Staying in Poipu a couple times prior we have always stayed at hotels. This time we decided to stay at a condo as we did not need the hotel amenities which was the best idea yet. The condo was perfectly located on the top floor at the end of the complex with an amazing view! The parking was very accessible and covered which is a plus as well. Upon entering the condo I noticed a welcome note from Julie and fresh flowers in which I Ioved how inviting it felt. Being from the main land AC is a nonnegotiable for me so I was pleasantly supprised how the window AC along with the ceiling fan kept the unit pretty cool. We didn't cook anything in the condo but did notice that it was pretty stocked with everything you would need! Julie also stocked the storage on the deck with the necessary ocean essentials which we appreciated! My one little hiccup is if you arnt an early bird, make sure to cover the window below the AC unit as the sun shines right in your eyes around 6am in the morning. All in all we loved this until and its character and would totally stay here again when we come back the island!
Having stayed at many condos on the various Hawaiian islands, I can say this studio at Prince Kuhio was a wonderful value and provided a welcoming stay!
The studio is conveniently located in the Poipu area. The small Lawai Beach is right across the street. It's a short drive to Poipu Beach and walking distance (or a very short drive) to Kukui'ula Village Shopping Center--which has several dining options. The lawn of the Beach House Restaurant across the street is a great place to watch the sunset.
The unit is pretty spacious for a studio. It was very clean and well equipped with a cute "tropical bamboo" decor. We really appreciated all the kitchen necessities as well as the beach chairs & cooler. It's so convenient to have these items provided. There is an ocean and park view from the lanai. If you're a light sleeper--the roosters in the park next door may be an issue (I personally think they add to the charm of Kauai). Just use earplugs or turn the air on at night to help with that. There is ample parking available--there is a small lot as well as a parking garage shared with the complex next door.
Communication with the owner was fantastic. She sent a cute card with instructions for getting to the condo, where the best place to park was, etc. before we even left home. The instructions were perfect--no getting lost or wondering if we were in the right spot. The owners even left a nice thank you card with coffee, tea, & a calendar for us upon arrival--a very nice personal touch. Also, received another personalized thank you card with the return of my deposit. It's great to deal with such attentive & thoughtful owners who carry on the Aloha spirit! Mahalo Julie & Darryl!

This was a really cute little condo - nicely furnished with a full kitchen. The location was great - right across the street from the Beach House Restaurant and a snorkeling beach (when the water cooperates). Also a nice place for watching surfers. Just down the road from Spouting Horn and Allerton Gardens. Only a short distance to dining, shopping and Poipu Beach. It is on the 3rd floor and only has stairs so that was a negative if you are going to be coming and going very much. Covered parking available.

My husband and I take our annual escape to the island of Kauai and have stayed in numerous vacation rentals, both on the North and South shores. After having stayed in many different condos over the years, we have gravitated over the last several to the Prince Kuhio Condos (PKC), primarily for the amenities, location and ambiance. We particularly enjoy the Seaview unit, #337. We find the PKC to be the best value on the island and the Seaview has a premium location within the complex. Although convenient to the pool area, it is tucked away from the pool and street noises, is private, close to covered parking and located on the top floor. Since the Seaview is a corner unit, it receives great trade wind ventilation, has a lanai overlooking Prince Kuhio Park and has an ocean view. The kitchen is well equipped and the unit has cable TV, CD player, phone and free wifi and all the beach going gear. After a long day of activities, we are greeted with a comfortable queen size bed in a very tastefully decorated Island/Asian motif. Our hosts and owners of the unit, Julie and Darryl, live nearby on the Island and provide the utmost in assistance and friendliness, enhancing our stays there; we are always comfortable and welcomed with aloha. You truly couldn’t ask for a nicer location and vacation getaway for your next trip to paradise!
