This adorable Gulf Coast Cottage, originally built in 1904, has been updated to provide all of today's modern comforts and conveniences. It's equipped with central air conditioning, High Speed Internet Wi-Fi, a 46'' HD flat screen TV with cable access, a DVD Player.

The home's original wood walls and 10 ft ceilings are present throughout. In the living room there is queen size sofa sleeper. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, 2 bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs. The upstairs is the main part of the home with a large brand new kitchen. All 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. The main room downstairs has 3 twin beds. There is a roll-away bed that can be used.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare all your meals. For your convenience, all cooking utensils, dishes, a full sized refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, and most importantly- a blender, are provided.Larger pots can be supplied.

Everything you might need in the house is supplied except your personal items. Including all linens and towels.

The property is fully fenced in and offers an automatic garage door. Parking can be in the driveway,garage and on the street in front of the home. The backyard has a large wood deck upstairs off the kitchen and a deck downstairs off of the game room area. There are also 2 decks on the front of the home. Enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon beverages sitting out on one of the 4 decks, enjoying the cool gulf breezes.

There is a charcoal grill in the back yard. Please do bring your charcoal and lighter fluid of choice.

To reserve the home the refundable deposit is required of $125. The final payment is due two weeks prior to arrival.

Check in is 4pm and check out is 11am, but PLEASE ask. You may can come in earlier and leave later!

Your SMALL pets are always welcome. But always ask about the big pets.

Winter Texans are Most Welcome!

You must be at least 25 years old to rent this home.

Out of consideration for our neighbors, we cannot permit prom, spring break or graduation parties.

During Hurricane Season, refunds are only granted if there is a hurricane of a category 1 or higher in the Gulf of Mexico headed to Galveston.

We do not take checks or cashiers checks.We do not advertise on Craigslist or Tansler!

We moved to Galveston from the DFW area in 2005. Started buying and remodeling homes for vacation rentals in 2007. We fell in love with Galveston and all the people on the Island. We have very much enjoyed sharing our homes with guests coming for a visit to Galveston.

The home is in a perfect location. Central to everything on the Island. It is a short walk to the beaches, and about 1/2 mile to the new Pleasure Pier.

Great location, sweet old house and very accommodating owners.

We rent a house every Christmas in Galveston. This is the first house we rented that the owners decorated it with a Christmas tree and decorations in every room. We had a small problem on Christmas Eve where we had to call the owner for help. He was very responsive and the problem was resolved in 20 minutes.

great for family vacation.

Very warm place, it's great for family vacation. It's big enough for 2 families to stay. Kitchen has all the supplies you need.

If there is hand soap upstairs, extra rolls of bath tissue, and air fresher inside the house will be even better.

Bring your rubber gloves.

I wish I could post pics with this review. My guest and myself was not happy with the condition of the house. The closets were not available for us to hang are clothes. The sofa in the living room was filthy. It was very apparent that it had not been cleaned. We were looking for the pull out sofa bed and instead we found dirt, grime and debris under the cushions. The bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty floor. The fan chains are greasy and dirty. Many of the pots and pans were rusted. The ones that weren't rusted were not clean. While preparing to cook breakfast, roaches crawled across the counters. The chairs on the decks had to be cleaned before we could use them. The ashtrays on the dirty table outside were broken and dirty. The back yard is dirt, NO Grass. The photos for this listing do not give an honest view of this property. I had the same issues as the review dated 7/17/17. The owner states things were addressed, when they have not been. To imply that someone used to much toilet paper as a response to lack of it. Is simply just rude!

Owner's Response: Hello Dionne, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at our home. I'm afraid your review is way out of line. The floors are swept and mopped after each guest stay. As far as toilet paper goes, the housekeepers leave 4 extra rolls out for each guest stay. So for 10 people staying for 2 nights that should be more than plenty. After that, if someone is ill and using more, then the guest will need to supply more. Especially at 10pm. And I believe that is why you wrote this false review. As for the pots and pans, since I just got this review the other day, I went over to the house. Yes, there was 1 cookie sheet that had some rust on it and 1 skillet that had been used, burned and put away without cleaning. Both have been replaced. As for the back deck, in Nov we had a lot of rain. So even though the housekeepers had wiped the plastic chairs off on the deck, with the rain and being under a large tree makes for a messy deck sometimes with the leaves falling. We power wash the decks off once a year, maybe we need to do that more than that. We don't really want to cut the large tree down as it is old and is nice shade. But it also makes it hard to grow grass. So I think we will have to do something else to the backyard to keep it from being mud after rain. There is some grass but not the whole yard. Again, I am sorry you felt to write a review of this nature. But in reading all the former reviews future guests will see that the home is clean and comfortable. Wonderful house and excellent owners

We used dolphins run as a temporary rental while we were relocating to Galveston. Owners were great and did anything they could to help us out. House was beautiful and didn't have any problems with neighbors/neighborhood.

Very spacious, close to the beach, and restaurants. A great location for large groups!

We did enjoy our time at Dolphin's Run. Having a garage was a bonus that very few rentals offer. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. We prepared all of our meals there except one, and we wanted for nothing. The house was large enough to be able to get away for quiet space from the rest of the group if you needed it. The air conditioning worked wonderfully as it was VERY hot & humid outdoors while we were in Galveston. The only negatives were these: No hand soap---liquid or bar soap---were provided for any of the bathroom sinks nor the kitchen sink. We had to purchase soap to wash our hands in the bathrooms. There wasn't dish soap provided for the kitchen sink. We were almost out of toilet paper by the second evening of our stay. We could not find extra rolls in the house. The owner happened to contact me that evening to ask if he could come by the next day to get something out of the garage. Of course I said yes, & I asked about more toilet paper. He said he was going to set some out. That did not happen, & we had to purchase toilet paper. I think a basic item such as that should be provided in enough quantity to suffice an entire stay. Finally, part of the fees for the home include a $100 cleaning fee. That's fine--usually. However once we arrived at the house, we found check out instructions in addition to those provided on line. We were instructed to sweep and vacuum all of the floors, and mopping would be great. I stay in vacation rentals 4-5 times a year. I have never been asked to sweep, vacuum, and mop floors--especially in a home this large. I felt it was an unreasonable request.

Please know overall we were happy with our time at Dolphin's Run. The location & space of the home were amazing for the price per night. I like to provided a well rounded view of the stay.

Owner's Response: Good morning... Thank you for your review. I'm always glad to get them. The departure instructions in the book did need to be updated, thank you for letting me know. This has been done. Our cleaning staff forgot to put dish and hand soap out, I have reminded them of this small procedure. And as far as toilet paper, 2 large spare rolls were left out along with what was on the spool. I am sorry if someone in your party was ill and needed so much. I supply only so much and then the guest is required to supply extra if needed. Thanks again for staying with us!
