Welcome to Costa Vista #2! Imagine being able to sun-tan, read a book, sip a cocktail or have a cup of tea with the reflective blue, green and white colors of the nearby ocean complementing the picture.

Perhaps you may prefer a leisurely walk to submerge yourself in the calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea to swim or dive. Spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea from all rooms and all three levels of this fantastic Townhouse including a 180 degree view from the roof terrace! How about having a barbecue party on the roof terrace after a day of swimming and shopping!

Located within a short distance of the West Coast beach, supermarket, restaurants and duty free shopping; Costa Vista offers affordable holiday luxury on the Gold Coast of Barbados. This spacious townhouse is located within a new up market development of 7 townhomes, and affords comfortable living with all equipment and utilities included. An inclined driveway leads to the front of the unit and its patio entrance.

On the ground level there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with tub/shower. Downstairs one will find the guest suite which includes a bedroom, bathroom, and a private lounge area with TV. The second floor and roof top deck is where all the excitement is with a large open concept kitchen flowing onto a spacious living area and covered patio. A sweeping staircase leads up onto the rooftop deck where one can experience views that are out of this world. The roof top is perfect for relaxing, tanning or having a barbecue.

Notes on accommodation

All living areas have air-conditioning with ceiling fans to dining room, lounge and main bedrooms. Unit location on a hill may not be suitable for wheelchair access or very young children.

No smoking and no pets allowed.

Accessibility

Although parking is at the door, it is not suitable for wheelchair users since Costa Vista #2 is on top of a hill. The pool and gazebo are on top of the hill and is accessible via stairs.

Roof terrace 550 sq ft with gas barbecue grill, table and chairs external electrical sockets and lighting. Patio furniture on level 2 terrace. Shared pool with gazebo. Waterfall and landscaped gardens. Car parking for two cars.

Coast/Beach

Fitts village beach is 500 yards away. Paynes beach is 5 mins by car with a variety of water sports including skiing, snorkeling and wind surfing.

Golf

Sandy Lane and Royal Westmorland less than 10 mins drive. Barbados Golf Club and Rockley Golf Club 30 minutes drive to the south coast.

Travel

Grantley Adams International airport is a 30 minute drive from Costa Vista. We can arrange transfers (price not included).

Distances

Fitts village is 500 yards away, while Hole Town is a 7 min drive. The capital Bridgetown is 10 mins by car. Oistins, St. Lawrence Gap and the south coast is 30 minutes drive.

Further details

Jordans supermarket is 500 yards away. Both the west and south coasts are plentifully supplied with excellent restaurants ranging from the up-market ‘The Cliff’ and ‘Restaurant at South sea for value for money waterside dining. Full information regarding restaurants is available in the villa. There are several local banks. All banks will change cash and travelers checks. No smoking and no pets allowed.

The Caribbean is by definition, filled with fantastic beaches and scenery. We choose to purchase a vacation home in Barbados primarily because of the beautiful people, the golf and the reliable infrastructure which allows us to relax and still get some work done if necessary via the internet.

What makes this townhome unique

Relaxing at night on the rooftop in the still of the night and staring up at the night sky is special. With at least a 90 degree view of the Caribbean sea from almost every room at three levels is simply special. A visit every now and then from the indigenous green monkeys makes the beer taste even better.

Good base for a holiday

We booked this rental house for 8 people and it accomodated us all well, so we didn't feel cramped or on top of each other.

The house is a set of 7 tearraced houses, with the manager to the property living at number one.

The house is set on four floors, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom in the basement, another 2 bedrooms, both with small balconies and a bathroom on the ground floor. There was then an open plan kitchen and living room on the next level with a small balcony and finally a roof terrace which had the washing lines one side and some sun chairs the other side.

The stairs are open plan format which were not a problem for us but i would not recommend it for the less able or children under five due to safety issues.

We used the air con in the bedrooms at night and just the ceiling fans in the living room during the day. Being short i found it hard to open the kitchen window to get a through breeze and had to climb onto the work surface to do this as the window handle is broken to slide the window open, not a problem for me but not good for the less able. the alternative would be to use the air con, so not an issue.

There is a very steep drive and as we had a large car didn't feel safe driving to the top as the car was starting to tip. The manager was brilliant and offered us another parking space lower down.

The kitchen was well equipped electrically, but we had to ask for some extra bowls as there were only 3 on our arrival. Bowls were provided instantly from the managers own kitchen.

Wifi was good for a rental property, good connection if close to the box.

Pool is shared with 6 other houses but we were the only ones in it most of the time, monkeys liked to watch us some days, which my daughter thought was funny.

Pool, house and the gardens are well maintained.

Bathroom towels and beach towels are provided.

The hot water ran out if we all had showers at the same time , so we had to use the back up water a few times. Washing machine is good but again you need the hot water from the solar panels so hard to find the right time to use it if you go out for the day. Didn't use the tumble drier as we put all our washing on the roof to dry.

