Beautiful 3BR/2BA Lake Jackson Retreat located on a magnificent 9400 acre sandy bottomed recreational lake. Even though Lake Jackson is the largest lake in Sebring, it is not congested with heavy traffic like some of the other lakes in Sebring and Lake Placid. The lake also boasts of 2 resturants with bars that you can boat to!
The 2100 sq. ft. home has hardwood laminate flooring thru-out, a TV room, living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and 3 spacious bedrooms. The master has a king bed, while both guest rooms have twin beds. Lake Jackson offers boating, water skiing, fishing as well as all other water related activities. There is a public boat ramp and beach down the street for your convenience.
The area has a wide variety of restaurants (Outback, Ruby Tuesday, Roadhouse, Olive Garden, to name a few), shopping (Lakeshore Mall, Wal-Mart, Michaels, Marshalls, Ross; there are more) and grocery stores (Publix, Wal-Mart, Winn-Dixie and Sweetbay). The downtown historic district is less than a mile from the home. Sebring International Raceway is less than 7 miles away. Disney, Sea-World and Universal are only a 90 mile drive. Or, if you prefer, you can reach either coast within 2 hours. Lake Jackson offers a 12 mile bike/walking path around the lake. Hammock State Park is just up the street and offers scenic natural habitat walking trails. Sebring is a golfer and fisherman's paradise. Highlands county offers over 13 golf courses and 80 named lakes. Lake Okeechobee is known as the bass capital of the world.
The home offers a 'rocking chair' porch in the front and a very large screened in lanai in the rear. The private fenced in back yard consists of a free form patio, lush landscaping and a Jacuzzi spa. If you are looking to retreat from the race for a time, then this is the place. If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact us at your convenience.

My wife and I grew up in opposite ends of the country, She is from the Mid-West and I am from Orlando. We came to Sebring for a weekend and loved the area so much, we decided to buy the home. It reminded us both of the small towns we grew up in (before Disney, Orlando was nothing more than orange groves and lakes). The oak trees and Spanish moss, the downtown area shaped in a wagon wheel, all reminded us of things we missed back home. There is no question Sebring has a lot to offer. Once you visit, we hope you feel the same way too. Craig & Marcie, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
Craig Wahnish purchased this house in 2006
Great place and very clean! The owner was a pleasure to work with too! The pictures do not give it justice also. Close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Would definitely recommend!
The home is very clean and nicely appointed with just about anything we needed. The owner, Craig, was very accommodating and a real pleasure to deal with. We would definitely return. The lake is beautiful and perfect for tubing, skiing and fishing. Great place!
We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, spacious and private. Our pets loved the lanai. The owner was pleasant to work with and responded to our questions in a timely fashion. If we come to Sebring again we would definitely stay at this vacation rental.
We spent the month of April at this private home. We would love to come back next year but somebody beat us to it. We loved all the outdoor areas. There is the front porch with rocking chairs where you can watch walkers and bikers go by or just watch the lake. Then there is the back screened in area with table and chairs. And lets not forget the hot tub with sitting area outside. We were comfortable there and loved the area. Anytime I called the owners, they were very accommodating. We found no complaints with this place at all. Thank you for sharing it with us.
We just spent 3 months at this place and can tell you it is all it says to be. The owners are very easy to work with and took very good care to see that our time was enjoyable. The sidewalk around the lake is easy for walking and biking which we did a lot of. The lake is low right now but just beautiful. Made several trips to Hemmock State Park for hiking, viewing aligators, and the Sour Orange Pie. Afterwards relaxing in the hotub with a cool one was the end of perfect days. The screened in rooms are perfect to relax and catch up on reading. It is just a Perfect place to spend the winter months and hope to return some day. ( also keeping tabs on three playful squirrels while enjoying evening cocktails will help you relax)
There is a plaque, on the front of the Jacuzzi that says: "It doesn't get any better than this!" --- that's a true statement if I've heard one!
We just stayed here, for a month, and it was exactly what anyone would hope for in a Sebring rental home! It's a very clean home and it looks exactly like the photos from the listing. We felt very much "at home" and I especially love that the house is so spacious due to the layout. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and since we have 2 children, that was a huge plus! Everyone was comfortable for the entire stay…it's beautifully decorated and well appointed. From the silverware to extra sheets and towels…it's all taken care of. The laundry room has everything you need….the fridge is big enough for your fresh catch and the enclosed outdoor area is perfect. There is a nice grill and a sitting area with a HUGE umbrella. Oh, and don't forget the jacuzzi! The front porch is perfect for sitting, in the evening, looking out at beautiful Lake Jackson. The house is in the best location - under 3 miles from a public boat ramp, TWO swimming areas with covered picnic tables, TWO playgrounds (both, on the lake!), the library, Highlands Little Theater, the famous "Circle", the Children's Museum, top restaurants and shopping….the list goes on and on! The "Lost Mines of Atlantis" is about 10 minutes away and it's so much fun! We went to Sea World, Universal Studios, and Aquatica during our stay and it only took us about an hour from the driveway to the front gate! The house is also close to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, in Tampa. There's wireless internet and ethernet, satellite TV, DVD player, etc. There is a back porch area that is screened in and nice privacy fence. I really liked that I could walk right out the front door and go for a nice, long run around the lake….there are even 1/2 mile measurements marked on the sidewalk! Honestly, you could not find a better house to relax and enjoy all that Sebring has to offer!
We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay and we would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to relax and "get away from it all", while being close to everything at the same time. So, book it while you can and enjoy!
***Thanks for your hospitality….you have a special house in a special place…thank you for a wonderful time!
