Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday home in Lake Placid - Lakefront Vacation Rental

2 Bedroom, 1Bath, Sleeps 4 to 6.

Cozy 2 bedroom 1 bath lakefront getaway on Lake June. Located in the cove (best spot on the lake).

Completely remodeled interior, cabinets , appliances, etc. Large screened patio. Basement with washer and dryer. Multi-level decks down to the lake. Dock with 2nd floor deck to enjoy coffee in the morning, margaritas and sunsets in the evening. Mooring whips for your boat. Jet ski lift. Downtown Lake Placid is within walking distance (1.5 miles). It is a small town with a Mayberry feel. There are antique shops, craft shops, a hardware store, drug store, and other assorted stores. There are also several popular restaurants for breakfast and lunch. On US 27, in town, you will find Publix and Winn-Dixie supermarkets. You can find most things that you might need on a vacation here but if you can't find what you need here in town, Sebring is just 15 minutes north.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Mike and Trish

We can't tell you how pleased and surprised we were with the rental. Sometimes you wonder if it as good as pictures look and it sure was. The manual that you left made it so easy to feel like we had been to Lake Placid before. It's a beautiful place to relax and just enjoy the surroundings, the sunsets are amazing and the moon on the lake at night with all the lights across the bay wonderful.

As far as what you could do to make it better, I don't know what it would be. Everything was so well stocked and delightfully decorated and Larry really appreciated the wireless internet that way he could do his business right from the porch. Even our little dog Katie loved to go down and chase the waves, not a real bright dog but she's lovable.

I think I left the names of a couple of other eating places that we found that you can add to your list.

All in all we had a wonderful vacation and we sure didn't want to come home to a snow storm that gave us 15+ inches accompanied by 25mph winds followed by four days of 20-30 below temps. We are definitely ready to come back. If a vacation is in

our future for next year you will be hearing from us.

Thank you so much for such a good time, we couldn't have asked for more.

Thanks Again Larry and Pam

We totally agree with the previous comments. The cottage is a great place to stay. We had a tough time trying to find something that Mike hadn’t already provided. What more can we say than we are returning next year! Thanks for a great holiday.

PS. The sunsets are amazing!

"Heaven on Earth" Best Retreat Ever

  • 5 of 5

All the reviews were right on target, we spent 3 nights this Christmas 2015 with my 3 boys and pets, we all had an amazing time at the lake house. The pictures don't do justice, the house is extremely well set up and cozy, all the amenities that Mike keeps in the house came in handy. I forgot my reading glasses and used the one that is in the kitchen cabinet. My kids and dogs had a blast swimming in the lake, and overall we felt right at home. I think that's Mike's (Owner) intention to make every single guest feel right at home. By the way, it goes without saying that dealing with him was like dealing with an old friend. Thank you Mike for your hospitality and allowing us to stay at your beautiful Lake House, we will be back....

Family fun on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

My mom, sister, sister's two kids and dog, and myself had such a GREAT time at this lake house!!! The house was PERFECT and had everything we needed (and then some), although we spent the majority of our time swimming in the lake. Everything was neat and clean and the house was well stocked. We were so comfortable and entertained there that we never even ventured out, except for one grocery store run. The owner, Mike, is so friendly too. I HIGHLY recommend this house for a relaxing and fun get away!!!

My husband and I recently retired and decided to escape the northern cold by going to FL. We chose Lake June Retreat to spend our two months and we are so glad we did! We had a wonderful experience! The cottage is very clean and comfortable and has just about everything! The best part is we could have our boat right out the back door (in a great boat lift) and if we did not feel like being out on beautiful Lake June In the Winter, we could sit and relax on the dock and fish right from there! We especially enjoyed the screened porch, from which we could watch all kinds of birds, turtles, otters and other wildlife. Also the sunsets were amazing and we enjoyed their beauty almost every night.

The community of Lake Placid and surrounding areas hold many interesting places to explore. Stop at the chamber to get all the info you need to learn about this area and why Lake Placid is called the city of murals. Bullfrog Air Boat rides on Lake Istokpga was a wonderful trip and we learned about the history of that area and saw HUGE alligators!

Mike and Trish are excellent to work with, are very accommodating, and make a point to be sure you have everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed this cottage and area so much that we are already booked for next year and looking forward to our return!

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay

  • 5 of 5

'Everything we expected and then some!!' is the best way to describe our experience based on prior reviews. The house had everything we needed and then some (condiments in the fridge, spices in the cabinet, enough towels for an army, given the amount of dishes and seating area, could have had a party for 20, but only had a party for 4, margarita machine works awesome!!)...the layout of the property was perfect for our dogs and then some (fenced in yard, walk or jump off the wall into the water, plenty of squirrels and lizards to chase, dock for the pontoon boat we had)...got to know a couple of the neighbors and they were very nice. We will definitely be returning next year! And, yes, the sunsets are AWESOME!!!
