About Liviu Marhao

Owned by Eagle Nests Homes, a family investment My name is Liviu Marhao and I am the builder and part owner of the house. In 2006 I took a trip to Mountain Air and our family fell in love with the location. We decided that this is the perfect place to build a retreat for our family. I combined my many years of expertise in building custom homes with advanced technologies with the passion of designing and building this retreat to last for generations. Hundreds of hours were spent in research and 18 months in supervising the project, giving much attention to overall quality, choice of materials, architectural details and the highest level of craftsmanship. This is the place where our family comes together to regroup, relax, spend time away from the hectic life and enjoy nature and each others. We would like you to have the same opportunity, you will not be disappointed!

Liviu Marhao purchased this villa in 2008

Why Liviu Marhao chose Burnsville

Breath taking mountain view, secluded and upscale. No humidity and moderate temperatures in the summer, never above 86F. Fly in and out with your small plane or helicopter. Paved private runway 3000 ft. Down the mountain the town of Bunsville awaits you for shoping and dining. More than dozen streams in close proximity for fly fishing.

What makes this villa unique

Cleanse your lungs with fresh mountain air. Morning mist comes up the valley as you wake up. You will find yourself surrounded by the beauty of nature while enjoying luxurious accommodations. Take a good breakfast and head to the top of the mountain where miles of trails are waiting to be discovered and explored. Rest and quiet down as you stay at the house and let your creativity fly high.

Floridians head to the Mountains!

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this beautiful house! It is absolutely beautiful, so spacious and had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway in the mountains. We went to Ashevillle everyday so it was secluded enough for the beautiful scenery but close enough to downtown fun. The owners were so responsive, hospitable, and incredibly helpful! We can't wait to come back and enjoy those breath-taking views!

So amazing!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of friends took our annual trip to the mountains and could not have asked for a better house to stay at! It was a short drive into Asheville and most of the time we hung out around the fire on the back deck. The house is beautiful and was able to accommodate six couples very comfortably. The owner of the home was so helpful. He made sure to send us information on events happening locally and left us a welcome basket when we arrived. He was very accommodating the entire time. We would absolutely right this house again!

Perfect extended weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We come to Asheville every year for an extended weekend without kids. Our group of 12 had looked for other houses and hotel ideas with no luck. When we found Mr Marhao's house, we hit the jackpot. The accommodations were exactly what we needed. 6 great bedrooms with comfortable beds and all the bathrooms and showers were great for each couple to enjoy. The grocery store was only a short drive and with such a nice kitchen in the house, we cooked at the house most of the time. Mr Marhao was always excellent when responding to our questions regarding the house. We will be back again next year to enjoy another short getaway. See y'all then!

Wonderful Experience!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing home. We had a very large party and from the beginning to the end of the process the owner could not have been more helpful and accomodating. this was our first rental on VRBO and we were a little nervous, but the owner did everything he said he would and then some! About the home itself...amazing!, like i said, we had a large party(8 adults and 7 children)it easily accomodated us all. The views are stunning, and the neighborhood that it is in is incredible. They have playgrounds and hiking trails for the kids, it was a never ending adventure. It was also very easy to get to, and a beautiful drive. My family and i would definatley stay here again.

Good place for family reunion

  • 5 of 5

My large family stayed at this home and really enjoyed our time. Gorgeous views, spacious rooms for hanging out, and the house has several different levels, so kids can sleep in one section while adults are playing games and laughing in another.

Liviu is really good with communication and always responds quickly to messages. That is a huge plus in my opinion.

Big kitchens

TONS of natural light

Big outdoor deck with a metal fence

Great view of mountains/golf course

Quiet, peaceful environment

A study and reading room for reflection or reading

Lots of DVDs and some books

Two kitchens on different levels, so food prep can happen quickly

I have to nitpick to say negative things, and each guest has certain things that they care about or prefer, so these things may not even be an issue for other guests.

-Steep sloped driveway (which can't be helped due to the terrain) may be scary for some drivers and difficult for unskilled manual transmission drivers

-The steep roads driving up the mountain to the house were very taxing for 4-cylinder Camrys with even light cargo/few passengers, so we had to leave a few cars at the base of the mountain and use the SUVs for a few extra trips to ferry people up and down

-The wifi was very inconsistent and not enough for internet usage, so computers/netflix/facebook/etc... were not an option. This house and location are a place you definitely would want to visit to get away from computers and the busyness of everyday life, but since a few of us are self-employed we were unable to do any of our admin/business upkeep work at the house and had to drive approx. 25 mins. for internet access. The mountains also blocked AT&T phone reception, so several of us were completely and hopelessly off the grid while at the house. Again, being in the home and away from everything was great and I treasure the memories we made at this beautiful place, but it was difficult to keep current with potential clients and work emergencies and such.

-I think our family was one of the larger groups that have stayed here and so we used all the towels that were at the house. There is a good washer/dryer and laundry is no problem, but you may consider bringing a few extra towels is you have 15+ people in your party.

-The bathrooms didn't have shower curtains, so shower water splashed onto the floor. That may be a European architectural thing, but it just necessitated an extra towel on the floor to catch that splashing
