This home has been completed remodeled. Sometimes describing the characteristics of a home falls short of capturing the essence. The specifics of this property are simple: the home is 2,315 square feet on one level with a 12,000 sq. ft. private yard with pool steps away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are 4 Bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with one bedroom and bath separated from the others. The Living and Dining rooms have large sliding French-doors units and windows to connect one to the the large backyard with huge fifty year-old sycamore trees and a lush lawn. The entire property is fenced, including the front yard.
What is not easy to describe is the feeling that the property exudes. There is a wonderful quality of tranquility and peace - privacy and refuge. You feel as if you are in your own world. Rest from your cares in the backyard on comfortable club chairs, or sit by the fire in the living room, or simply relax in your own private pool (9' x 16').
All of the furnishings in the home are new. All of the beds and high-thread count linens are new. There are new smart LCD TV's in the Living room (47') and Master Bedroom (42'); each have apps to view Netflix streaming movies and listen to Pandora music. The home is casually furnished with taste and comfort in mind.
This beautiful home is a very short 3 1/2 minute walk to a private beach club, which is part of the development. It is very convenient to have bathrooms, hot showers, and beach furniture. There is no food service, but a simple place to store belongings. There are also two private tennis courts that are dedicated to the the residences. 2 minutes from the home are small shops, a wonderful market, a few restaurants, and even a Starbucks --

My wife and I both were born and raised in California. We love the beach, the privacy, and the community feeling of Malibu West. I am an architect who will one day retire to this peaceful and wonderful home.

Out of all the areas along the 27 miles of shoreline in Malibu, we felt like this location offered the most privacy, sense of community, and best beaches. There is also something so wonderful about living in a beach community with such spectacular foliage. All the homes are surrounded by enormous trees and mature landscaping.
Most guest say the heated pool is really a nice touch. Having the access to a private beach club and tennis courts really sets this community apart. The Trancas Market Shopping Center around the corner provides Starbucks, restaurants, and grocery store.
This property is stunning! The open plan layout and furnishings create a very relaxing atmosphere. The sound system & netflixs were a hit with our 19 and 21 year olds and we now know the words (or in most cases the one repeated line) in most current songs! The property was spotlessly clean and towels, soap, shampoo, hairdryer etc were all provided.The kitchen has every pot, pan , gadget (microwave, coffee maker, etc) that a cook could possibly want and the BBQ (our son did all the cooking on it!!) is amazing. We hadn't intended to eat in much but the country market is just a 2 minute walk away and has wonderful meat, fruit & veg plus we felt so at home in Robert's house that we ate in most nights.
The pool/jacuzzi and outdoor space is just beautiful and we spent most days around the pool chatting or at the private beach.
Robert was extremely helpful even before we left the UK - giving us advice about where to stay for our first week in central Los Angeles. He met us at the house (and was absolutely charming even though we were almost an hour late due to traffic!) and explained how everything worked. We had no problems during our stay but I am certain that any issues would have been dealt with promptly and efficiently by Robert should there have been any.
We had the most wonderful week at this house - our 21 year daughter said that it was the best holiday she had ever had - and we would love to return at some point in the future. Thank you again, Robert, for making our stay so perfect.
This property was the perfect getaway that was complimented by a very well designed and functional layout. Great location with easy access to both village market and zuma beach.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. It has been Impeccably renovated. We all enjoyed the pretty yard, small heated pool, outdoor fire pits and ping pong table. The neighborhood is nice and kid friendly and just a short walk to the beach, grocery store, Starbucks and a cafe. We are definitely looking forward to returning next summer!
We rented this home for our 35th wedding anniversary and brought our grown married children and very young grandchildren. Although beautiful in the pictures, it is stunning in person and much larger and spacious than pictures show.
We spent a good deal of time enjoying the beautiful outdoor spaces...two fire pits with comfy seating for those cool Malibu evenings, and certainly the lovely heated pool. As stated, the beach is a short walk away with beach toys available in the private locker area.
Everything is super convenient to the home, with shopping just steps away, yet when you are sitting outside at night you could be at any national forest for the peace of the surroundings.
Oh, and we had a professional photographer come and do family pictures one day...many beautiful settings for that as well!

Exceeded expectations! Clean and well maintained. Looked at many places, but this was the best overall property with open floor plan, lots of parking and great location. It offers many places for family to hang out together, or sneaking alone time, both inside and out. Owner was accommodating and generous with necessities and amenities to help make our stay feel like our own private resort. Be careful with white furniture and marble kitchen.

Owner met us when we arrived, did a thorough walk-thru and explained the renovation. Everything is brand new and super clean; kitchen, bath fixtures, flooring, doors, furnishings, etc., with AV systems that include provided cable, Netflix and Amazon access, and also allow renters to port their own entertainment content. The home was beautifully done (the owner is an architect), it has a very comfortable one-level floor plan, with a vaulted living area ceiling, and feels like a beach house (the exterior photos of the home do not do it justice). There is a nice outdoor area, with 2 fire pits, back yard, and a small heated pool. There's an outdoor grill outside the kitchen which we used quite a bit, and table tennis in the garage. The home is in a perfect location very close to Zuma and Broad beaches, with access to a private beach club. It's also a 3 minute walk from the new Trancas Country Market, and we can't emphasize enough how convenient that made the stay! Although very close to PCH and the beach, the home is nestled in a very quiet area, and highway traffic noise is nonexistent.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone, and we plan on returning!
