We are Norman & Jeanene McColl and we purchased this condo in March of 2015. We love Beech Mountain and all it has to offer and come here whenever we can. We live in Statesville and both still work. A great stay at Beech Mountain
Communication with Jeanene was top notch. She was also very flexible with our plans. We have stayed in this condo complex many times and agree the view from this unit is the best. Unit very well stocked with supplies. We hope to return. Note: The decks on this specific building have not been redone yet (as of 9/2019) and a previous review mentioned the paint coming off. This is true but a quick sweep with the broom and we were good to go for our stay. It will be super nice when they are redone as most of the other buildings in the complex have been completed. Internet was great and allowed for perfect streaming on our apple TV. Cable service is HD and a very good selection of channels. The TV is a 32in flat screen that can be positioned to face the living area or the beds.

Beautiful view from deck!
The place was clean and well equipped. We were not expecting a studio like apartment but it all worked out well. Comfortable beds. No AC but double sliding doors, ceiling fans and a floor fan kept it cool enough to sleep. We were gone most of each day but it was a nice place to come back to each evening.

Had a great time. Loved the condo. Only downside was the paint was peeling on the deck and stuck to your feet whenever you went out there.
The heat is electric and the winters are cold so please make sure you do not turn the heat down past 55 degrees if your stay is in the winter months.
The complex has not yet replaced the trash dumpsters so you must bag your trash and dispose of it at the city facility directly across from Fred's Mercantile. (This is 1.6 miles from the condo and there is a fence with large painted quilt-like squares and the dumpsters are behind the fence). (The cleaning service does not dispose of trash so please make sure you understand these instructions)
WEATHER - During ski season the usual temperature ranges are a low of zero to +10 degrees at night up to +30 to +40 in the daytime. On the other hand, we can have low temperatures of -20 and high temperatures in the 50's or 60's. DO NOT ASSUME anything about the weather here. The weather can change drastically in a matter of hours. Check the local weather report for a pretty accurate picture

Directions to condo: From Boone at the intersection of 321, 421 & 105, take 105 to Banner Elk, turn right on Hwy. 194 at Tynecastle (at the light), continue thru Banner Elk to the next light and turn left, then right on Hwy 184 (Beech Mountain Parkway) to the top. After you pass Fred's General Store it is approx. 1-1/2 miles to left on Village Road, just past entrance to the ski slopes. Take 3rd left, which is Upper Holiday Lane and go to Building F, we are on the top floor, Unit F322.
