Awesome- Vermont charm!

  • 5 of 5

This place was great! We booked a last minute road trip and wanted to avoid chain hotels if possible. We found this VRBO that allowed 1 night stays (most have a 2 night minimum) and it looked decent. The pictures are a good representation of the place. It's not perfect, but we didn't want perfect. We wanted a secluded, charming, rustic, house that felt like Vermont.. this was it! Highly recommended.

Charming!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here! It is a perfect set-up staying with our grandchildren as there is lots of room for sleeping & play. There are plenty of games and books included for all ages. We used the croquet set, hammock and grill outdoors. The house is charming and inviting, I would definitely stay here again! Actually, I want to LIVE there! The host is very accommodating -- we had to contact her with a question and she was very congenial and helpful. There is one bathroom but the 6 of us had no issues taking turns.

Good get away

  • 4 of 5

The rental was clean and in good shape. The wifi did not work but most of our group was happy to disconnect for a day.

The description states the property is on 22 acres. We did not get to utilize the land as it was hard to identify where trails may have been.

Cozy, well equipped cottage in the Vermont woods

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented this cozy cottage for a few days in late December, planning to ski at nearby Magic Mountain. When that resort was closed, we were happy to discover that Okemo is also nearby and had a great time skiing. We also enjoyed a wonderful tour of Plummer's Sugar House and a hike in the woods near the cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful, clean, and very well kept, with everything we needed. The kitchen was very well set up with a full size stove, all the pots, pans, cookie sheets and pizza pans we needed to cook. The place was also warm and very comfortable. The loft was great for our kids and we were impressed that the extra sleeping spots were actually mattresses, not folding cots. Someone even came and plowed out the parking spots after it snowed!

Excellent Getaway Spot!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this place which was set among the Vermont trees and creeks. It was a perfect getaway and we loved that there was a one night option. Would have preferred to stay longer but work calls, so we appreciated the option which most vacation homes don't offer. The owner was a breeze to work with, and was very responsive and prompt, we will definitely reach out to her again for a repeat visit. The place overall was very clean and would have met even my own mother's high standards. We also enjoyed the fact that the home is well equipped with sheets, towels, kitchen supplies and plenty of games, books and puzzles to keep you entertained should the rain come calling. If its sunny, there are beautiful hikes nearby and even a jaunt up the street in front of the the home was relaxing and enjoyable. Last, the neighbors on the nearby properties were welcoming and friendly to us out-of-town folk and if you get lucky, their friendly dog might greet you upon arrival! A good option if you choose. Thanks again.
