For the outdoor person; first class fly fishing on Flat Creek North of the town of Jackson, viewing herds of wandering buffalo, riding on sleighs in the winter through the Elk Refuge, all summer hiking the mountains surrounded by fields of wild flowers, mountain streams and lakes, and in the rivers, white water rafting or all day boating.

Amazingly beautiful cozy cabin in unbelievable setting at the foot of the Tetons

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time exploring Grand Teton National Park and took a drive to Yellowstone. Lots of great days hiking park trails. We saw bison , eagles , beaver , and moose. Jackson has plenty of great places to eat.

This rustic log housekeeping cabin is a real gem and not to be missed. The pictures are nice but the cabin is even nicer ! We got to meet the owners, who live up the road and they are just the sweetest couple. It is all log construction and very snug. All the amenities you could ask for. 1 and 1/2 bathrooms and plenty of room for 2 people- and the couch in the living room opens to a bed. The kitchen has everything that you need. There are restaurants close by in Wilson and a quick stop grocery. The prices are a bit high, but there is an Albertsons in town with more selection at reasonable prices. Charlotte and the owners made us feel very welcome and right at home. The cabin is also off the beaten path a bit and 6 miles out of Jackson so you are secluded and away from the crowd.

Just book it if you're coming , you won't regret a minute ! We really hated to leave -it's so beautiful here.

Wonderful, secluded, yet easy access to everything

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is an absolutely charming, secluded, wonderful place to stay during a visit to Jackson Hole. It is very close to everything, yet you feel a world away when you arrive. It sits in a residential area, but is accessed by a gravel road, its rustic grounds are surrounded by a nicely wooded lot, and there is no clear visibility to any neighboring homes. A very natural setting, deer graze occasionally in the yard. While the description inaccurately says the is a “water view”, there is a peek-a-boo view of the mountain tops over the trees. The area is quiet as can be and very dark at night.

The unit is charmingly decorated. The queen bed is comfortable (though creaky), but the futon does not encourage extended lounging without compensatory pillows.

There are two delightful swinging benches, with super-comfy cushions, that encourage morning swings. The covered front porch is nice -- to be able to sit in the shade and/or watch a thunderstorm roll through.

There is a fire pit in the backyard, a tiny wood burning stove inside, with more-than-ample firewood piled up outside. An axe allows you to express your Paul Bunyon kindling-making skills. (The fire pit is set about a foot below ground, surrounded by rocks, which is challenging to access – you feel at risk of falling into the fire.)

There is a nice, gas-powered grill on the front porch.

Many windows do not have screens, which is frustrating when you want to have them open for a breeze. The in-room washer/dryer are super convenient for daily hikes, when you get so dusty and muddy. Electric heat with multiple thermostats provide ample, fast warmth … more than enough to dry out your boots when you’ve forded a stream 😉?.

Unfortunately, it seemed like they weren’t expecting us when we arrived. Aside from the lovely welcome note, the grass on the property was about 14” high (it was mowed later), the dishwasher had dishes in it and dirty water (and didn’t work), and many light bulbs were out. That being said, Management was very responsive to our needs when we expressed them.

I’d describe the caliber of the unit as equivalent to a three-star hotel, which as a rustic cabin, it provides terrific value. All-in-all, it is a wonderful place to stay (5 star!), in a amazing place in the world (5 star!), and one to which we would definitely return.

Wonderful cabin!

  • 4 of 5

Surprisingly well decorated and equipped cabin walking distance to Aspens Market. This is actually the guest house to a beautiful home, yet it is very private. Nice linens and dishes, very nice kitchen and dining area, cozy sitting room and bedroom. Perfect for two people, yet there is a sofa bed which could accommodate two children. A very special cabin at the base of the Tetons!
