Welcome to one of Catalina Island's finest vacation rental properties. This is one of the newest properties in Avalon, as well as one of the best reviewed. This luxury built 3 story European inspired residence gives you the option of renting it as EITHER a 1 Bedroom and 2 Bath unit sleeping 2 people OR as a 2 Bedroom 2.5 Bath unit that sleeps 4.
Note: THIS IS JUST 1 RENTAL UNIT AND IT CAN BE RENTED AS EITHER A 1 BEDROOM THAT SLEEPS 2 MAXIMUM OR AS A 2 BEDROOM THAT SLEEPS 4 MAXIMUM. WHEN RENTED AS A 2 BEDROOM, ADD $60/Nt TO THE RATES LISTED IN THE RATES TAB. (For instance if the rate tab indicates $200/nt; then the rate if booked as a 2 bedroom would be $260/nt + tax & cleaning).
**Just to clarify, this is ONE rental unit, which you do NOT share with any other guests. You can EITHER book it as a 1 bedroom OR as a 2 bedroom. The 2nd bedroom is locked and you ONLY get access to it if you book as a 2 bedroom**
When rented as a 1 BEDROOM you get over 900 square feet of superb accomodations featuring the living room and FULL bathroom on the ground floor; a full deluxe kitchen with stainless steel appliances and breakfast nook on the middle floor; and a spacious master bedroom suite on the top floor with queen bed, flat screen TV and a sumptous bathroom with double sinks, separate toilet room, large stall shower and oversized Jacuzzi tub. (**NOTE: The prolonged drought has left Catalina Island with a severe water crisis and in September 2016 the town of Avalon went to Stage 3 water rationing which requires a 40% reduction in water usage for all properties with fines and stiff penalties for those that do not comply. During all stages of water rationing the large Jacuzzi tub in the top floor master will not be operable. The master bathroom still has a large stall shower and the ground floor full bathroom has a standard bathtub. In addition, we will be replacing most dishes and glasses with disposable plates and cups and the dishwasher will NOT be in use. The fireplace pictured in the top floor bedroom is not operable). 2 PEOPLE MAXIMUM WHEN BOOKED AS A 1 BEDROOM.

When rented as a 2 BEDROOM you get the extra bedroom with queen bed, flat screen TV and it's own 1/2 bath on the middle floor and totals about 1275 square feet. This 2nd bedroom also has a seasonal fireplace (operable only Nov-March). 4 PEOPLE MAXIMUM WHEN BOOKED AS A 2 BEDROOM - NO EXCEPTIONS.
So, this lovely upscale property can be rented as EITHER a 900 sqft 1 bedroom 2 bath sleeping 2 people maximum OR as a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath with fireplace and 1275 sqft sleeping 4 people maximum. NOTE: Although the 2 bedroom sleeps 4 people, there are just 2 places to sleep: Two people in the top floor queen bed and two people in the middle floor queen bed. It is ideal for 2 couples or a couple with 1-2 children. If you need 3 places to sleep, this will not work for you.

On the 2nd and 3rd floor landings are French doors that open against balcony pillars to provide sunlight, fresh air and partial views. (These are not step out balconies, but you get both whether you rent as a 1 bedroom or as a 2 bedroom) .
Out in front we have a small flagstone patio with our own 4 hole PUTTING GREEN that provides hours of fun for young and old alike!
Never again will you stay in a basic hotel room, when you can get ALL this for the same cost or less!
This lovely property is located on 'the flats' at 357 Clemente Avenue; corner of Tremont. It is 3 blocks from the waterfront and within 5-6 minutes walk to the golf course, miniature golf, shops, restaurants, bars, the beaches and all the various sightseeing tours available. It is also an easy fairly level 11-12 minute walk from the boat terminal; however with luggage you might prefer to take a taxi (cost @$12-15).
NO SMOKING and NO PETS. 2 People Maximum when booked as 1 bedroom and 4 People Maximum when booked as a 2 bedroom - sorry, NO Exceptions.
AGE RESTRICTIONS: Young adults on their own must be 24 years old. INFANTS & TODDLERS: This property is 3 stories with hardwood floors and stairs, with parents sleeping on the top floor and any children sleeping separately in the middle floor bedroom. Therefore, we do NOT feel this property is suitable for infants and toddlers. CHILDREN AGE 5 AND OLDER ARE WELCOME.
WE DO NOT HAVE A GOLF CART. (The one you might see in photos belongs to a neighbor).
We accept checks and PayPal. ANY BOOKINGS MADE WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF ARRIVAL MUST BE PAID THRU PAYPAL. Please read the RATES tab for rates and cleaning fees when booked as a 2 bedroom.

