ! David was very responsive to all our questions !
This is a great house with everything you would need for your home away from home. We just spent 8 nights there and were very happy. David has included all the amenities of home, including hangers, ironing board and iron and kitchen supplies. The house is centrally located and close to many shops and restaurants. We even ended up walking to dinner most nights. David was very responsive and easy to deal with. My husband and I can't wait to come back.
Our family of four absolutely loved the property ! It had all the comforts of home plus much more. It is centrally located and we were only a short drive from all of the major attractions. Melrose avenue is just a street away with loads of bars and restaurants

My wife and daughter stayed for six days and had a great time. After full days of being out and about, it was really comforting to be able to come back to such a well kept home. We loved have access to a great kitchen as well as the front porch with the fire pit and being able to eat outside was a real plus. David, the owner, was attentive and did a great job of making sure we got in and out with ease. This is a great place to stay when your visiting LA.
