About this property

Rustic Beautiful Lg Colorado Rockies Mtn Home w/ Lg Hot Tub Border Ntl Forest

The unique aspect of this chalet style mountain home is its beautiful serene and scenic location. The right combination of both is waiting for you. There are three Bedrooms and a loft with two queen beds plus two bathrooms one full and one which is a half bath with a cabinet, vanity sink and toilet. Sip your favorite refreshment in the large hot tub, while enjoying the mountain views all around you. A baby grand and guitar are included for the musically inclined. A large fireplace will keep you toasty in the winter, and gentle mountain breezes will keep you comfortable in the summer. There is a large living room ceiling fan and a circulating air fan from the furnace There is no need for superficial air conditioning since mother nature provides it all.

While the city of Boulder is accessible in twenty minutes for the normal amenities such as dining, theater, music, sightseeing, and shopping, - - - the mountain town of Nederland is only ten minutes away for satisfying basic needs. Sugarloaf Mountain Rd, which will bring you to the house, is maintained year round for safe access and driving. (By the way, the route that Mapquest- type programs often designate for you is often actually twice as long as the local route.) Directions for the local route are included in the house access information you will receive.

Ski resorts are within fifteen to ninety minutes away. Mountain Lakes, fishing, hunting and camping are just minutes away. Be it summer or winter activities, this site offers it all.

The way rates are listed is not always clear to everyone, so upon your request I will be happy to provide complete rental information charges. Generally speaking for up to six people I charge a flat per night rate which varies with the time of year as indicated on the calendar, an additonal fee for each person over the six, and up to two children below the age of 6 are free. The cleaning fee is $95. (I actually pay 200, but I feel that is excessive to ask a guest to pay.)
There are two outside dog runs with sheds.
The rate for using them is $15/dog/nt. Otherwise, pets are not allowed in the house. Sorry, I used to allow it but had to many problems.

Ski Vacation
We stayed at this house for our Ski vacation with our teenage children. It was a perfect location to go back and forth to Eldora mountain. The hot tub was perfect end each night after a day of skiing.

Lovely secluded cabin
We stayed here over Xmas and it was very cosy! We had snow but the cabin stayed warm and inviting…there were plenty of logs in the yard to make a fire. Kitchen needs an upgrade but all the supplies we needed were there, plus a very generous supply of towels, which was great as we used the large hot tub daily! Owner is super responsive to queries. This home overall had a warm loving feel to it, and we loved being there with family.

Little Piece of Paradise! Highly Recommend!
We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving break with our adult children. We had a relaxing and renewing time together. This special home was the perfect spot for us! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the fireplace was so cozy with a generous supply of wood. The relaxing & clean hot tub was a highlight for us, we used it every night. Beds were comfy! Lots of blankets, linens and towels furnished. This is a very special home, and we hope to get back there...highly recommend it!! John, the caretaker for the property, was welcoming, so pleasant and has a wealth of knowledge on the area. Super nice guy! We felt a sense of security knowing he was there, if we had questions about anything. We couldn't be happier with our decision to pick this rental for our little family reunion!

Beautiful deck
We loved the setting and the space, large deck and hot tub. The place could have been cleaner, and we would like to have been informed ahead of our stay that there was a caretaker staying in the basement. But Larry was friendly and responded to phone calls when the power went out. The location was great, close to Brainard Lake, Nederland and so many beautiful sites.

A Colorado native, I've lived in all parts of the state. I know what I love about Colorado and I spent years searching for the location that has it all. Well, when I found this home, I spent one hour without saying a word looking it over, then when the owner said 'What do you think?', I said 'Sold.' And I've been sold on it ever since. I actually get excited with the thought of vacation renters enjoying my place. (No, I do not stay here when it is rented to you.) I love sharing the specialness of my home. Everything special about Colorado is within immediate reach from this location. The dramatic and rugged wilderness of the Continental Divide, to the cultured sophisticated amenities of the City of Boulder. Anything you're in the mood for is only minutes away.

Why they chose this property

As I said in my profile, I bought this home because in itself and in its surroundings, it constitutes the best of Colorado. This is my home and not merely a 'rental', but of course I do not stay here when I rent it out to you..

What makes this property unique

In the summer I love the balmy gentle warm breezes so much that I never want to go to bed.
In the winter the snow is beautiful and the occasional moose and elk herd that surrounds the house is a real treat to see.
