Top Notch Pet Friendly Condo - Just Minutes from the Beach

Our Ocean retreat is located in the gated community, The Moorings, within Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. It is Unit 19. The 2-Bedroom, 3 full-bath unit has been beautifully renovated and is personally maintained by our staff located on the Island.

The unit is 1260 square feet and provides ample space for families or multiple couples. The living room has a 65" Smart LCD Flat Screen TV with a Bose surround sound Stereo/DVD system. The room is perfect for watching the big game, your favorite movie, or enjoying cocktail hour with music. The family room also includes a queen sized sleeper sofa.

The Master Suite has a king-sized bed, full bath, and a 36' Flat Screen TV. The second bedroom has 2 queen sized beds, a full bath, and a 42' Flat Screen TV.
The living room and bedrooms all provide access to two wooden decks for taking in the natural beauty of the area. A third full bathroom (with shower) is located off the hallway.

The kitchen is fully-equipped and includes a stainless steel stove and microwave. The unit also has its own new washer and dryer.

Next to the unit is the Moorings' Private Pool. The beach is just a short chip shot from the front-door. The proximity of the beach enables many back-n-forth trips and means that you do not have to drive and unload your car (or look for parking).

Located at the beach entrance is the Dunes House, which provides clean restrooms, as well as a seasonally-operated Bar and Grill (we recommend the fish tacos, shrimp and cold beer).

Also just a short walk from the front door is the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, the Robert Trent Jones golf course, The General Store (groceries, take-out, beach supplies and more), Alexander's Restaurant, and bike, kayak/canoe rentals. The unit is next door to the Marriott Beach Resort and Spa, which offers 2 restaurants, bars, children's camps, spa services, and even Starbucks Coffee.

We are a pet friendly condo. We love dogs since they love the beach as much as we do!

Palmetto Dunes is famous for its 3 world class golf courses, including George Fazio, Arthur Hills, and Robert Trent Jones, and also boasts miles of beautifully landscaped bike/walking trails (and even a tunnel under Rte. 278 to Shelter Cove Marina, a waterside collection of restaurants, shops, entertainment and boat/fishing charter rentals). Palmetto Dunes also provides free shuttle service to Shelter Cove and other island locations.

Great Location

Working with Mike was easy, including check-in and overall communication. Furniture is comfortable and the TV in the living room is a very nice upgrade. Everything is functional and very clean. It was awesome to be able to bring our dog who loves the beach and is a Hilton Head veteran at this point.

Great location!

We had a fantastic week at Hilton Head in this Condo. It had everything needed for us and was very clean…great communication with the owner and the location was perfect….2 minute walk to the beach! We’ll be back!

Quick Christmas getaway

This condo checked all of the boxes for a last-minute (we booked 3 days before) Christmas getaway! Comfortable and roomy for us, our pup, and our two teen boys; and short walking distance to the ocean where we walked a couple of times a day on the dog-friendly beach. The description and photos are accurate of the condo. Yes, it could use some updating, but I did not mind the older bathrooms and counters for the price we paid. During warmer weather, I would have loved to take advantage of the adjacency to the pool as well, but unheated in the winter and left me wishing for a hot tub in the complex instead! The owner was responsive to our questions. I just feel bad that it was obvious that others had disrespected the owner/property in the past based what we saw that was damaged -like the wooden blinds and the poor coaster set in the living room -- or no longer offered -- like the beach chairs or bikes. The only thing I couldn't find in the kitchen to meet our needs was cookie sheets, but all else was fine and checkout a breeze! The pup loved the deer and squirrels that we saw daily near the condo as well and walking distance to the general store, beach rental place, and pickleball/tennis courts.

Spectacular location

This was a perfect holiday, Hilton Head is a wonderful location and our condo was literally 4 minutes walk from the beach. I have never experienced sea water this warm, it is absolutely gorgeous. We also had the bonus of a pool literally yards from the condo which again was so warm. I must stress how well appointed the condo was, very nice furnishings and hugely comfortable beds. I have to mention how nice other guests in the condos were, such a friendly group from all over the US.I cannot recommend Hilton Head and particularly our condo highly enough.

Better than advertised

I would say this is one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed at on vacation. The place has been updated since the listing photos were taken. There is some extra seating in the living room and the furniture is very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable and exceeded my expectations. Water pressure in the showers was also excellent. The 3rd bathroom is also a huge plus! Mike is an excellent host and responded immediately to any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. If you are the type of person that wheels a lot of stuff to the beach, I would recommend leaving the beach stuff in your vehicle and getting a parking spot right by the ramp in the morning and loading and unloading there as the pavement from the condo to the beach is a little rough. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking in the area. Appliances- 10/10 Furniture 10/10 Kitchen 10/10 Showers and Bathrooms 10/10 Host 10/10
