Overview

About the property

Sekiu Beach House, Chalet, Sleeping Loft, Sleeps 6, 2 Baths, Quiet & Peaceful

If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place to get away from it all, look no further than this secluded waterfront vacation home on the Strait of Juan de Fuca near Sekiu, Washington.

This rugged and beautiful part of the Northwest Coast is located just 35 miles from Forks, Washington, and about 20 miles from the trailhead of Shi Shi Beach, considered one of the best wilderness beaches in the world. We are also close to Cape Flattery, the most northwestern point in the continental US, (the beginning of the world). Our little piece of paradise is a great jumping off spot for visiting all points of the Olympic National Park, whether you want to soak your cares away at Sol Duc Hot Springs, visit the giant and ancient moss covered trees of the Hoh Rainforest, or hike one of the many beach or mountain trails. We're close to the Sol Duc River, famous not only for steelhead and salmon, but now as the home of the Cullen family.

Just want to relax? Sit on the deck of this well appointed home and watch the ships go by, eagles soar overhead and whales cruise the coastline. Beach comb for driftwood, rocks and shells, and explore the many tide pools right in front of the house. On a clear and moonless night, be amazed by the brilliant stars and the Milky Way. And nothing is as wonderful as the cool, fresh air, and the sound of the crashing waves.

For large groups, or if you would like to camp, see VRBO 621863.

About JoAnn Allen

Life long residents of Forks, WA.

JoAnn Allen purchased this chalet in 2007

Why JoAnn Allen chose Olympic Peninsula

We bought this place as our future retirement home and we enjoy using it now when we can. We fell in love with its incredible peace, stunning views, and natural surroundings.

What makes this chalet unique

Walk the beach and enjoy the peace and solitude, sounds of the surf and incredible views.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a lovely stay and we got very lucky with the weather! Our 5 and 7 year old daughters enjoyed our hike from Lake Ozette to the lookout (approximately 6.5 miles). It was warm with no wind...we even got a sunburn! We enjoyed the beach here, the stove, playing Sequence (a VERY heated tourney!), working with clay and playing the piano. Thanks.

They really mean home away from home

  • 5 of 5

This rental has everything you expect: plenty of beds, cozy fireplace, two bathrooms, etc. It also has tons of extras that really set it apart: emergency lights, landline, roasting sticks for the firepit, and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. It's clearly lived in by people who want comfort and safety for long stays.

All that and the best beach we've visited in the northwest. Healthy, diverse tide pools and awesome rock formations just steps away.

Perfect location in a dreamy spot

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed here while exploring Cape Flattery, Forks, Rialto Beach and other hikes in the area. The beach off the house was incredibly peaceful. The entire setting is very peaceful. The house was spotless! We cooked our own dinners and used the kitchen. I had everything I needed to prepare meals. The wood stove in the house kept the place very warm. We didn't use the fire pit outside or the grill but would have liked to! The washer and dryer were a nice surprise as we were traveling for 2 weeks.

Wonderful cabin in the Pacific Northwest!

  • 5 of 5

Nicely appointed, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful deck from which to relax , look out over the water and enjoy the serenity. Private beach provided access for seaside relaxing, walking and exploring tidepools at low tide. If you get up early, the sunrise to the East is gorgeous!
