Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five adults stayed in this super cozy rental over the holiday and loved it! We booked based on other reviews and were not disappointed...it is as described and exceeded our expectations. The home was so welcoming that it felt as if the owner's family just went out for a walk. Everything in the house was well-organized and thought out so that we lacked for nothing. Plenty of towels, blankets, cookware, spices, etc. The views are outstanding...just an awesome, peaceful setting that allows for respite and relaxation which provided us with a homey Christmas away from home.

Cozy winter space

  • 5 of 5

An unusually early snowstorm prompted us to phone ahead to make sure the property was to be plowed throughout and would be accessible. We found this home to be perfect for the two couples and 20-something, who stayed in his own space in the lower level. Very private. 2nd bath. The beds were most comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for serious cooks. We appreciated the upstairs woodstove but quickly decided not to use the ll wood stove as it did not draw well. The venting is tough. I can't fail to mention the wonderful view and the easy walking access to River Road.

Comfort and convenience with beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

Perfect VT getaway. Beautiful, well stocked, well-maintained home with gorgeous views and all the comforts. The early October weather wasn't cool enough to need the wood stoves, but the decks, screened porch, outdoor fire pit and everything else was warm and inviting, and we couldn't have been more comfortable or pleased with our stay. Leave your cell phones at home (the coverage there is almost non-existent, though you can connect to the rest of the world via the home's WiFi network if you must) and just enjoy the natural beauty of the place and all its surroundings. It's just a short drive to historic Bennington, and even shorter to some of the most beautiful country anywhere around.

Excellent home with exceptional views!

  • 5 of 5

This home is well well maintained, organized and generously stocked. The owners have done much to showcase the natural beauty of this location. We were able to enjoy this home on sunny as well as rainy days, and made great use of the decks, grill, outdoor sitting areas, fire pit, and sweeping views from within the living areas. With the obvious care the owners put into this home and many thoughtful conveniences, the experience is more like staying as a guest in a home than at a generic rental property.

House in arlington, vt on Pickering lane

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well maintained. The view and layout wonderful. All amenities were nice. Our only problem was the downstairs bedroom was cramped. The bed was too small for 2 adults and quite uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was beyond our expectations.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The home has plenty of room and is cozy and comfortable. Feels like you're staying with friends. The views are great and the location is convenient to Manchester and other points of interest. Definitely want to go back and spend more time in the area.
