I am Nicolas, married to Caroline. We are in our 30' and parents of twins baby boys of 3 years and a 4 years old little girl. I lived in the US at Austin TX (one of my best experience), in 2001 and loved to help my friends discovering France and Paris. I have some close family living in CA near Monterey and SF area.
A couple of years after being back to France, we decided with my wife to buy 2 places on the Ile Saint Louis (VRBO #168257 and VRBO#299432). I rapidly gets outstanding reviews and I decided to help friends to manage some selected other outstanding properties with a single guideline : welcoming guest who want to have their 'home away' experience in Paris.
My main activity is to be General Counsel working in the field of the French Start-up industry. With those apartments, I am really doing what I love to do : helping guests to have a magic experience of Paris with the most charming places in the best locations of Paris.
I am confident that your experience of Paris at home will be a sucess !
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2010
Location, Location, Location.
This is very simple : Ile Saint Louis is a dream area even for Parisian People. The most exclusive and well placed area of the city. I couldn't buy anywhere else.
You can find cheaper, but nowhere else you will feel the city like on the Island !
This is a fact that the most exclusive area is the Ile Saint Louis and the most historic.
Because there is no other place like Ile Saint Louis, even Le Marais or Saint Germain des près are not as magic as Ile Saint Louis. This is a privilege to live there. Ile Saint Louis is the most exclusive part of Paris and the best place to 'feel' the city. But at the night, the ambiance is calm and magic. Walking along la Seine river with Notre Dame Cathedral as a view is amazing. And when I got back to my place, with its old beams and tiled floor in an 17th century building, yes, I can say it : i am in the heart of Paris, well in my cozy place !
Sheila and Mike : What a great property. Nicely appointed with everything you need to enjoy a stay of a day or a month.
Rita : This apartment proved to be the perfect location in a safe neighborhood and building. As a senior citizen searching for an apartment for myself, I found the comments provided by others that have stayed here extremely helpful in my making the decision to contact Nicholas to make a reservation. And after living here for two plus weeks, I can only concur with all that others have said about this apartment
Stephen and Tami : The location was perfect and it was always a pleasure coming back to a nice, quiet and safe area. You have a complete French shopping experience within a couple blocks of this apartment. The shower and bath were very nice and the bed was comfortable. All the food and drink we needed were within a five minute walk. The most important part of our stay was that we knew Nicholas was available if there was a problem or we had any concerns. He really cares about the well being of his tenants while in his property and the good news is that he has just purchased the apartment upstairs and they are remodeling it as I write this. We will recommend both Nicholas and his properties to our friends and family.
Tim and Patricia : We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at this magical place. The location and setting could not have been more central or more romantic. Just steps from wonderful shops and restaurants. The view of Notre Dame lit up at night was a postcard....would stay here again and again.
James : Location, Location, Location....the perfect spot for the 1st--but not last visit to Paris. Right around corner on this beautiful island we found the best crepe spot, sorbet shop, grocery, bakery, shopping, restaurants, and of course...the Seine--PERFECT!
Alsu and Ravil : Hello dear Nicolas! We wanted to thank you wholeheartedly for our absolutely wonderful stay at your place! The apartment was so charming and convenient and even about five steps from the best ice cream places and lovely boutiques of Paris! We loved walking on the banks of the river at night and near Notre Dame, where there were some groups playing music every night... We felt like we were in the hearth of history but with all the modern amenities. The bathroom and the bed were superb, and the concierge was very friendly and very nice! Hope we can come visit again within next couple of years for a longer stay. Thanks
This was the perfect appartment for our long weekend in Paris. The location is unbeatable and the appartment is newly rennovated with good space. The area is also quiet, but just a short walk away from sights and restaurants. Nicolas was so kind and accomodating and really made us feel at home at once! We loved the touch with the binder where he recommends best places to eat and other Paris insights. It was an unforgettable stay and we really hope to return soon again. I give it my warmest recommendation.
I wish we could have stayed here for another 30 days. Perfectly situated and appointed this apartment was perfect. We loved opening the windows to the lovely street below, the wrought iron trim, the very modern interiors where every detail was attended to, from the functional and well designed kitchen cabinets to the lights behind the bed for nightime reading. Our host could not have been more generous and more accommodating. He made the entire process manageable and was available to respond to all our inquiries. I especially appreciated the availability of WiFi and the fact that we could make phone calls from the apartment at no cost. We didn't avail ourselves of this perk but it was nice to know it was there. The location was perfect. Away from the crowds but just a bridge away from the lights of this enchanting city. Elegant bistros and brasseries, top restaurants in cozy settings, Berthillon gelato, great bakeries, patisseries, creperies, and art galleries that will make you want to stay forever. Maybe one day we will simply pack up and move here.
4 night stay was delightful. Well located in one of the most fascinating parts of Paris, good access to tourist sites and close to metro for others. Nicely furnished including misc convenience items, TV, landline phone.
Only issue is the walk up to the 3d floor US style floor, 2nd floor French style. Definitely not for disabled or physically challenged.
Owner was helpful. Ask him for reference to car service at taxi rates, will arrange pick up and departure rides. Driver will help with luggage.
This apartment worked fine for our family of five, although my three daughters used the living space as their bedroom so things were a little tight. However, the location is outstanding and makes up for the close quarters. Ile St. Louis affords a bit of quiet from the bustle of Paris, which we really valued. It was lovely to hear the bells of Notre Dame from the apartment! It was easy to deal with Nicolas in advance of our arrival and when we were there too. He was very responsive and speaks excellent English. He also graciously arranged for storage of our luggage for the day after we checked out and as we waited for a night train to our next location. One concern was that the washing machine in the apartment was broken. However, it was our first stop on a four city trip and so we didn't have too much laundry to do anyway. There also is no obvious place we would have put the wet laundry to dry, too. Be aware that there is no air conditioning, although that didn't bother us. As we were leaving Paris, however, it was predicated to be 102 F so we were happy to be heading elsewhere considering there was no air conditioning. Be aware too that the stairs to the apartment are winding and narrow and might be a problem for those not too agile. We were fine with them, however. We enjoyed the apartment and would rent it again. Its best feature is its location - central and close to everything yet quiet.
Perfect place to get to know Paris and fall in love with it! On the Isle of St. Louis and near Notre Dame you get your bearings quickly for the rest of the City but so much to do so close by! Situated on a quiet street on the island. We walked everywhere or to the nearby metro. Perfect! Definitely hope to visit again.
