This recently renovated cottage is clean and immaculate. The kitchen is all new with a working island with bar seating. The bathrooms have new sinks, toilets and shower. The new flooring is mahogany laminate throughtout. Outside we have full deck on front and side so you can view our splendid Lake Champlain and mountains that brings peace of mind. There's 200 ft. of lakefront to explore. There's a large lawn for family fun. There are two steps for full access to cottage. Bedroom #2 (twins) is wheelchair accessable as well as the full bathroom. Have your coffee in the morning observing the geese and loons. Swim off the dock or try and catch that fish. It's a sandy beach here so just plant your chair and enjoy. This is a wonderful vacation destination so give us a try.
We've visited Vermont about a dozen times in the last 25-30 years and stayed at various places along Lake Champlain. This one had one of the more peaceful and quiet settings of them all and ranks among the top for a place to go to sit back, watch the gulls, ducks and geese, feed the chipmunks and listen to the quiet...hard to improve on silence. The camp is outfitted with about everything one needs for a visit. Plenty of pots and pans, dishes, flatware and other kitchen necessities. Plenty of overhead fans, lots of windows for catching the evening breeze and comfortable sleeping accommodations made for a pleasant stay. Kayaks were a plus. Wrap decking around half of the home provided a great extension of the camp and we spent many a day sitting, having friends visit and just enjoying...! Falkor and Lady Bug, our small dogs, equally enjoyed the place. A 15 minute walk puts you in the center of South Hero and near a snack bar and ice-cream place. Our favorite restaurant, however, was the Blue Paddle Bistro, located on the main road. If you visit, you must try it! All-in-all, we had a great two-weeks respite from things and would likely stay there again on a future visit...and recommend you try it too! Ron & Diane Fitch--Knoxville Area, Tennessee
Fell absolutely in love with this camp. Definitely one of the newer and modern camps located in the area.
Inside the camp are big windows that allow lots of ambient light from outside to illuminate the camp inside so little need to turn on any lights inside the camp. At night the windows help provide a nice cross-breeze in the camp when combined with the ceiling fans.
A full kitchen with an island which was fantastic.Oven and microwave were great and the refrigerator/freezer was clean and spacious. Even water and ice cubes were provided for our stay which was nice.
Both bedrooms had comfortable beds with spacious closets. The master bedroom had a TV which was a big plus. Both bedrooms also had ceiling fanst. The queen size futon was also very comfortable and especially nice to sleep on at night with the cross-breezes.
Plenty of chairs inside the camp and the kitchen table was nice and spacious. All cooking utensils, bakeware, drinkware and spices were at our disposal. Keurig coffee maker was also a big plus.
Both bathrooms were great and well lit and ventilated with fans. Shower in the master bathroom was awesome and the ½ bathroom was especially handy for guests.
Having a washer/dryer onsite was especially handy. Plenty of towels and replacement lines were also available.
We really enjoyed the nice spacious deck outside. The front deck is shaded in the morning and the side deck gets more shade in the afternoon. Late afternoon/early evening the trees provide additional shade for the whole deck. It was so very nice having breakfast and supper at the table on the deck and many afternoons spent kicking back in their beach chairs.
The lawn was so very big and was great for just about any lawn game you love.
The fire pit was great and located between the front of the camp and the lake. You get a fantastic view of the sunset across the lake. Just a small walk down the road and you can catch the sunrise if you’re an early bird.
The lower beach area was great, again especially if you have small kids. Lots of sand to dig in and the water was very shallow so your little ones will have a ball. Two kayaks were so fun to use.
The owner was available if we ever needed anything fixed or replaced. We noticed that the water pressure had gotten low but the owner came immediately to remedy the issue and all was well again. It’s nice to have an owner that is available when needed. We look forward to coming back.
We had a wonderful week in this nice cottage on Keeler Bay. It is at the end of the road, and while it is in a neighborhood setting, it is nice and private, A nice flat beach allows for easy launch of canoes or kayaks, There is a large side lawn perfect for volleyball or badminton. Watching the sun set from the deck or by the fire pit is a perfect way to end to a day
The cottage itself is small but spotless and very comfortable. There are a lot of window so it is very light and open feeling. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to work in. The bedrooms are comfortable and the main bath is large and the half bath is especially handy.
The cottage is an easy bike ride from convenience stores, Hacketts farm for cider donuts, Allenholm farm for maple cree mees, and only 15 miles from Burlington via the bike path.
Can't wait to go back nest year!
My apologies for not leaving a review sooner! Your cottage is wonderful and clean. One of my favorite things I did was to take a nap outside on the deck! So peaceful! Cottage is centrally located for a trip to Canada, also!. My husband, Gracie and I enjoyed our week in your cottage. Thank you again for a very relaxing week!
