Overview

About the property

Sekiu Beach House, Chalet, Sleeping Loft, Sleeps 6, 2 Baths, Quiet & Peaceful

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place to get away from it all, look no further than this secluded waterfront vacation home on the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Sekiu, Washington.

This rugged and beautiful part of the Northwest Coast is located just 35 miles from Forks, Washington, and about 20 miles from the trailhead of Shi Shi Beach, considered one of the best wilderness beaches in the world. We are also close to Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the continental US, (the beginning of the world). Our little piece of paradise is a great jumping off spot for visiting all points of the Olympic National Park, whether you want to soak your cares away at Sol Duc Hot Springs, visit the giant and ancient moss covered trees of the Hoh Rainforest, or hike one of the many beach or mountain trails. We're close to the Sol Duc River, famous not only for steelhead and salmon, but now as the home of the Cullen family.

Just want to relax? Sit on the deck of this well appointed home and watch the ships go by, eagles soar overhead and whales cruise the coastline. Beach comb for driftwood, rocks and shells, and explore the many tide pools right in front of the house. On a clear and moonless night, be amazed by the brilliant stars and the Milky Way. And nothing is as wonderful as the cool, fresh air, and the sound of the crashing waves.

For large groups, or if you would like to camp, see VRBO 621863.

About JoAnn Allen

Life long residents of Forks, WA.

JoAnn Allen purchased this chalet in 2007

Why JoAnn Allen chose Olympic Peninsula

We bought this place as our future retirement home and we enjoy using it now when we can. We fell in love with its incredible peace, stunning views, and natural surroundings.

What makes this chalet unique

Walk the beach and enjoy the peace and solitude, sounds of the surf and incredible views.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a lovely stay and we got very lucky with the weather! Our 5 and 7 year old daughters enjoyed our hike from Lake Ozette to the lookout (approximately 6.5 miles). It was warm with no wind...we even got a sunburn! We enjoyed the beach here, the stove, playing Sequence (a VERY heated tourney!), working with clay and playing the piano. Thanks.

Amazing beach!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week long vacation at this home that was on the most amazing beach we have ever been on. We spent our days walking along the beach, searching the tide pools, and enjoying the quiet, peaceful setting of this cozy cabin. It was hard to leave. Even the dogs, who are always ready for a new adventure, left in protest. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making this special place available for others to enjoy!

Secluded, Comfy Beach Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the private beach was. We walked the beach at low tide and didn't see any one else. Stairs were a bit steep to the beach so watch out! Views from the house were beautiful. We saw a bald eagle a few times too. The house had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent time! Beautiful location! Very peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We watched seals in the water daily as we sat enjoying a fire in the fire pit. Excellent access to many Olympic peninsula places. Every question we had was answered graciously and promptly. One of the best places we have stayed in the Pacific Northwest and we have stayed in many places.

Wonderful experience and we all felt taken care of! The bathrooms had sample shower products and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking equipment. The beds were comfy and sofas plentiful for sociable evenings. Such a gorgeous beach as well for exploring! Thank you!
