This house is a convenient location and beautiful setting. It’s one of the best fishing lakes in Illinois. Pontoon rentals are also available at nearby marina. Excellent family restaurant and bar on the lake within walking distance. Take a nature hike on the thirteen mile trail around the entire lake. Tennis courts are available across the street. The adjoining townhome can also be rented for larger groups. Great year round retreat and very accommodating!

Why We Chose Apple Canyon Lake:: We enjoy the casual atmosphere. The development is full of fun loving people. We enjoy boating and entertaining. We love the sunsets, the 13 mile nature trail around the lake and the Apple Canyon State Park nearby.
Owners Profile:: We moved from Chicago's Western suburbs 31 years ago. We have been building and selling vacation homes in Jo Daviess County since 1979. This is the second town home that we purchased and rent at Apple Canyon Lake. We bought this one so that we could rent to larger groups and families. Each unit can handle 8 adults. Having the units side by side also seemed to be a bonus. Deb is an AIA architect specializing in residential and historic properties. Paul is a real estate broker in Jo Daviess County specializing in new construction and farms. We enjoy meeting new people and helping them make their dreams come true.

Loved, loved, loved this townhome and the location! Far enough off the beaten track that we really felt like we were getting away and yet still close enough to Galena to enjoy the town, dining, shopping, etc. The unit is gorgeous, extremely clean, nicely decorated and very spacious. Nice view of the lake and quiet. Loved the location and the Apple Canyon community. The owner was wonderful and very helpful. I am pretty critical of where we stay when away from home and can't say enough about this great getaway!

Great place to stay in and great location. It realy matched the owner's description and pictures. Very spacious on both floors, with plenty of supplies in each room. Everything looks brand new. Great view of the lake and Cove Restaurant is right down the hill. Owner was extremely helpful and showed us everything in the place when we arrived. Highly recommend staying here if you are headed to the Galena area.
Brand new townhome with all the creature comforts. ACL is a nice community, friendly people and clean lake with good fishing. The only way it could have been better would have been if we were on the water with our own boat.