This place is amazing. The setting is gorgeous; it's very nicely decorated and well equipped. From it's nice quiet residential location we even saw deer roaming across the street. We hope to return.
We enjoyed our stay at the Grisham condo in the "low-lander" section of Avalon. If you can do stairs, this is the place to stay. On the ground level is the living room and a bath with shower. Up a flight of stairs is the 2nd bedroom with a bath without a shower and the kitchen. Up a flight of stairs is the lovely master bedroom and bath suite. It has double sinks and a roomy shower (jacuzzi tub cannot be used during the drought). The home has been recently renovated and has hard wood floors, tile and nice new furniture. We ate 2 breakfasts and 1 dinner here. The owner supplies paper goods, since the dishwasher is also not allowed to be used during the drought. The toilet in the master bath cycles on and off constantly, but if you close the door, it's not too annoying. It is only a short walk from "town." It is on a busy corner with lots of golf carts putt-putting by. We saw deer from our windows, as they come down for water. The house does not have AC, but has lots of fans. We opened the doors & windows for fresh cool air, which was lovely!
By far the cleanest, nicest, most up to dateplace we've ever stayed at in Catalina. We have been coming to the island for a very long time& have paid outrage prices for dumps. This was not a cheap place but it was exactly as described & looked just liked the pictures! The only slight draw back was the first floor sofa couch was not at all comfortable & I would suggest a nice rollaway bed instead! Anyways I highly recommend this condo!
I Was very pleasantly surprised at not only the outside this home (very unique) but the size and layout of the inside. The home was much larger than I thought it would be. Extremely well laid out, spotless and just a really nice place to spend your time. There were only two of us, but had there been 4, we would have all had tons of space. The owner was an amazing communicator and always available. I would stay again anytime and recommend it to anyone going to Catalina.
Randy's place is fantastic. My boyfriend and I went to Catalina for our first time for our annual birthday trip. This rental is in the perfect location, in a back corner but about a 5 min walk to town. We took the ferry over and we're just fine walking with our rolling suitcases to the property. It is extremely clean and quiet. I am in love with the top floor master bedroom/bathroom combo. We were leaving on Sunday and couldn't squeeze in a game of mini golf during the weekend so we spent some time on the put put in front of the house. You could tell the people driving past on their golf carts were jealous. And the bed is amazing! I actually asked Randy what type of mattress it was because it was so comfortable. If you're looking for a clean, spacious, fun place to stay, definitely check out this rental. Thanks Randy!!!
First let me tell you that the pictures do not do this rental justice. It is much nicer than the pictures and they are very attractive. I took my wife to Catalina for Valentine's Day weekend and we could not have picked a better place. It is just far enough out of the way yet close enough to the main street. The condo was SUPER clean and very modern. If we do go to Catalina again, we certainly will stay here.
We loved our visit to Catalina Island and this home away from home. The condo was very affordable, very clean, and so comfortable. The 2 full baths and 1/2 bath made getting ready for three women much quicker! The kitchen has updated appliances, and there are wood floors throughout. We were close to downtown and all the tours and activities, but yet in a quiet corner of town. I will definitely stay here again, and recommend to friends!
These rates apply when rented as a 1 BEDROOM unit, which sleeps 2 people maximum. When renting as a 2 BEDROOM, ADD $50/night to the rates listed above. For example: If the rate listed above indicates $200, then the rate when rented as a 2 bedroom would be $250. When rented as a 2 bedroom it sleeps 4 people maximum; sorry NO exceptions. Children age 5 and older are welcome. Higher rates apply over Major Holidays.
An initial payment of $100-$400 (depending on stay) is required at the time of booking with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. We accept checks and PayPal. Any bookings made within 3 weeks of arrival must be paid thru PayPal. NOTE: When rented as a 1 Bdrm the cleaning fee is $70. When rented as a 2 Bdrm the cleaning fee is $85.
