This is a one level (no stairs) condo located in Avalon at the Bahia Vista. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus fireplace and can sleep 6. It is located on the top third floor of complex and has easy elevator access.

Beautiful views of trees and hillsides and partial ocean views off balcony. It is light and airy with vaulted ceilings and an open feel.

The condo has wifi and cable t.v. with flat screen T.V.s in each bed room and a 3rd T.V. in the main room. Bahia Vista is one of the few complexes in Avalon that has a private "Bahia Guest," pool and jacuzzi with a garden setting.

The location of the condo with in the complex is conveniently close to the pool but not directly you do not hear the "pool noise". The condo is privately located at the end of the complex so there is very little foot traffic going by. Walking distance to everything Avalon has to offer, beaches, boating, dinning, golf, sightseeing tours and more.

I have been coming here with my family since 1969. My family came to Catalina as a boating destination and fell in love with Avalon and wanted a place we could call home. Four generations have enjoyed the island and all of the wonderful activities it has to offer. My family and I are avid sportsman we enjoy the crystal clear water to Scuba Dive, beautiful coastal scenery for kayaking stand up paddle boarding & the views for hiking, and the beautiful clean beaches to relax on.

We chose to buy a vacation rental at this location because no where else can you get an island retreat so close and economically convenient in Southern California. The island has so many fun activities all with in walking distance.

What makes this condo unique

This vacation rental is just one hour away from Long Beach and San Pedro harbors and easily accessible from Newport and Dana Point as well. Enjoy dinning at one of the cozy little restaurants with views of the harbor or choose from sidewak cafes, family waterfront restaurants, casual eateries on the the pier or enjoy staying at the condo and cooking a home cooked meal. Catalina Island is one of the top dive and snorkeling destinations in the world with clean clear waters, giant kelp forests and abundant marine life. Enjoy shopping or relaxing at the famous "Desconso Beach" where you can be served adult beverages and food right on the beach. Tours include the new Zip Line tour, semi submersible sub, underwater garden walk, jeep tours of the inland and more. Not interested in spending money on tours, you will find a lot of fun things to do on the island that don't hardly cost a thing, swimming, fishing, hiking, relaxing on the beach or by the pool. The city of Avalon often provides free entertainment in the center of town, music, art displays and more. There are also many special events through out the year on Catalina Island which include a Jazz festival, Art Show, Special 4th of July celebration and New Year's Eve Ball

Great location, spacious.

We had a wonderful weekend on Catalina Island. The whole town is within walking distance of the condo. Much more room than a hotel. 70s original kitchen and furnishings a bit dated. Local folks were so friendly and welcoming. Three hour jeep tour is lots of fun and a great way to see the whole island.

Cozy condo

The condo was exactly as pictured. It’s cozy, nothing fancy, but suited our stay perfectly. We were a short 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and bars in Avalon. We didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi, but both looked fun as well and are definitely a perk. Check in and check out were a breeze. For the price, it is a bargain. I would definitely stay here again. Definitely met expectations!

The owner was very responsive. The location of the apartment was close to amenities yet it was quiet. The kitchen and bathrooms were sufficiently stocked. The only negative is that there weren't enough blankets/sheets.

Suited our requirements for a short stay

Third floor condo was very quiet and only about four blocks from the main street. We walked everywhere including to the ferry. The sofa was well worn and oven seal on stove badly frayed. The king bed headboard was just propped against the wall. A few more mugs and real glasses instead of plastic ones would have been nice. Everything was functional though and the place was clean. Didn't use the pool or hot tub but the area looked inviting with lots of lounge chairs and plants.
