The owners lives downstairs with an elderly cat. There is complete space separation between the units with no shared entrances. The owners are rather reclusive but friendly, always available for any of the rentals' needs. We own a fireplace retail business which means we work regularly and otherwise travel frequently. We sometimes use the hot tub and practice yoga on one of the lower garden decks.

The photo is of me in front of the house. My husband and I travel frequently and whenever possible we rent a vacation home rather than stay in a hotel. We value comfort and convenience and keep in mind our own expectations and preferences when furnishing our rental. We will always choose a home with a garden, and a hot tub is always a bonus. After a day of touring and sight seeing, we enjoy sitting in a beautiful outside setting, enjoying each other and a glass of wine. We want to provide you with the best possible lodging experience to complement your enjoyment of the Bay Area. We are huge fans of the Bay Area and enjoy its offerings of beautiful nature and urban delights as though we are tourists. My husband was a frequent Bay Area visitor (from New England) when I met him here through mutual friends 12 years ago. After I spent two cold north eastern winters with him, he came to his senses and moved to the temperate climate of the Bay Area. We married 10 years ago, and he has no regrets about relocating!

*Sunny, warm climate, no fog! *Views *Garden *Peaceful and Serene *Central proximity to the Bay Area, San Francisco, Napa Valley, and other tourist attractions. Within walking distance of Mills College. Close-knit neighborhood of middle class professionals. Peaceful and quiet.
Proximity to Bay Area/Napa tourist destinations. Very romantic and private for a love-nest get-away. Wonderful home for families visiting relatives. Great for Grandparents!
We loved our stay at the Oasis. Private, quiet neighborhood, and comfortable. The best part is the amazing deck with views of Oakland, San Francisco, and the beautiful Bay. Away from the busy cities but still convenient to both Oakland an San Francisco.
Impeccably maintained with a beautiful, peaceful garden and breathtaking view. We loved every minute of our time here and really appreciated Dee's attention to detail. Very quiet neighborhood, a short drive to all that Oakland has to offer. One of the highlights was our hike in the redwoods--just minutes away--as suggested by the host in her welcome book. I was able to do some work with a gorgeous view of the bay as the backdrop.
Everything was just like it was describes on the listing for VRBO. The view was breathtaking and unforgettable. We sat out some morning eating breakfast over looking the bay bridge and the city. At night we enjoyed seeing the lights of the city before heading to bed. The house was clean and everything was there that you would need. The bed was Therapedic soft and we never got up stiff in the morning. I liked that cause we had one at home. If you are staying a week that is a must. You can even just sit out and enjoy the view from chairs to relax on. At night your can watch TV. The owner was helpful but not intrusive. We didn't have any major problems just were to put trash. She text us to help us and that was good. If you forgot something well she had it. Restaurants were good that she recommended. Walgreens was near by. If traffic was good about 35 minutes to get to San Francisco. Yes we would recommend this place to friends and relatives. We even think about coming back again for the view of the city and the lights of the city at night. That is what was the attraction to the little nice house and the bed. Best place we every stayed at.
The owners have created one of the best VRBO units we have enjoyed in our ten years of VRBO'ing. Everything on the site is true but you have to see it in person to experience the full effect of California peace and tranquility. The beds are great, the rooms are lovely, the kitchen is very easy to use and even the knives are sharp. No Ikea trash here. Plus, the vintage stove is adorable and easy to cook on. The owners were in residence downstairs but we heard not a peep from them. It took us three days to figure out they were around. "Hotel silent rock," she told me was installed between floors. Freeway access is easy, great food is nearby, and both the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate are on display for your steady contemplation. Are you looking for a place to stay in the Bay area? Grab this house right now. This is the standard you'll judge all other VRBO rentals by in the future.
Liz and I had a great time here. Quiet, clean, great deck and wonderful views.
The owners have made this a very delightful and welcoming home to stay and relax while enjoying the sites. There are many little extras that make the stay so enjoyable from the spectacular views, comfortable chairs on the deck overlooking their delightful yard to the well appointed home. I didn't want for a thing while staying!! Definitely will stay again!
