Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Moved to the states in 1993. Found this Caribbean jewel a couple of years ago. Visit the island occasionally, but want to share it with you during the time I'm not there. Currently living in sunny Arizona. This little corner of Old San Juan is amazing! But don't take it from me; go see it yourself and experience the true Old San Juan lifestyle...

Close to everything in the Old City. Perfect place for the busy business person who needs a comfortable place to live while on an extended stay in the area, without the added expenses of long term hotel rentals. Or individuals interested in establishing the 'base camp' for a longer stay in the island, allowing the flexibility of having a place to call home, as well as the ability to plan sightseeing trips to other parts of the island.
Edificio gámbaro, an old colonial renovated warehouse building, is located in the corner of Calle Tetuán and the Callejon Gámbaro, in the heart of Old San Juan. Callejón is the Spanish name for a small street. Actually the callejón is a pedestrian-only way, adding to the privacy and the charm of the facility. The 540 square foot unit is located on the third floor. The lobby of the building is a nice, open area. Once you get into your new home, you will not need your car unless you plan to go out of the historic area. Right in the heart of SOFO, San Juan's culinary district. Walk to your favorite bar, restaurant, plaza, cafe, bookstore or historic site. Walk to the port and take one of the ferries. Jog down 'La Princesa', a promenade/trail right at the base of the historic walls surrounding the city. Fly a kite at 'El Morro's' front field, the 16th century citadel depicted in so many of the island's pictures. All this without having to jump in your car! Active night life in the old city during the weekends. Festivals and street celebrations very common. A place where people still gather around at the 'plaza' just to hang out. Extremely friendly atmosphere, with superb restaurants offering all types of cuisine.
Walk to the San Juan bay, take a ferry to Cataño, home of the makers of Bacardi, and take a tour of the facilities. Many local cafes and restaurants, offering a great variety of local and international cuisine.
