Overview

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

The 'Bisbee Adobe' is located a short walk from the historic mining town of Bisbee, AZ. With an Elevation of approximately 5300', this quaint little town has some of Arizona's best year round climate.

The 'Bisbee Adobe' was originally built as a rooming house for miners around 1898. The last known tenants were in 1947. The renovation of the building was painstakingly done by a local contractor who did an incredible job and was completed in Aug. 2008.

From the period antiques, reproduction stove and the private coziness the Adobe offers is a very unique experience. With the private porch nestled within the mature oak trees gives the feeling of being in a tree house. Enjoy dinner outside or have a relaxing cup of coffee in the morning. The 'Bisbee Adobe' is configured as a duplex. The lower level is a long term rental and the upstairs is the short term unit which is completely furnished as described. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a trundle bed (2 singles). The Bathroom is accessible from a common hallway.

We could have sat out on that verandah enjoying the beautiful weather and frequent rain indefinitely

  • 4 of 5

This was our first experience using VRBO, and we were very satisfied overall. Everything regarding making the reservation was a snap, and the host couple were very accommodating when we needed to delay our stay. It's so much nicer having a kitchen and a couple of rooms rather than the typical one-room hotel accomadation. There were a couple of house issues that popped up needing attention, but Steve & Darlene saw to them right away.

The house is not right in downtown Bisbee, which we liked. Things were a little quieter, and it was just a nice walk to get down to the shops and restaurants and all. Also, the long-term renter downstairs is very quiet and very nice; hopefully we didn't disturb her! Also, some places in Bisbee can have issues with parking, but the Adobe has a spot for you right in front of the house.

All-in-all, we love Bisbee, and enjoyed our 2-week stay at the Adobe. And we think most anyone would feel the same!

Great rental in the heart of Bisbee

  • 5 of 5

This is a really cute place that's been fully renovated in a way that maintains its original historic charm coupled with all the modern conveniences you could want. We loved sitting on the balcony surrounded by the sound of birds, and when it was time to head into town it was a 16 minute walk to the start of the entertainment district. The owner Darlene was responsive and friendly, and genuinely cared that her guests enjoy their stay. Added bonus is this was dog-friendly so we could bring our goldens along. I'd definitely stay here again.

Bisbee Adobe a step away to relaxation

  • 5 of 5

Bisbee Adobe is a wonderful relaxing setting to explore Bisbee. We enjoyed the cool breeze and the calming sound of the wind chimes in the beautiful oak trees from the front porch. This was a perfect setting to just get away from it all. The owners were timely in replying to our inquiries before arriving. On our next visit we hope Bisbee Adobe is available.

Cosy abode.

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay in the Bisbee Adobe. It is so well maintained and decorated. Very clean, comfortable beds, and great location. We loved the front balcony.

An easy walk downtown, and just as close to hiking up the hills. Bisbee has such an interesting history, and the apartment reflects this history in available literature, and furnishings. Highly recommend!

Freezer could use defrosting. Standard procedure for that beauty I'm sure. Caught a glimpse of the local javelina.

Owner's Response: Thank you Constance! I didn't receive your review until just now, but the refrigerator did get defrosted! And yes, it is standard procedure! LOL So glad mine is a little different at home! We appreciate renters like you!
