Watch eagles soar and trout jump from this one of kind 3,000 sq ft home on one of the Poconos' premier sporting rivers. A spacious very private home for family adventures that allows both family fun and privacy. This is a home for all seasons. The house is situated on the Lackawaxan River so you can swim and tube in the summer, fish in the spring, fall and summer. In colder moths, sit in the hot tub sipping cocoa while the snow falls, snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace or make smores around the large firepit in the backyard. Hike the dirt roads behind the property or bike along the historic Towpath Road. Many outdoor adventures are a short drive away. Well mannered pets are welcome.
The large open home sits up the hill overlooking the Lackawaxan River. Watch eagles soar from the banks of the river or through the large floor to ceiling windows in, the great room. Trout are abundant making this house a sport fishing dream come true. Across from the driveway is the river access with a serene seating area. Swim, tube, nature watch and fish from this private river beach. The back yard is surrounded by trees and stone fences making it secluded and inviting. This is where you will find the six person hot tub, fire pit, gas barbecue and children play area.
The house has four bedrooms and easily sleeps eight people; two bedrooms are on the ground floor and two on the second floor. The kitchen is large and open to the great room, with enough amenities to cook and serve a holiday feast. There is a spacious game room on the second floor. Complete with a pool table, 52 inch TV, board games and comfortable couches. There is another TV located on the first floor, so everyone can watch what they like.
In the back of the house is an airy screened-porch; a great place for morning coffee or an after dinner aperitif.
Wifi and Direct TV are provided at the house, there is a DVD player and small library of books.
The house is a short 15 minute drive to Big Bear Ski resort. It is also close to horseback riding, river rafting, canoeing and kayaking, family fun parks, antiquing, quaint towns, amazing restaurants, museums and Parks.
Be sure to bring your fishing gear, bikes and sleds in the winter for year round fun. Linens are provided.
For the summer months of July and August we require a minimum of 6 nights stay.
