Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We loved it here at the house! It was the perfect way to get 'off the grid' without having to give up our comforts. My husband and I just wanted a long weekend away from the city and to be able to see the beautiful October that New Hampshire is famous for. We prefer to rent a whole home versus a condo or hotel room. We just like the privacy better.

The chalet was the absolute perfect place for us. Tucked away in the woods, you really feel secluded and private. But it's close enough to civilization that you can still experience shopping and dining. And it's so close to the gorgeous panoramic views and great hiking spots we can't get enough of.

The house itself is very cozy. It comes completely furnished and accessorized (you do need to bring your own sheets and towels which is no big deal). The appliances are newer and work just fine, and the kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils and accessories. They even allow pets so we didn't have to find an expensive kennel and could bring the pooch! (If you do bring your dog, make sure to bring flea and tick treatments...you are in the woods after all.) And the wifi and netflix helped keep us entertained in the evening when we wanted to post pictures online or watch a movie.

The owners are very nice and accommodating, and made it very simple and stress free to book. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get, and I have absolutely no complaints. I have recommended the chalet to friends and family for future vacations and I know I will be back as well. Great place!

Good value

  • 3 of 5

This is a good choice if you have a lot of people and aren't too concerned about quality accommodations or cleanliness. The area is beautiful so if you're just looking for a place to sleep this house works. Communication with the owners is painful, messages are abrupt and sometimes confusing. If there is a problem (like the heat isn't working) you're on your own. Luckily for us when this happened to us my husband was able to fix the issue.

This is a "you get what you pay for" kind of place.

Owner's Response: I'm actually surprised with this review.. The gentleman called me at 10:15 at night saying that the thermostat wasn't working, we talked for 7 minutes because i was trying to walk him through the problem. Mind you we have 7 thermostats in the house and only 1 was the issue. He seemed nice and he said let me hang up with you so i can take a better look. 5 minutes later he text me saying all set, that it was a switch he had to turn on. Prior to resolving the problem, I offered to call the property manager to go and fix the problem, but I said it was kind of late that i may need to call a 24 hour service. he said well let me take a quick look and i'll call you back, and thats when he text back a few minutes later saying " all set". As an owner what more could I do? Honestly my wife and I go above and beyond to try to make the place a clean, respectable, enjoyable, environment. We are a family as well and have a sense of what other families would want. We even pay extra to have the place cleaned beyond the standard service. We have had 2 complaints in over 6 years of renting. The other was a stain on the carpet, and we decided the carpet was getting old anyway so we had all new carpet and flooring installed 2 weeks later. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible standard. Look at all our reviews before this one. This is not a " you get what you pay for" situation in any way. You definitily get value. ok thanks for reading.

loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautiful!! It's a nice sized house, very clean and the owners seemed like nice people from what I gathered during our interactions. The location is really nice, it's a peaceful, quite place and there's a lake in driving distance. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone who's looking for a vacation rental in this area.

My friends and I loved the place. Beautiful cozy place with lots of funny pictures on walls.

Had problem to find the place bc of gps but owners was really kindly explained how to get there.

That was my first time renting a place so I'm really happy with my experience. Will keep in mind this place for future.

Great place to stay on vacation.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice house with all kinds of room. Just a short distance from about anything that you would want to go see. Having access to all the beaches on the ponds was a big plus considering we had 6 kids with us. Had everything there that we needed, would definitely go back again.
