About Suzanne Fiorito

We are a friendly retired couple who do not use this entire sizable estate. Our goal is to stay out of your way but to make this a 5 star experience. We are here if you need us but also very aware of your need for privacy and a place of peaceful rest.

Suzanne Fiorito purchased this studio in 2007

Why Suzanne Fiorito chose Kauai

We enjoy visitors and have beach toys, kayak to share. We also offer extreme privacy. Our guests have included honeymooners, babymooners, celebrants of anniversaries, and birthdays. We have had guests from all over the world.

What makes this studio unique

This is not cookie cutter condo living, but rather an experience of country living on a private & quiet estate. There are many activities within a short drive. Whale watching, beaches, hiking, biking and all the beauty that only the North Shore has to offer.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for opening your Hale to us. We cannot imagine a better way to spend our honeymoon on the Island. Your accommodations were just perfect for us, far removed enough to enjoy the quiet and nature but close enough to go into the different towns and beaches. We are already planning our next trip back. Maybe our paths will cross one day in sailboats on Lake Michigan! Mahalo!

Home away from home on Kauai!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I couldn't be happier about our stay in Suzy and Stan's Hale on the North Shore of Kauai. This was our 5th trip to the island so we knew we wanted to stay in the Kilauea and Suzy and Stan's property was absolutely stunning.

The home is located down a side road and has a very private, tranquil, country feel. No neighbors in sight from the cottage and nothing like waking up in bed to the view of the mountains in the distance and two horses in the pasture looking down at you waiting for you to feed them a morning apple. The routine of waking up, making coffee, and sitting out on the lanai as Silky and Chamois (their two AMAZING dogs) come to greet you with their favorite toys made us feel more at "home" than any hotel ever could. Suzy and Stan had the perfect balance of being very friendly and helpful without ever making us feel overwhelmed. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet (no roosters in the morning!...if you have ever been to Kauai, not having them start their routine at 4AM right outside your window was a blessing!).

If it were possible we would absolutely be returning next year to stay on Suzy and Stan's property again...what a perfect trip!

Owner's Response: Adam, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We were very happy with you as guests as well and most appreciate how tidy you left the premices and how very nice of you that you took the linins to the laundry room. Most do not bother and many leave in a mess on the floor. You two are five-star guests Adam.

Tranquility defined

  • 5 of 5

This lovely guest cottage on a neatly and well-maintained manicured property has just the right balance of tranquility and proximity to north shore attractions. Long and empty Larsen's Beach is a healthy walk or short drive away, and the cafes and pubs Kilauea are only a 5-10 minute drive away. Stan and Suzy were gracious hosts -- providing a warm welcome on arrival and checking on us from time to time to ensure we were comfortable, but at the same time giving us plenty of space and privacy. Our stay was everything we hoped for in a romantic getaway and we would definitely recommend it to family and friends seeking peace and quiet in a lush island setting.

Tranquil stay in a beautiful cottage

  • 4 of 5

This is a grand property and Stan and Suzy are personable and gracious hosts. If you enjoy getting away from the hustle of the tourism path then this tranquil cottage is the site for you. What you next need to know about this property is that it is on the market to be sold and you may be asked to have the unit in prime condition available to be shown. The only reason we marked the property from a 5-star to a 4-star is that we were not informed of this until after we had placed our deposit and a couple weeks prior to our visit. Would it have changed our decision? Possibly, probably not given my wife's love of animals but it did stress our unapologetic desire to be 'relaxed' in our neatness. Enough of this let's get on to the site.

The cottage has the most spectacular view of the island's mountain range from a northern perspective cloaked in clouds and mist. For someone who hikes the Sierra Nevada in California I never tired of sitting on the couch soaking in its beauty. It's every bit as mesmerizing as laying on a beach watching the waves crashing on the reef or shore. We were surrounded by all sorts of animals, ranging from the dogs Chamois and Silky, along with horses, cattle and bird life.

We found the bed just to our liking in terms of firmness. My back is particular against beds that are too soft and we slept great throughout the whole trip. We ate out nearly the entire trip so we can't really speak to the adequacy of the kitchen for comprehensive cooking but it completely met our needs.

Owner's Response: We did tell Kelly and her husband that our property was going on the market and that there might be a showing but if they iid not wish to have the cottage shown, we would understand and tell the agents they could not show it. They could have chosen to cancel and rebook somewhere else. Nothing occurred until the last day of their trip. We asked if it would be possible. They said yes. if they said no, we would not allow the cottage to be shown. But, they said yes. I told them, if they picked up a bit, I would come in and tidy up and remake their bed, which I did. They were leaving the next morning and agreed they could easily pack up that evening prior to leaving. As it turned out, the open home produced no visitors. I fail to understand why Kelly and her husband were put out at all as we always expect our guests to put their own trash in the bins and put their washed dishes away. Since they left the property at 6:00 AM to catch a flight, this would have needed to be done after they got home from dinner that night. So one way or the other they would have needed to do these things. Also, we gave Kelly and her husband a nice box of Chocolates as a thank you gift. FUTURE GUESTS, PLEASE NOTE: The price range of this property is very high. Since we listed the property, there have been no showings. We will not be having another open home as they do not produce any potential buyers. If we do get a showing, and we ask for your permission to show the property, you may say, "NO", and we will respect your wishes. Anyone booking should also know that we will not sell the house out from under any guests who are booked. We are committed people and your reservation is safe with us. Suzanne and Stan Fiorito

We are in an area of private estates that used to be all agricultural many years ago. For this reason, it is extremely quiet, no traffic noise and you can hardly see another home from our property, roof top here and there in the distance. It is extremely private and pretty. Beaches, boat tours, zip lining, riding, snorkeling and hiking are all near by. We also are located in a perfect place to explore the entire Island. Resturants galore are only 10-30 minutes away. A new Starbucks is being built only 10 minutes away and the Kilauea bakery is close for morning yummies, speciality coffees and Pizza.