We had an amazing holiday here and loved watching the cruise liners from the roof terrace, especially at night.

We love Barbados and used to live here and a holiday in this house didn't dissappoint.

Manager was great and the maid came in twice during a 2 week stay.

Beautiful Barbados home in perfect location

Costa Vista 2 is a beautiful slice of paradise! The home is located in a great spot: a short walk to the supermarket, beach access, a quick drive to Bridgetown, and with an amazing view.

We were a bit disappointed that the bathroom on the main floor was not working. It made it necessary to travel all the way downstairs to the bedroom to use the facilities. We were made aware of this upon check-in, but we thought it was going to be repaired during our stay.

Being that was our only complaint, we would highly recommend Costa Vista 2 to any and all. For starters, working with Neil was an entirely pleasurable experience!! He is so outgoing and friendly, and prompt with answers for all questions during the booking process as well as the time leading up to vacation. The home itself is beautiful inside and out. Like I mentioned above, the location could not be better! Everything you need is a very short distance away. It is well apportioned and the pool area is the perfect size.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas and New Years vacation in Barbados thanks to Neil and his beautiful home, Costa Vista 2!!! If you don't try it you are missing out!

Beautiful, spacious villa with fabulous views

My wife and I had a fantastic, relaxing month at Costa Vista #2 back in February-March 2016. The villa is beautiful and in great condition. It is comfortable and has a great view of the west coast of Barbados and of the Caribbean.

The beach is a 5-10 minute walk away (with a good bit of exercise coming back up the hill afterwards). The main road with bus connections to the towns and elsewhere is only a 5 minute walk away. The roof terrace offers a great place to sunbathe or watch the sunset over the Caribbean, and the balcony is a fabulous place for breakfast and to watch the monkeys and birds. Ms Evelyn was there to greet us and make us feel welcome, and Ms Annice came regularly to keep the place spotless. Neil (the owner) was very quick to respond to any queries we had over the month by text/e-mail.

There are plenty of great restaurants within a bus ride, plus Jordans supermarket down the hill if you want to cook for yourself. Try Wendy's neighbourhood bar for great (and cheap) local cuisine - it's up Risk Road which is about 15 minutes' walk away - or a short drive.

All in all, we can't recommend Costa Vista #2 highly enough. We would return now if we could and definitely aim to get back there sometime in the not too distant future.

Fantastic Stay at Costa Vista

My first visit to Barbados was amazing! I would highly recommend Costa Vista #2. The well appointed house had all the amenities you could possibly need. I loved the swimming pool!

You can't ask for a better view of the ocean than from the rooftop balcony. The location is so convenient as well. Five minute walk to the bus line, grocery store and Fitts Village beach, which is a very quiet and relaxing beach, equipped with beach chairs and umbrellas for a small fee.

The owners, Neil and Sonya, were so accommodating and were always readily available to answer any questions.

Definitely consider Costa Vista #2 for your next stay in beautiful Barbados!

Excellent Vacation Home!

We traveled here as extended family. The layout was great...master, then 2 twins on basement level (with full bath), main floor had another master, then 2 twins (and full bath), upstairs was kitchen and living quarters. Wonderful to have A/C in all rooms!!! We saw the local chickens (children named them Royal, Raisin, and Grape) and monkeys (Plumeria, Richard, Strawberry, and Nut) from our house and balcony. Supermarket is right down the street, though, if you have transportation, I recommend Massey grocery stores inland...prices are better and shopping is much more modern. Beach close to the property is very rocky...recommend water shoes for this beach. LOVED Boatyard beach and Pebbles Beach...so kid friendly!

Wonderful unit, everyone was so friendly...if we get to come back, we will want to stay there again!!!

Great stay at a great rental!

Our week at Costa Vista was spectacular! You're within a 5-10 minute walk of a supermarket, restaurant, bus stop and the beach. Fitts Village is between Bridgetown and Holetown, the two main cities in Barbados, and you aren't far from either. You can either take the bus, or rent a car (which is what we did).

The listing is very accurate. The apartment was clean, and the pictures are current. It's just as nice as it looks, no mirages or outdated pictures here. The owner and property manager gave us great service and responded promptly to our questions.

A couple of our favourite aspects were:

You have a full kitchen: oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, microwave etc, which is great to cook some meals yourself. The living room had a TV. The listing says very basic cable I believe, but there was a good number of channels. The internet worked very well throughout the apartment.

There is a rooftop deck with a barbecue that I really enjoyed. You have a great view of the water, and we watched the sunset up there every evening. It's a nice place to lay in the sun throughout the day as well.

The only thing that I would caution potential renters about is that this is located on a steep hill. We didn't have a problem getting up and down, but it wouldn't be very friendly to elderly guests or wheelchairs. For the general population, it's fine.

I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to others, and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Barbados.
