We booked this place last minute and only stayed a night but we enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect, the interior is fun and clean, the hosts are great and accessible. We would very much recommend it and we will definitely stay here next time!
We had the best time! The owners are very easy to communicate with, they are also available for emergencies by phone, luckily we didn't have to use it. The city is so charming and this apartment is right in the middle of it all, on Váci street which is an old pedestrian street filled with cafes restaurants and all sorts of antique shops and small boutiques. You can't ask for a better location. The apartment itself is large and the pictures don't do it justice, the rooms are sunny and well appointed with a very well equipped kitchen. The food in Hungary is delicious, we rarely cooked but there is a fantastic farmer's market at the end of the block and there are also smaller markets on the street for wine or other delicacies. The bathroom is large and we had plenty of towels and some aces we needed more. The family is absolutely lovely and they are very happy to help with any questions we had. We felt spoiled and we cannot recommend this place enough, as advertised, the best value you can get in town!
My mother and I stayed at Loft V65 from 1 October to 22 October, 2015 and we could not have been happier with the choice we made.
It was her first visit to Budapest and I, having spent a lot of time in Budapest and other parts of Hungary over the past twenty years, wanted to make her first visit as special as possible. The only hotels I have ever stayed in in Hungary have been small, family run hotels in cities far outside Budapest so renting a flat was a given. On my first few visits, I stayed with my husband's family and that has made me quite picky about the flats I rent when I visit. I married into a Hungarian family and if you've never had the pleasure of being welcomed into a Hungarian home I can tell you that you are really missing out.
When looking online and combing through the huge assortment of flats we had to choose from, there was a certain feel that I was looking for that you can't find among the list of amenities. The moment I saw Loft V65, I knew this was the place from which I wanted to introduce Budapest, the city I had fallen in love with twenty years ago, to my mother. It looked like a home in the photos and it looks exactly like that in person. Better, even.
The flat is located on a walk-street filled with every store, restaurant, and bar you could possibly want. A short walk away is the Vásárcsarnok (the Grand Market Hall) which is the largest indoor market in Hungary. There are three tram lines just blocks away that will have you to metro stations in a matter of minutes. From there, the city is yours. Closer to home are the conveniences of twenty-four hour groceries, corner stores, cafes, you name it and it's there.
Everything you could want inside the flat is there with one exception - I would have really liked to have had a clothes washer but this was easily remedied by the pick-up and drop-off service that can be arranged and was worth the price to not have to deal with laundry while on vacation. Everything else was there, though, to include a dishwasher (which is a surprising luxury!), to make this place feel like home.
Everything was perfectly clean and well kept and the owner was extremely attentive to us and answered every question I had promptly and even emailed often to see how we were getting along in the city and to recommend things to see and restaurants to visit.
I absolutely would stay there again. My mom? She kept saying she wanted to buy the flat and move there!
We have been traveling in europe for tbe last few weeks and this was on our top 3 places to stay. The apartment has a great floor plan very spacious and everything we needed was there. The location was perfect! Easy tram stop to central train station and visiting the city. The owners were super helpful and helped us in a jam. Loved Budapest and would stay here again!!
This was my first time to Budapest and it was a great busy area. The restaurants on the street were very touristy and I'd suggest other areas. Try the Hummus Bar! And the Greek restaurant close by on the Danube. The apartment was spacious lots of room for the 4 of us, 2 couples. The bathroom needs some serious updating and the shower head was broken. Manageable though. We had a lot of fun and I'd recommend this apartment
Two mature couples shared this spacious flat right on Vaci Street, the pedestrian hub of Budapest.
The web description is accurate so no need to say much more than confirm it is very comfortable and spacious for 4.
Aircon in bedrooms was a bonus as we struck a hot spell over 37 degrees.
As other have said, the currently absent owner, Gabor was super efficient in correspondence and also has a local helper (Roland) available if required .
It is on 3rd floor of building (93 steps) so having an outside lift is most welcome for oldies.
